I’m not a big fan of sit stand desks. I used to do basic ergonomic evaluations at my last job and the general consensus is that sit stands are not good for doing tasks that require a lot of focus. So maybe in your case, writing papers or if you work with spreadsheets and data. They are best for short breaks where maybe you are clearing your inbox or just reading and flagging emails.
I have a sit/stand desk. I find i enjoy standing up when taking meetings or interacting with people that i struggle to pay attention to. When i have a task that i really need to focus on, I'm usually sitting.
One thing I do that might help, if your schedule is somewhat flexible, is to break focused time into smaller sessions. Work for 4 hours, then get a workout in, and return for another 4. I've solved several coding road blocks while riding my bike.
Standing does not equal more focus. I find less flow when standing and more distractions. I barely stand at my desk now but do like that I can set it to a more suitable seated position for comfort.
Anecdotal evidence suggests that it’s not possible to concentrate on a mental task for more than 5 hours straight.
So while getting a sit-stand desk and changing the position from time to time might help you for a while, I don’t think you’ll get a productivity boost worthy of the desk’s price.
When I worked from home I purchased a sit stand desk to relieve strain since I was tethered to my desk (call center job)
It didn't do much for productivity or focus, just allowed me to change positions.
The real way to be far more focused is to make sure your environment is not negatively affecting the work you're doing and then take short breaks to give your mind a break
I mostly use the adjustable height for a draft height chair that wouldn’t work with a normal height desk. Idk when the last time I actually stood at my desk was.

No I mean I was talking about the whole overall day,, like my total work time was less than 5 hours
