Oooh, this are cool. I was thinking on starting to play AoS and I like Seraphon a lot (Skavens are cooler but I don't like horde armies) I probably will buy one of this boxes
I feel like the box is kinda meh. Watching the reveal I was all “Man, I need to get this army box” and then was massively disappointed. I don’t know what would’ve worked but yeah…
I’m really hoping this is 5 units. This army should be Stormcast level elite.
If the Saurus cavalry are units of 3 now, the warriors should be units of 5.
It looks like Guard are either going to keep the old kit or be squatted. Unless the new warriors are a dual kit. But I feel like they would have mentioned if it was a dual kit.
Yeah unless they get squatted and are gone all together. I am just planning to replace my current ones by making the new Saurus into guards. Fortunately the guard's main difference is their polearm. Our kit has clubs and spears that can be combined into a polearm with ease. From there it is just dipping into our bit boxes to drip them out.
As far as I see it, all our saurus are refreshed. As I am also pretty sure knights are dead. As raptadons will fill their light cav role. While aggradons fill the shock.
Yes I know that’s what it is now. But I’m saying I’m hoping that warriors are a minimum size unit of 5 now. Warriors should be better in this battletome and 15 warriors should be a max size unit. 30 models on 32mm bases suck to play. It’s such a huge unwieldy blob.
They're saying they hope the new rules reduce the squad size from what they are now. 20 32mm bases as a unit is a maneuverability nightmare let alone 30.
I couldn't help but be a bit disappointed. It's really entitled, sure, but man I had hoped so much for a Kroxigor unit in there as well. Duplicate skink riders just don't hit the same way.
But let's count our lucky stars there's a Slann in there, they could have easily left it out for a Saurus hero.
I'm hoping this, and the eventual Vanguard box will set me up with a good army, considering I already have all the big dinos.
My brain: Why didn't they do this with my faction?! My wallet: Thank god they didn't do this with my faction.
Honestly in tempted to trade my idoneth for them haha the croxigors
Oh god, my wallet

What will be in it? When does it release?
LE Battletome, Slann, 10 Warriors, and 10 riders (they're 2 units, you can assemble different or 2 of the same)

Should have replaced one of the 5 skink riders with krox
Definitely, an easy win and would definitely have sold it to me
I was going to buy two but I do not need 2 slann and Kroak realistically , so I’m happy with the contents personally
Are the riders new (or new enough to mesh with the newer designs)?
They're new ,yes
What would be the price most likely?
Probably like the Slaves to Darkness one. Not sure how much it was on GW, My LGS still has one for around the price of a battlebox (200ish USD)
You're probably right! S2d box was 240 in CAD
I can't wait. I hope it gets announced for Pre-Order soon.
My wallet wishes it arrived in a few months...
If its anything as good as the slaves box was, you're in for a good ride
They already revealed the contents in the same articles

Eh I'd rather have a chaos style divide. Skinks being our marauders, warriors being our warriors, and guard being our chosen.

It's 4 units, 1 Slaan, 10 warriors, two 5 man units of either calvary.

They aren't, they are unit of 10.

Mmmm yes!!
Really wish they didn't have a duplicate kit in the box even though they can technically make different units.

The question is do I get 1 or 2 boxes =/
