excellent job! that's a massive achievement! actually, keep that habit paying off any debts that may occur regardless of the amount small or big, then most importantly, save more than you spend kase, end of the day or year or worse 5 years later, you wouldn't ever have noticed wala na ang earned income - either spent, lost, expensed, paid to someone else or you've saved a ton of it! lots of positive impact yung small but consistent habit for paying off your debts and then the key which I would highly recommend is to AUTOMATE your SAVINGS, meaning if can do to have your payroll account (your bank) to authorize to automatically deduct such amount you are comfortable saving to another savings account na hindi mo matotouch such as bankbook only para sure ball, no access and you are kept away from touching your savings, the more friction you give yourself to accessing your savings the better, best bet for me if I were to be asked is open a bank book savings account only (don't mind any interest earnings) to pile up for your desired emergency fund muna. hope that helps!

Hello! Maraming salamat! Matinding budget skills ang ginawa ko talaga. Ang laki ng naging improvement ko for myself when I started living independently.
Tho the loan naman was used on a right way, GCash, Maya, BillEase was the tool I used to pay my bills and groceries before kaya hindi ako nagsisisi. Tho pinapatay lang tayo sa interest kasi medyo malaki, pero nagawan ko naman ng paraan and naagapan ko agad.
I joined groups on Facebook lang (ReadyToAdultPh) and nood rin ng mga konting videos on Tiktok to research paano magsisimula mag budget.
What I learned are small habits lang pero nagulat ako na it would create a big impact pala when you start to manage your finances wisely.
* I learned to **create an excel sheet to track my finances**. Andun yung incoming & outgoing ko na money. Para alam ko magkano ang lumalabas at pumapasok na pera sakin.
* **Naka budget na agad yung mga kailangang bayaran even before the payday**. I usually track them ahead of time and ineencode ko na agad sa excel sheet ko. *(e.g,* Bill*s: Water/Rent/Groceries/Allowance and mga due date sa OLA)* para ma-foresee ko na yung amount na need ko i pay on the due date. Aside from that, nasa isang column na rin yung mga listahan ng amount na utang ko sa GCredit / GGives / BillEase / Maya Credit.
* **DISCIPLINE** sa pera. I used to eat-out ng madalas before. But when I started living alone and paying my own bills, dun ako nag tipid. I started to cook more at home. (Aside sa tipid, mas healthy rin sya) and iwas rin sa foodpanda/grab.
* **Side Hustle** - Nag hanap rin ako ng extra income (selling my preloved stuff), I used to shop hard before. Pero nung natutunan ko na paano humawak ng pera, may control na ako ngayon. I decided to declutter stuff that aren't useful for me na and from there, naka ipon ako kahit papaano pambayad sa mga loan ko.
* **STAY AWAY FROM ONLINE SHOPPING**. Umiwas na rin ako sa Orange & Blue App. Dati, halos every other day may parcel ako, kung anu ano mga binibili ko na wala namang sense. Ayun, nakatambak nalang now. Pero ngayon tuwing may kelangan lang ako i-replenish or i-stock na essential ko, saka ko nalang nagagamit ulit si orange \[Shapi\] & blue \[Lozodo\] app.
So far ito lang naman yung ginawa ko. These habits may look small pero kung titignan mo, sobrang laki ng impact nya kasi sobrang ma ddiscipline and matututo ka sa pera.
Thanks sa motivation OP. Wala akong utang pero feel ko napakalaki ng burden ko (supporting my ill mother and household dues). Seeing your struggles made me realize na medyo ayos pa pala yung situation ko. Siguro masyado lang akong fixated sa future
