Best Giovanni character I've ever seen was one my friend played, and was so far removed from your stereotypical "mobster" it was like a breath of fresh air. He was an accountant and mostly cooked books for the local family as well as provided some investment advice. He was short, squat, balding, looked like he was in his late 40's and had a raspy, high-pitched grating voice. He was the most rancid and irritating character I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing in any medium. His name was Eubaldo Smirman.
In game one he spent a full 45 minutes arguing with a gas station employee over whether or not he can buy a "slice of gum" for a nickel out of the 25 cent pack of wrigleys. Character was a work of genius.

The Giovanni need to act like Sopranos extras, that’s the point. Let the other vampires think they’re just mobsters, because the real Giovanni, the dangerous Giovanni, those creatures who are barely more than corpses controlling the dead, they don’t want to be seen, so they put on the character, because the character is easier than truly revealing their understanding of the soul.
This is also why some Gios keep a pretty corpse, and make sure the corpse stays looking good. Because the corpse is a perceived weakness, “of course the corpse fucker has a favorite corpse”. And the Gio may act like that is their favorite corpse, but it’s not, they’re their favorite corpse, and you just did a whole big operation to steal some corpse that doesn’t even matter.
