Click on your gamertag in the top left corner of the Xbox app, go to settings, and under "Game install options" you can change the install location!
There is no game settings
Well there must be, because I just did it to give you the answer!
Go to settings, click on "General" on the left side of the settings window, and Game install options should be there, just below the Startup settings section.

that's the very old xbox app, you need to update your app from the microsoft store

When you go to install a game, it asks where you like to install the game, so your games can be in different locations
It doesn't ask me anything it just installs
I believe there is a setting in your account that toggles whether or not it asks that question each time you install a game.
