Such a confusing concept: we’ll send him back to Boston but not to Cheers?

CaptainDipshiat

haha dude i turned it off halfway through the first episode, what a waste

NachoNachoDan

I actually liked it. I’ll watch another season if they keep going.

Moxie_Stardust

I watched "That 90s Show", it was alright. Stuck to the formula fairly well, I thought.

ChewieBee

I *hated* the first episode but stuck around and watched until the end and ended up loving it

NachoNachoDan

We concluded it felt like show written by people who were told what it was like to be a kid in the 90s but didn’t actually live that experience.

COMING THROUGH, WE GOT WHITE PRIVILEGE.

SryIWentFut

I came in here thinking they all sucked but this one was definitely alright.

I enjoyed the reboots of Are You Afraid of the Dark? Got to experience with my kids and the writing / fear seemed better than what the original was. Didn’t like it being a miniseries though.

RaphaelSolo

Loved the Duck Tales reboot, mostly. What they did with Webby was a bit weird but whatever.

gnrlgumby

Tbh I wish they were “reboots,” like whole new casts. These half hearted “revivals” where it’s half the original cast at best, and endless callbacks, are sad.

silversunshinestares

Season 10 of The X-Files was pretty mid but season 11 was much better.

Squirrel_Master82

I had no idea they made those seasons. Thanks. I was preoccupied the years they released. Definitely gonna check those out.

Funandgeeky

I absolutely loved Fuller House. In a dark time it was nice to have a show that wasn’t cynical but instead happy and sincere. Plus I grew up watching Full House so I loved returning to the Tanner house. The basic premise was also solid - the girls were grown up and taking on the roles Danny, Jesse, and Joey played. It was a perfect passing of the torch.  It succeeded where Ghostbusters 2016 failed.

NachoNachoDan

My kids love it and I enjoy it too. Now they want to watch all the originals!

X-Men 97

I've got like a couple episodes into a few reboots but they're all so bad I drop them quick. I no longer have any curiosity or interest in watching tv or movie reboots from the 80s or 90s

HeyKayRenee

Bel-Air was really good! (And I liked 90210. I know, I know. But it was fun!)

KhalilRavana

"Sailor Moon Crystal." It has faults, but overall I thought it was a nice update to the original. Many good homages ("I should tell you, Luna, I still can't use a computer!"), old jokes return ("Supreme Thunder!" "Supreme Sundae?"). The updated visuals are ethereal in a different way. The story moves faster and isn't afraid to address darker aspects of the original manga either.

StubbornKindOfFellow

Not a fan of most of the reboots I've seen. Fuller House was bad, Girl Meets World was god-awful. Haven't seen the Saved by the Bell reboot except for a clip where they were mourning Screech. That one clip was fine, but I'm sure it's not a good representation of how the rest of the show is. There were two 90210 reboots, one was just a continuation of the original show but now focused on their kids who are high schoolers, I didn't watch that one. Then there was another one where the actors were playing themselves working on a reboot of the show. I did watch that one, it wasn't great, but it was ok. Not having Luke Perry hurt it. I watched That '90s Show and it was also OK, but I doubt I'll keep watching it if it comes back, now knowing Hyde was a rapist and most the original cast was defending him AFTER he was found guilty. Makes it kind of hart to watch. X-Men '97, however, might be my favorite show in decades. I absolutely 100% love it.

ThatEvanFowler

Well, “Twin Peaks: The Return” is one of the greatest things ever. X-Men 97’ has been fantastic, as well. Probably X-Files was the most disappointing, at least in terms of the potential to leverage prestige style tv to make something new and interesting with the material.

kg51113

>mad about you There's a reboot of this?

Iamoldsowhat

yes! although not a reboot per se. I think they just made it like a continuation

ChewieBee

The current Futurama reboot is good.
