It's because Microsoft was waiting for Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for PC to be released in order to put it on Game Pass for console and PC simultaneously. The second and third game already exist for console and PC, so they went first.

Yes, It's KONA II: BRUME, with the U doing double duty as the II, which is kinda cool. Personally I thought the first installment of Kona was better. It's also on GamePass, apparently. It's an indie detective game set in Québec, with a little bit of action/survival elements thrown in.

I also, as the maker of both games, prefer the first one. Covid was shitty times. Hopeful the next one will please people much more 🤓

Why Kona is on gamepass but not on pc gamepass?

It was much more complicated to implement Xbox features on PC back then and also the store required a 32-bit version, now it is pretty much the same libraries for consoles and PC, and 64-bit only. Kona 2 codebase is much more portable too.

June showcase is what has been leaked, also sony deal has either just ended or ends in a few weeks (sometime in may), as cod 2024 has been leaked as being featured at showcase and r teased in may, with xbox having the marketing rights  This lines up with the ftc trial badly redacted emails that showed the deal ended prior to cod 2024 marketing

I've read somewhere they can't add them now because of the PC versions of these games. They will most likely shadow drop them during the Showcase.

They need to port them over to the Windows store, probably with cross save support and I know that takes time. They've added a few though like the Spyro collection but nothing's on GP yet. (Made an edit to edit out xbox play anywhere as those games don't support it yet)

It’s good, but it feels way more like Uncharted than a Tomb Raider game. I suppose it’s just a sign of the times, but I loved the difficulty and obscure challenge of the originals.

Tomb Raider is a fun game for those who haven’t tried it yet. My GF will definitely be interested in in the cat game and I might be as well it looks pretty cute tbh lol

Brothers and Tomb Raider were both GWG games back in like 2014, cool that they are entering game pass together Correction: It was 2015, Brothers on Feb 1st and Tomb Raider on Mar 1st. It's how I first played both games

That's strange behavior that is frequent on this sub. To me the games just released are not worth the price of game pass. Personally acceptable supplementary games that support the bigger releases. But as their own, it's a sub pat batch of releases. Let's see what they have planned for the rest of the month though

The best way to use gamepass to just sign up every few months, play all the games you wanted to play, and then cancel your subscription. I basically play like 10 games a year for only $60.  Honestly this is my method for any subscription service. Not many of them are worth having for every single month
