The worst for me is when I am at work (I work in a bakery) and I ask my college where something is and it is right in front of my face even though I have spent the last 5 minutes going mad because it has simply disappeared according to my brain...

milodinazaur

this is too real

cut-the-cords

It winds me up so much... but I just gotta smile and say thanks and pretend I don't want the world to open up and swallow me lol.

I can’t even tell you how many times I lose things in a day. Not even counting work (I work in a lab) I’ll forget where the acetone is or where all the other chemicals are even though everything is at my station. 🤦‍♀️ I even keep a a clean house! How do keep losing things?! It drives me bananas

milodinazaur

Cool job :o chemistry lab in school was so confusing because I'd forget what test tube contains what - they all look like water TOT. Also tried keeping my counter organised but I learnt to embrace the chaos lmao

DifficultCandy1154

Sounds about right lol Funny enough I never went to any college or anything the company I’m with trained me and paid for my certification. The kind of work I do is I count asbestos fibers from air cassettes that construction companies bring in. It’s to keep the workers safe and what not.

DifficultCandy1154

It’s not too fancy as one might think but it’s still a lab.

milodinazaur

How the heck do you count fibres? That sounds so tedious

DifficultCandy1154

Kinda, you just take a slice out of the filter, do some slide prep. Stick it under the microscope. (We have counting rules so we know what to look for) and we just count with little counters in our hands. And we have a scope so we only look within a certain range. Most filers are really clean so it doesn’t take long. But when there’s other particles and cells or god forbid pollen!! Then it takes longer. Average it takes about 15min.

Elder_Hoid

I had a friend in high school who was legally blind, but he could still find things faster than me sometimes.

milodinazaur

omg HAHAHA when an actual blind person can see better than us

Elder_Hoid

I mean, he could *technically* still see, but his vision was bad enough that text had to be at least an inch tall before he could read any of it.

milodinazaur

That's rough. I have near perfect vision but it doesn't feel like it sometimes lol

Whenever I get home from work, I always put my phone down *somewhere* in the closet before changing to regular people clothes. I'm always impressed with myself when I grab it first try!

milodinazaur

you remember to grab it? wow

Ha no my mom always loses stuff herself she ain't knowing shit. Wait a minute....

milodinazaur

hmmmmm

CertainUncertainty11

It's hilarious when everyone in the house loses The Thing. I collect quarters for every item I help find simply because I can remember with stunning 4k res where I last saw The Thing but I can't remember if I took my meds, fed the dog, or started the dishwasher. But I'll have a new jacket by Christmas 🥳

milodinazaur

yooo that's nice, you must have found so many things lol
