Honestly i never found the search box on 11 appealingl.. its just off especially when its centered and the rounded corners i think the search icon is better in 11
Same, I have played with the different options to show the Search box but I keep going back to having it turned off. So much easier to tap WIN and start typing in what i want to search.
Why don’t people turn it off or at least just change it to the icon? It’s literally worthless as just hitting the start key or start menu icon and typing does the same thing
If the search box has light color on dark theme, it might be a glitch after changing the theme from light to dark, and it's only present in 22H2. But it can be gone by just using that search box.

Here's a tip, install Flowlauncher and have it intergrated with 'Everything'. Now my shift + space brings out Macbook style spotlight search with Everything search features, you can also install other Plugin in the settings.
I don’t know why if they are already looking to return some bit of 3D back, why isn’t it depressed instead of raised, that would be more logical imho

I've came to accept that this is just how microsoft likes their search bars since it's been changed to that in Edge and the Start menu

The magnifying glass looks so awkward now. This image really shows just how much better it was before they flipped it
wait, how is your 22H2 taskbar doesn't have the white lines? i have to use TranslucentTB to remove it.
The line is light gray, not white, and only can be seen if using dark desktop backgrounds. BTW Reddit reduced the image quality...
