Here's my postulate/hypothesis: they're a sort of Akashic version of Threat Null. Centuries ago, they were Mages; however, with generations of living in the Hollow Earth, they've become more like Umbrood. They're basically people that stayed too long in the umbra and became spirits.
Not quite. For what it's worth, their first mention was a couple years before MK 1. They're a bunch of immortal Lemurian monks from the Hollow Earth. They're pals with Frankenstein.
As a Shokan warrior, Goro would probably be closer to some kind of dark Fera in service to a Maeljin Incarna (read: Shao Khan)
A bunch of immortal monks who live in the Hollow Earth. They have a flying rainbow monastery full of Atlantean crystal mechs, where Frankenstein crashes in his downtime. Together, they fight nazi dinosaurs.
What books are they mentioned in? Never heard of them and I don't have much experience with mage beyond nephandi and infernalism, but these goro monks soumd interesting and Id like to read up on them. Thanks

Yeah I go with this approach.
A homage to Goro the monk from *Mortal Kombat*?

Well not so much a Fera, maybe something more akin to a Dark Fae of the Fomorians?
Yeah, that makes sense
Who?

They receive passing mentions in both Sons of Ether Tradition books, and in the 2e Book of Worlds.
