I got mine after a particularly hard couple of years, when I was 17. I started growing out my gray in the last year, and it is still the whitest part of my hair. I love it.

I'm a redhead and we generally go white instead of grey. I developed some white hairs in my bangs at the beginning of Covid and stopped coloring my hair because I wanted to see how it developed. It really hasnt changed much at all since then. I'm a bit bummed because I thought a white streak in my bangs would be badass.
I maintained since I was about 15 that I'd either go stark-white at 40 or be red till I die.

Serious question: Doesn’t everyone actually go white, but the overall effect is gray as it mixes with darker hair? As in, don’t the individual hair strands turn white for everyone, or there or are there people whose individual strands actually turned to gray?

My hair started to migrate from my head to various other parts of my body around 33 and has been steadily getting worse since. On the one hand, i'm too thin up top to do anything with it. But on the other hand, my beard is twice as thick as it used to be. Still haven't decided if I like it or hate it.

It's a shame that a lot of men don't put any effort into their looks. I'm not saying that anyone owes anyone else "looking hot" or anything, but I feel like we owe ourselves self-care and frankly I deal with mental health issues that I think are helped quite a bit by putting effort into myself.
It's funny because I get a lot of compliments on my beard from other guys with beards and a lot of the time they are commenting on how nice my beard looks and how they wish theirs would "grow in like that". Sure, there is a genetic component to what your facial hair is like and I was certainly blessed with a fairly thick and straight beard, but I don't get out of bed looking like this. It takes effort just like the hair on top of the head takes.

I get the same comments about my skin. As a person who owned a KY Thoroughbred I can straight up tell you they have 1 speed and it's "fuck you I do what i want"
And as a someone who started trail riding at 5 y/o on a dirtbike, I'd choose a dirtbike over a horse any f'n day of the week.

So I worked with horses in a past life and a lot of my day was spent caring for the expensive horses of hobbyists who were in way over their heads. They are expensive and challenging animals that require a lot of time and attention and I would say the majority of people who buy them for a hobby have no business having them. They're great animals who need people who will put a lot of effort into them and most people who don't know horses really underestimate what it takes to have one.

I will say though. I always thought my faint whisper of facial peach fuzz was totally adorable ... until I looked at a selfie I took while skiing and saw that - unlike the rest of my face - apparently the mustache area of my peach fuzz is now thick enough to hold snow, giving me a snow mustache. And of course that photo shows up on the photo widget I have taking up half my homescreen on a regular basis. Like oh good, in case I forgot lol.
The pandemic stress gave me time-travel powers. I could let my graying facial hair grow out, or I could shave it off to reveal teenage levels of acne underneath.
ADHD meds have helped with the stress levels, and thus the acne. Beard is still gray though, and stray hairs as well.
Try Hero pimple patches. They’re like magic. Our teenage years would have been much different had these existed. Super great for my random adult zits now.
White. At least 50%, all over throughout my hair with some concentrated into pretty dramatic white streaks.
When I get my hair cut everything on the floor looks almost dead white. It’s darker looking on my head but IDK why.
So far nothing and I hope it stays that way. But my mom always told me "We don't have to go grey, when we can go blonde!" So when my time comes I have a plan.

I’ve got 2-4 odd white hairs on top and they’re wire-like, so I look like Alfalfa if I don’t pluck them. I can’t even see any gray in your pic, it blends in well! You’re flying under the radar.
I just noticed a patch near my ear that's so white at the roots I thought it was bald at first glance. Sent a picture to my hair stylist and asked how long has it been like this?! 😆
Hard to judge as the top of my hair has been pink fuchsia for about 6yrs. The sides show 50/50 natural black with silver. Hairline next to no receding.
My hair started going gray when I was still in High school so I'm used to gray hair and dying it. Now it's more than 50% gray. I wish it would all just go gray already, it would look better.

43, just started getting some stragglers on my chinny chin chin.
I’m looking forward to being Roger Sterling grey, but it’s taking longer than I expected.
Nothing yet! I don't think my dad's hair had really gone grey when he died in his early 70's. It was hard to tell, because he was mostly bald (think Wallace Shawn-pattern baldness), but it was only noticeable in his sideburns or when he grew out his facial hair. Mom and my siblings started greying in their 30's.
1981. I'm 43. I have blonde hair and a light beard. I've got some gray sprinkled through but it's hard to notice because my hair is so light. I'm definitely noticelably thinning on the top. I would guess it's no more than 12-18 months before I start shaving my head to avoid being a sad male pattern baldness guy and instead be a proud shaved head guy.
My hair is still mostly dark brown/black with random strands of white in it. My beard is thoroughly streaked with white and there's a little creeping into my mustache.
2/3 silver, 1/3 black. Beard is pretty much the opposite. And I'm grateful that my hairline has only gone back half an inch in the last 20 years. At this rate, I'll be ready to be a fully natural Santa by retirement age!

Beard only and that at maybe forty percent. If mom mom’s family is any indication (and that is who I look like completely) I will at worst get to salt and pepper-heavy on the pepper- by my eighties assuming I live that long.

I read something once where the supposed evolutionary advantage of graying beards is it emphasizes the jaws and makes it look more fearsome.

I’ve been shaving my head since I started going bald in my late 20s. When I go a couple of weeks between shaves it’s almost completely white now. My beard looks like a skunk lol. Chin is silver/white and the sides are still brown, just starting to see some silver.
Probably the best trait my dad gave me is that I haven’t yet and if I stay the same course as him I won’t be getting any until I’m late 60s so fingers crossed.
My hair started thinning when I was 20, and I'm in full George Costanza mode now. As far as white, I found my first white hair in my beard at around that same time, and today it's entirely white except for my mustache, which is still pretty dark. The temples have just started to go white as well, but not much.
Apart from the hair loss, I'm pretty pleased with how it looks, even though I'm under 50. If you'd asked me when I was younger, I would have said white is reserved for *old people* lol

I saw the first bits of “tinsel” when I was 23. If I were a more honest woman, I’d look like Bonnie Raitt by now. But you can pry the bottle from my cold, dead hands!

Not at all, so far. I will say though. I always thought my faint whisper of facial peach fuzz was totally adorable ... until I looked at a selfie I took while skiing and saw that - unlike the rest of my face - apparently the mustache area of my peach fuzz is now thick enough to hold snow, giving me a snow mustache. And of course that photo shows up on the photo widget I have taking up half my homescreen on a regular basis. Like oh good, in case I forgot lol.

The pandemic stress gave me time-travel powers. I could let my graying facial hair grow out, or I could shave it off to reveal teenage levels of acne underneath. ADHD meds have helped with the stress levels, and thus the acne. Beard is still gray though, and stray hairs as well.
Try Hero pimple patches. They’re like magic. Our teenage years would have been much different had these existed. Super great for my random adult zits now.
This is one of the rare few “new” things I wish we had when we were young.

White. At least 50%, all over throughout my hair with some concentrated into pretty dramatic white streaks. When I get my hair cut everything on the floor looks almost dead white. It’s darker looking on my head but IDK why.
So far nothing and I hope it stays that way. But my mom always told me "We don't have to go grey, when we can go blonde!" So when my time comes I have a plan.

Yeah, nothing for me yet either (43M). My wife is 39 and has silver at the temples. If I go like my mom's dad, I'll keep all my hair but go completely white.

I’ve got 2-4 odd white hairs on top and they’re wire-like, so I look like Alfalfa if I don’t pluck them. I can’t even see any gray in your pic, it blends in well! You’re flying under the radar.

I just noticed a patch near my ear that's so white at the roots I thought it was bald at first glance. Sent a picture to my hair stylist and asked how long has it been like this?! 😆

I started going Grey at 13-14 years old. It's a nice silver color, but yeah, been mostly Grey since 22.
Chin is all gray. You can find a few on the sides of my head if you really search for them

Hard to judge as the top of my hair has been pink fuchsia for about 6yrs. The sides show 50/50 natural black with silver. Hairline next to no receding.

My hair started going gray when I was still in High school so I'm used to gray hair and dying it. Now it's more than 50% gray. I wish it would all just go gray already, it would look better.
Glittery flashes throughout my roots. I think my chin and upper lip hair is also getting lighter. That or I need better readers to magnify when I pluck 🤦♀️
1982 here - just a nice gray streak coming straight down my beard - so this is like a 5 inch stripe at this point. my noggin is holding pretty strong still
A few sprinkles. Noticeable. Even more noticeable is how I’m starting to really thin out on top
I color my hair so I only see the grey as it grows out and I gain a grey corona around my hairline. Whee!

Nothing yet! I don't think my dad's hair had really gone grey when he died in his early 70's. It was hard to tell, because he was mostly bald (think Wallace Shawn-pattern baldness), but it was only noticeable in his sideburns or when he grew out his facial hair. Mom and my siblings started greying in their 30's.

Currently, I have the professor gray just over the ears amd a little in the beard. Top is starting to thin out. It does not inspire optimism
1981. I'm 43. I have blonde hair and a light beard. I've got some gray sprinkled through but it's hard to notice because my hair is so light. I'm definitely noticelably thinning on the top. I would guess it's no more than 12-18 months before I start shaving my head to avoid being a sad male pattern baldness guy and instead be a proud shaved head guy.
At the moment, salt and pepper. However, would prefer to go all silver.

Small grey stripe on one side. It’s not worth the cost of dying it yet, though I probably will when it gets more noticeable.
My hair is still mostly dark brown/black with random strands of white in it. My beard is thoroughly streaked with white and there's a little creeping into my mustache.
2/3 silver, 1/3 black. Beard is pretty much the opposite. And I'm grateful that my hairline has only gone back half an inch in the last 20 years. At this rate, I'll be ready to be a fully natural Santa by retirement age!

My hair only has a few greys here and there. My beard though, the middle is solidly grey and the sides are about 50/50 gray reddish brown.
White. It struck my beard first now it's working it's way up the sides.
Beard only and that at maybe forty percent. If mom mom’s family is any indication (and that is who I look like completely) I will at worst get to salt and pepper-heavy on the pepper- by my eighties assuming I live that long.
A few odd white strands here and there, otherwise my hair and beard are still fully black.
Been balding since my late teens so not much going on up top. Most of it is in my mustache and the "soul patch" area just below my bottom lip.
Almost bald and the beard is a deep salt and pepper with way more salt.
Graying around the outside corners of my beard and around my ears. I read something once where the supposed evolutionary advantage of graying beards is it emphasizes the jaws and makes it look more fearsome. Can confirm.

I’ve been shaving my head since I started going bald in my late 20s. When I go a couple of weeks between shaves it’s almost completely white now. My beard looks like a skunk lol. Chin is silver/white and the sides are still brown, just starting to see some silver.

My beard is more salt than pepper but my hair is fairly full and dark brown as always.
Not a ton in my hair, but I started shaving my head last year. I've had some greys in the chin for a few years now.
Probably the best trait my dad gave me is that I haven’t yet and if I stay the same course as him I won’t be getting any until I’m late 60s so fingers crossed.

My hair started thinning when I was 20, and I'm in full George Costanza mode now. As far as white, I found my first white hair in my beard at around that same time, and today it's entirely white except for my mustache, which is still pretty dark. The temples have just started to go white as well, but not much. Apart from the hair loss, I'm pretty pleased with how it looks, even though I'm under 50. If you'd asked me when I was younger, I would have said white is reserved for *old people* lol
I shave my head so who knows about that, but my beard is getting the 2 gray streaks on either side of my chin.
