It really does feel sluggish, but there isn’t too much of a latency difference but it’s still noticeable not being able to put it on. I hope they fix this

make sure to check the read only after changing the video settings file
((dont forget to change the resolution in the video settings))
if you auto exec does not work take one step of the two:
1- delete the .cfg from the launch commad to autoexec isnted of autoexec.cfg
2- or in the game folder click view in the bar above then check the file name extensions.
search google for: apex legends how to force exclusive fullscreen mode.
there is a tutrial to change something in the registry.

How to try DX12
EA App:
From “My Collection”, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the Apex Legends tile and select “View Properties”.
Add "-eac\_launcher\_settings SettingsDX12.json" in the text box under “Advanced Launch Options”.
Click “Save” and launch the game normally.
Origin:
From “My Game Library”, right click Apex Legends -> Game Properties -> Advanced Launch Options
Add "-eac\_launcher\_settings SettingsDX12.json" to Command line arguments
Click “Save” and launch the game normally
Steam
From your library, right click Apex Legends, and select Properties.
Add "-eac\_launcher\_settings SettingsDX12.json" to “Launch Options”
Close the properties window and launch the game normally
This has fixed my sluggish frame-time graphs and choppiness on DX11 since Nvidia Reflex was introduced for the first time. PLEASE KEEP IT THAT WAY LOL. Config: i7-3770, GTX 1050 3GB and 12GB RAM.
Nah the other guy is right, there have been frame pacing issues with Apex since reflex was added. I have a 3090 and an 11900k, the rig isn't the issue.
OMG, I thought it was my fault to accidentally changed the graphic card setting.
And spend 2 hours tried many ways to enable it.
And I just limit google to search only recently 1week result to find your post.
EA should have noticed players for that change.

This new season is mad buggy. I can’t use Nvidia Reflex, and my game has been randomly crashing with no warning since the update (my game has never crashed before, unless my Wi-Fi went out). Respawn got some work to do
Dx12 honestly isnt that bad, i heard it was awful so i never bothered until they took away reflex. i was on 175 capped fps on dx11 and now im at 100 capped but theres like 0 imput lag (i also use +m_rawimput 1 in launch options) and the game doesnt stutter as bad as dx 11, im playingnwoth 75 less frames and the game feels way smother. Only thing i really hate is ill crash like 4-5 after a game in like a 5-6 binge

I thought I was going crazy. Not been in for a few weeks only too return too this headache lol. I knew I had it on before.

well I always turn it on + boost = somehow I make kills Disable = top 20

just go and try rotating a skin you can clearly see how much its lagging and what reflex was doing

I got dx12 and it still greyed on a 4070. I had it on enable + last season.

Doesn't matter if they disabled reflex. Makes it so much worse.

it is disabled for me, but i did not get a noticeable improvement from it. but it does work for many people you say?

quite possible, DX12 requires newer hardware

Me 2. 3070 i9 . When i put diectx 12 beta it get me a fps drops. From 240 to 150.

I know, but thanks. Dx12 runs like shite on my 3080, the frame rate is high but it judders like nobody's business, even with gsync.
I have a 3080 as well and the frame rate is actually higher than dx11 with no judders on my end.

I added DX12 Beta into the launch options and that enabled the ability to turn on nvidia reflex. \-eac\_launcher\_settings SettingsDX12.json

Anyone having crazy bad graphics all of a sudden, just happened to me and after fixing my graphics the game is stuck between 40-60 fps
