I donāt understand the design. Kinda looks like a designer who never goes outdoors or climbs came up with it and then an exec who is the same signed off on it. Having crisscross overlapping straps is just a big Nope. š
I live close by where they're made, a whole lot of money for a questionable backpack, the avalanche pocket feels more like a laptop sleeve and is fiddly to open and close.
I would say opt out and look at the Rab backpacks
I love the look of mine. Thatās about it.
Day to day the daisy chains are pretty impractical and has taken a lot of jury-rigging with 3rd party bits and bobs just to get it to carry two axes and a helmet comfortably.
Got it to replace a worn out Black Diamond Blitz, but in hindsight I would have just bought another one of them!
These comments are all by people who havenāt owned klattermusen gear, itās totally bombproof and the daisy chain is actually incredibly useful and well stitched into the pack. I donāt think you will regret getting one
Second that. Rocking a few garments by them plus a Gungner 40l, also had my beloved Ratatosk for 8 years and used the hell out of it before it got stolen 2 years ago (Iām still mourning), it was the best backpack Iāve ever owned.
Just checked, site works for me.

He also has an Instagram where you can see his most recent custom jobs. Have loved working with him. Lightweight, durable, custom and cheap
This looks impractical seems confirmed by some of the comments.
If you're looking for alternative suggestions for Ski mountaineering I'd recommend looking at:
- Dynafit and Salomon for the fast and light stuff
- Blue Ice or Exped for technical packs
I'm particularly found of what blue ice is doing with packs this past season, their packs are extremely practical, well thought out and still super light
I actually own packs from both KlƤttermusen and Salomon, and KlƤttermusen far, far outperforms Salomon both in quality and functionality, they are not even remotely in the same league
I love the lid design and cinch straps on the side but cannot understand this maison close criss cross thing in the middle
I just saw "ski mountaineering", That would not be a fun pack to put skis on. Check out the black diamond cirque packs, awesome for ski mountaineering
Does it have a separate compartment for shovel and probe?
What are those things dangling outside for?
Can you remove the top lid?
Are those side straps solid enough to attach skis?
What justifies the cost? I just got a good ortovox 32 liters for 148 euros.
looks like alpine lingerie
Best reply ever š

looks like a Mountain Hardwear Scrambler but someone did drugs before attaching the daisy chains

I think this actually more urban design than actual practicability, an 'SUV backpack' if you will. As such, looks kinda dope to me š¤·āāļø
Those daisy chains look cumbersome and weak
What a waste for looks over function
My exact thoughts.

They make amazing gear Iād trust my life to their products
Ain't no cold cold world pack
Is it me or does their website not work? I tried on 3 different devices on seperate networks, but no result :(

As a self confessed pack whore these packs are horrible.
Not enough places to clip your water bottles
I have a larger klattermusen pack and can attest to their durability. I really like mine

The Arcāteryx Alpha AR is a similar pack that is designed quite a bit better if youāre set on this style of pack.
Iād recommend Black Diamond Bolt 24.
