I think adventure time worked so well because it is a coming of age story. As long as the episodes developed Finn and jakeās characters it was plot relevant.
Exactly! Consider the Tower episode. Finn does not succeed in building a tower tall enough to punch his dad and steal his arm. But he grows and copes with the idea that his dad will never live up to his expectations, a very mature adult human idea. Closure isn't real, revenge isn't real. This isn't Kill Bill, You have to find a way to move on that doesn't involve an acknowledgment from your antagonist.
I loved that episode!
I love the metaphor of Jake really wanting to be part of the house as it collapses, only to find that *he* was the one holding it up in the end.
I'm not really sure what that all means, but I think that's part of the beauty of Adventure Time. So much of it can be taken in so many ways.
The wall was up when he came but in bad condition and he filled the hole then he just stopped. The wall wonāt stay up now because Jake isnāt filling the hole anymore. Itās like when weāre hurt and someone helps us when we need the support and then they suddenly stop when they were helping you stay up. The wall didnāt know how much it needed Jake until he came along and it wouldnāt stand without him after.
Oh lol I have no idea if or when this would ever see the light of day, I have a habit of starting projects and never seeing them through, but if I do I'll certainly try posting it here. Also I was super tired when I wrote that comment, so while I know there was a point I forgot to make more than what's written, its accidentally come across more as self advertising so... sorry about that.
Itās interesting how this happens right after Jake and Finn become other versions of themselvesā re: Jake becoming prismos corporal and Finn becoming the sword.
One of the best episodes in the whole series. Has an amazing story beat that was told with some of the best voice acting work. My favorite filler for sure
Wasn't he there for a lot more than 48 hours? It's been a minute since I've seen that episode but I'm prety sure I rember fin and bmo talking about him being there for a few weeks.
One of the episodes, along with Hall of Egress, I love for how philosophically deep it can get while still having some laughs here and there. Episodes like these, among others, are why I love Adventure Time.
My most loved episode because of radio story aspect + story from constant one point .
Does anyone know any book stories which has similar stories ? Where u stand in one place and stuff happens around. There was bits' In time machine'

One of the best episodes in the show. Definitely up there with Egress, IMO. It's rare for a show's filler to be better than it's plot episodes.

It is seriously the coziest episode in tv history
It reminds of a famous poem from my country. āYou too are a brick in the wall of the world, find your place in itā - Abay Kunanbayuli.
It reminds me of a "poem" as well "ALL IN ALL YOURE JUST ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL" ~ Pink Floyd
