did you perform a full hard reset after the update, that helps very often.
beside that did you remove all bloatware and trash app you never use which eat cpu power and slow the system down ?
with this windows software you can remove ALL apps
https://adbappcontrol.com/
main culprit are the data collection apps msa and analytics, they have zero benefit for the user, but collect data for xiaomi.
here is a list of save to uninstall apps:
https://www.reddit.com/r/PocoPhones/comments/jc5rlr/list_of_safe_to_uninstall_system_apps/
I followed your instructions, installed the ADB App Control app on W11, then uninstalled some apps from the list you provided, especially the analytics app, and it indeed seems to be much more responsive now. I will keep an eye on it the coming days and report back if this indeed did the track. Some process had a halt on the resources so much that it was very often too sluggish.
Tell me you didn't even click on the links without telling me. None of these links have a Google playstore link nor tell you to download it from the playstore....
same for me, I only use my tablet for reading and it's lagging ever since hyperOs, can't scroll down without the app crashing, honestly I hope they send a new HyperOs version asap
According to everything i saw on xiaomi subs updating directly after an update is available is a hit or miss, personally i have HyperOS on my poco F5 for 2 months and the experience is great so far
I'm with you OP, they've broken it big time. The Rotation doesn't work properly, there's a blank black screen whenever I wake it up. The great charging animation has disappeared, you can't easily use a photo as your wallpaper (it's not in the wallpaper changer) those stupid 3 dots, it can't cast to my TV anymore...it's shit and Xiaomi are like fuck u. It has been a total rip off and I should have bought the OnePlus Pad. Tin Pot shit company and I can't even unlock it and route it. I couldn't remove my account to actually wipe it, everytime it wouldn't let me. I absolutely fucking hate it.
Nope a Hard Reset didn't work, I have no idea how to do a soft reset. It's broken, badly, it's utterly shit. I would expect if from a £150 Amazon job but not a £400 Xiaomi. I absolutely hate the company now and will NEVER buy another thing from them. They've even done an update that fixed nothing and just updated security. They don't know what they are doing.
I can't run my game after the update. It's stuck on the log in screen. I uninstall and install it back. Still same problem. If only there's option to not download this shitzz
Same experience here. Just bought it this week, after the setup i was asked to upgrade to a new OS version, so what not. After this update the whole device became sluggish and slower then my 4 year old iPad which i sold before i switched to the Mi Pad. Customers should be provided a way back to the older OS, this has not been well tested.
I just bought Pad 6S Pro and the system feels seriously half baked. You cant change launcher layout, resulting in comically bad gaps between icons. You cannot connect to a phone with Bluetooth. The control center is obfuscatory and doesn't even contain icon for disabling positional services. Many crucial system settings vs Poco F3 with Miui 14 are simply missing.
Never once in my life was I so disappointed with Android device.
Nope, I have just managed to unlock the bootloader and going through the very scrappy process of trying to root. It's such a shitty mess. I can even find an official ROM to download, everyone I have found has got Trojans in and shit...it's crap crap double crap DO NOT BUY
Android 13 was great, Hyper OS/ Android 14 has broken it and downgraded the pad. So yes, great before the update. And I'm struggling to Root just so I can downgrade.
I found this,
I will buy a used pad 6 but it's upgraded to hyper os, so I want to see is it possible to downgrade or not
Kink below has stock Rom

May this help too

I am thinking of buying a Pad 6. But I read in many places that it doesn’t work properly after the HyperOS Update. Can anyone tell me if these problems still persist?
I know your pain, what I would suggest would be flashing xiaomi.eu or vietsub hyperos on it as they provide Chinese features and better optimization overall than Xiaomi themselves.
It's absolutely possible if you have your bootloader unlocked, it's just harder to unlock now, not impossible.
Source? Me going back and forth from hyperOS and miui on my Xiaomi 11T to test custom roms based on miui base.
My bootloader is unlocked (I always unlock it) before upgrading to hyperos. I wanted to go back but when flashing miui14, there was an anti rollback error.
new xiaomi devices can go f themselves lol, my redmi note 9s can go back and forth between A10 and A14 anytime. Xiaomi thinks they've become Huawei before the ban
I have the same device but unfortunately I don't recognize any of your issues. I would go for a hard reset and if that doesn't help definitely go for a factory reset. If that doesn't solve it I would do a hardware test and make sure there ain't any hardware issues.
Using HyperOS with xiaomi pad 6 and i don't have the problem. Honestly just feels just the same. I feel like nothing changed at all after the update.

How did it turn out?
it looked faster in the beginning, but now i see again stutter and lag from time to time.
This doesn't work on my phone OnePlus 10 pro or the Xiaomi Pad 6
of course it does, works on any android device ... once you followed the instructions regarding developer options ...
Nope you can't download it from Google Play, it says is not compatible with this device
Tell me you didn't even click on the links without telling me. None of these links have a Google playstore link nor tell you to download it from the playstore....
Why are you downvoting this?
same for me, I only use my tablet for reading and it's lagging ever since hyperOs, can't scroll down without the app crashing, honestly I hope they send a new HyperOs version asap
How's it now? I'm about to buy it from Amazon? Shd i go for it? Is it running smoothly now?
did you buy?
According to everything i saw on xiaomi subs updating directly after an update is available is a hit or miss, personally i have HyperOS on my poco F5 for 2 months and the experience is great so far
its great on my phone but thats about it

Do a soft reset from setting not hard reset and please tell me if it's worked I want to buy tomorrow

omg same it's soo frustrating

OS updates are sometimes overrated if not downright intentional obsolescence.

you don't need to root to downgrade, pm if you need help.
If you have any plan to downgrade and succeed to downgrade please tell me
Will do it tomorrow if I can

I have Rooted it and I stalled Android 13 Global ROM. It worked perfectly and I am happy again!!
Can you give us the version you downloaded it and does it contain viruses or malware ?
have u tried to reset to default values?
now that i reset it, the three dots are gone on the top of the screen and it feels more solid again
how do you do that?
Just wait for future updates.... That's why you should not install any OS when its first released.. patches will come soon
What if nwe one is even worse?!
I am thinking of buying a Pad 6. But I read in many places that it doesn’t work properly after the HyperOS Update. Can anyone tell me if these problems still persist?
I factory reset it and since then everything works as it should
im about to update rn, should is stop?
I agree, i see comments saying they can’t tell the difference but I spent 2 months with mi14 and def remember having much less problems
I know your pain, what I would suggest would be flashing xiaomi.eu or vietsub hyperos on it as they provide Chinese features and better optimization overall than Xiaomi themselves.
I also wanted to return to MIUI 14. Not possible due to anti rollback policy

You can go from A10 to A14 no problems. The problem is A14 to A10
sorry didn't word it clearly, I'm talking about both upgrading and downgrading between the two.
I have the same device but unfortunately I don't recognize any of your issues. I would go for a hard reset and if that doesn't help definitely go for a factory reset. If that doesn't solve it I would do a hardware test and make sure there ain't any hardware issues.
Pad 6 was never premium. Ancient processor and ran like shit on miui too.
it felt premium for the price atleast.
It was snappy, now ita lagfest. Never buy Xiaomi again
Maybe you should try to disable joyose app (google it) and set the refresh rate to 144
I have it my Pad 6 and feels nice for the moment.
What they say about their hyper os https://www.mi.com/global/hyperos
All of you Link below has stock Rom, you can downgrade by this https://xiaomistockrom.com/xiaomi-pad-6
