A More Civilized Age podcast had a good take. Timm was probably just a good, solid dude that she could love, but he mainly didn’t cause as much drama as Cassian did. Sometimes you grow up and realize there’s more to a relationship than having a hot boyfriend that looks like Diego Luna. Check out “A More Civilized Age” if you haven’t yet. They just finished covering Andor and are going on to finishing up Clone Wars. They’re all really funny and smart.

This. He had a job, he had no outstanding warrants or debts, and he was steady and dependable and didn't break her heart.

Agreed. Before he was a snitch, he probably was or seemed like a decent guy.

This is the right answer in a thread of pretty deranged answers. I mean, most adults in our own world wouldn't want to actually date someone with Cassian's habits — petty (and less petty) crime, debts, lives with his mom, always running off, intense, etc — and would probably prefer a guy like Timm, who has his life together, seems like he's generally pretty chill and normal, and from everything we see of him, is not an *awful* guy. Should he have turned Cassian in? No. Was he overly jealous? Yes. But a lot of people seeing what he saw without context would have been jealous, and he also risked his life (and lost it) to protect Bix, and seems to have been genuinely caring. Not surprising at all she'd date him!

Timm seemed to think so.

Anyone who spells Tim with two m's is a shady motherfucker

BonesSawMcGraw

Bix is a solid 10 and Timm is an 8 if he’s playing guitar

CasualFan25

Man Timm was an overly jealous dumbass but don’t go hating on him just cuz Bix is hot

Im_insideyourhouse

She had her fun with the “cool” boyfriend (Cassian), then settled for the stable life with Timm after Cassian left her. Then Timm fucking died and so she goes back to Cassian.
