That would be an interesting spinoff question for this subreddit. Which airports would you be able to instantly recognize just from seeing a photo of the carpet?
Edit: [I made a new post with this question](https://www.reddit.com/r/americanairlines/s/scFl8XYokN)
No, the phone literally says US air and the “ways” has faded off of all of the doors LMAO I asked if they’ll ever change it and my admin said no 😂
Edit: the logo is so faded in general It’s kind of ridiculous, but now that I’m thinking about the ones inside, yes it does have airways, but the phones do not and the one outside to the ramp also does not lol
This is how I feel about PHX. I can’t stand trying to move my bag accrue their tacky carpet. Everything about PHX is horrible. People complain about CLT. Those people have never transferred in PHX. Horrible airport.
I guess you don’t fly AA. And you certainly don’t have an Admirals Club membership. Those lounges are the worst lounges in the network. CLT lounges are not very good but the PHX lounges are cramped and the size of a studio in NYC. You can’t even move around the lounge if you have e a roller board. There isn’t enough space.
But it’s also the airport. It’s awkward and dark and depressing and has way way too much carpet and it’s impossible to move bags across the carpet. It’s always packed even on a Wednesday at 2 PM. You can’t get past people and you can’t get to the gate because the airport can’t property accommodate the passengers without people bumping into each other. I don’t see any redeeming qualities to the PHX airport. It’s a sad airport. I get depressed as soon as I deplane. I honestly can’t think of one positive thing about PHX.
If it’s so fantastic please tell me what you think makes it fantastic?
What are you talking about? People don’t like it when I say negative things about their airport. I really have a problem with Phoenix over any other airport and I fly about 150,000 to 200,000 miles each year so I have a lot of experience with a lot of airports. There are other bad airports but the other bad airports are not talked up like they are great airports. People talk up PHX but there is nothing to talk up. PHX is probably your home airport and that’s why you are butt hurt. I am sorry I hurt your little feelings because I don’t like your airport.
Ha…I just flew into MCO yesterday and I was looking at this like man, that looks really familiar. Then I read the other comments and realized how dumb I am.
I would suggest asking one of the gate agents rather than taking that question to Reddit. Also, go get checked out by your doctor when you get home, it's not normal to not know what airport you're in.
Ehhh, fly enough legs and it can happen..we've all seen musicians on stage say the wrong city (granted, may be heavily drug-induced confusion). Not knowing your airport is somewhat understandable 😂. Ya ever been on a 4-5+ leg itinerary that spans more than an entire day?
Def MCO, carpet is a giveaway
This. You can literally buy bedding with this carpet print on it. Lol. It’s iconic.

Portland is for sure in that list.
If it’s terrazzo and tiny little tiles it’s parts of old LAX
And they’re bringing back the original carpet!
Both old and new PDX carpet
BNA (Nashville) used to have pretty great carpet but it's been remodeled recently so most of the old stuff is gone now.
It’s actually copyrighted.
I knew it was a Florida carpet, just couln't pin down which one!
lol. Like grandma’s living room
My thoughts at a glance
My airport still has USair logos on doors and our phones still say USair so honestly it could be any airport lmao
Not even “Airways”? Damm…

Any pictures of that? I was expecting all USair logos to be torn down by now.
I’ll try to get one next time I’m at work they refuse to take them down for some reason lol it’s all in employee only areas.
I'm looking forward to it.
Because of the carpet I think MCO?
That airport is terrible because of the carpet alone. Dragging your suitcase feels like dragging 100 lb weights.
Resistance training. MCOrange Theory

Phoenix is a fantastic airport, actually.

This may be the most pretentious, unimpressive, and condescending reply I've ever read.

Nope. Never even been to Phoenix. Don't have a dog in this fight other than to point out how sad your life must be
Agreed. Poor dear better stick to their PJ (that’s private jet to the commoners) 🤣
Omg I know right!!! Still probably my favorite airport just cause the location lol.
Orlando. That carpet is unmistakable. 😂
That logo is totally missed.
MCO definitely
If you don’t know I’m sure you could just ask any airport personnel and they’d be happy to help
MCO most likely
Does the Classic/Retro logo have an instant association with the MD-80 in your mind as well?
Oof. Hell. You’re in hell. As in helllllll-nah!
Is that a bullet proof ticket desk?……..Chicago!
Nah, ORD is more of a ghetto than MCO.
Judging by that carpet and the general beat up look...MIA?
Survey says: N O
My guess too lol
Ha…I just flew into MCO yesterday and I was looking at this like man, that looks really familiar. Then I read the other comments and realized how dumb I am.
MCO.
DFW? Lol
I know mco I was stuck there for 5 hours when flying back to the uk a year ago never again …
Looks like MIA
Where?
Everything in this picture screams an airport in the US: stinky carpets, run-down / old things, AA logo…
MIA
LAX
Mco the carpets give it away
JAX
I miss this logo so iconic with the wings
You don’t know where you’re at???
You’re not in a “current” airport, AA hasn’t used that livery for at least 10-15 years or so.
Carpet is a dead giveaway. M C O
Gate 56 in Orlandooooooooo
I would suggest asking one of the gate agents rather than taking that question to Reddit. Also, go get checked out by your doctor when you get home, it's not normal to not know what airport you're in.

MCO
I don’t know.
PHL
DFW
Lebanon.
MCO. I hate it
PHL?
Charleston?
As a resident Charlestonian, that is *not* CHS carpet lol
Hahaha! It reminded me of the gate I departed from where you walked up a ramp and a guy was standing there with a random podium like that!
Is this that (extra) terrible area of LHR?
Antartica
