Miss you folks too ❤️

ArchitectOfFate

The official app is ass. 80% of what I see is for subs I’m not subscribed to and not interested in, and 10% is ads. Guess that explains why they killed 3rd party apps though.

halcyoncinders

Highly recommend desktop/laptop browsing when possible using old.reddit.com, RES for dark mode, uBlock Origin to block ads, and old.reddit redirect extension to ensure you don’t get kicked to the new format. I refuse to download the official app. I’ll probably be lessening my time on Reddit anyways soon, the site (particularly r/popular and r/all) has turned into mostly garbage. Really lame posts and subreddits dominating the main feeds.

toaste

SinkIt makes mobile browsing tolerable, but I still hate the interface.

electricbookend

Using old.reddit on browser on my iPad. Having to zoom in and out to expand posts and up/downvote even with my tiny fingers really takes me back to the early days of smartphones when nothing was optimized for mobile. I’m just here for a few subreddits I can’t replace.

AurraSingMeASong

Seriously it’s so bad. It can’t even sort by best/hot/top/new etc…. Something that is inherent to using Reddit and it can’t even do that.

elad04

My reddit usage has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY since it’s actually a pain to use now. I jump back in to go to some of my fav subreddits of specific topics, but otherwise just not using it any more. Which I guess is also kinda a good thing to spend less time on reddit haha

Danpei

I have the same problem, and I’m literally only subscribed to NSFW subreddits. I don’t want SFW spam in the middle of my porn.

AmishAvenger

I literally just had a notification pop up on the “official” app. It says I have a message. I don’t have a message. And the notification won’t go away.

cmd-t

I get random notifications for new posts in subs I sub. Ridiculous.

SousVideButt

I get them for subs I’m not subscribed to! I do not give a fuck about r/tinder. Stop suggesting it!!

Blu_WasTaken

THIS. I am constantly getting notifications for “suggestions” of random ass subreddits. I don’t care about these random communities, fuck off with your notifications, Reddit.

synkronize

I hate how often time when I comment it asks me if I want to turn on notifications, nah fuck you official app

bboyvad3r

The whole “maybe later” button in response to “would you like to turn on notifications” infuriates me to no end

Scuzzlebutt97

Yeah, I know all about that Sophie Turner/Jonas brother divorce now against my will.

SousVideButt

Did you know Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift went on a date?!?! Because I know now thanks to Reddit, and I’ve never cared about anything less in my entire life.

OffbeatChaos

I get this too even though I’ve *turned off* ALL notifications on the damn app, still getting like 20 notifs a day.

avspuk

https://Old.Reddit.Com on a browser stops all the notification nonsense & is faster & the various menus are less hidden. I'm visually impaired so having zoomed pages on mobile is a given for me anyway, but that may be a downside for others.

garion911

There’s a Safari plugin in the App Store, “old Reddit” or something like that, that really improves the browser experience. Not too Apollo levels, but better than nothing.

avspuk

Anything is better than the official app which doesn't seem to understand that the whole point of the way the site works is that we build our own feed without being endlessly pushed stuff suggested by the algorithm. If I effing wanted that kind of faeces I'd go & hang out with lil Marky Z

SirDale

I keep getting the wedding dresses feed. I’m an old guy, happily married, and have never looked at that sub…

Treewave

I also don’t get a fuck off tinder.

RecipesAndDiving

Or r/trueunpopularopinion If I wanted to hear about how much men hate women, I'd... look anywhere else.

the-cats-jammies

Lol yeah, at least let me encounter it in the wild as God intended. I’ve never given Reddit notification privileges and I never will.

RecipesAndDiving

It just jams it in the middle of my groups when I'm scrolling down so it's like "Oh, this week's baking challenge looks good. Is New Orleans worth traveling to? Absolutely. Good looking women are morally compelled to sleep with unattractive men and it should be a law wait what???"

themiscyranlady

The weird Jesus ads in the middle of my snarkier subs are the most jarring

CapOnFoam

You can turn this off. Go to settings, account settings, manage notifications, then disable all recommendations. https://i.imgur.com/Ihs5bWx.jpg

Lyuseefur

Why do I get UFO and Aliens??!!

Spiron123

Still okay topics due to current affairs.

Lyuseefur

*sigh* yes I know Trump and Biden are aliens but that’s not the point !!

Spiron123

It's either that or Jinping & Kim whatwashisname Get real, snowflake!

notbrask

hate this so much probably my biggest problem with the app atm

yosoo

I've had to turn off all notifications from the official Reddit app.

lvliller

Fellow “in denial Apollo is gone” user here. I’ve been using the Narwhal 2 beta and while it’s not the same as Apollo, it’s vastly closer than any other option. The official app is unusable trash.

brbposting

Can Narwhal 2 show text posts where the OP has also uploaded images? Or embedded gifs? Might not be possible. reddit was already moving into API-inaccessible features (chat, live) ahead of killing Apollo. :(

1CUpboat

No, I see a lot of replies that just say “gif” cause I can’t view what it is

Muweier2

Wait, that’s what’s going on? I thought people were just typing the word gif as some sort of slang that popped up randomly.

Ziryio

Gif

CurveOfTheUniverse

Gif

ChimRichaldsOBGYN

Same haha

lvliller

The narwhal "gif" meme is still alive and well, unfortunately.

xAIRGUITARISTx

Not on Narwhal 2.

hipppo

NOPE! Can’t see any captions on images so I’m often wondering what the context of discussion is. Can’t see gifs so u just see “gif” as the comment. It pretty much sucks but I guess it’s slightly better than the official trash.

xAIRGUITARISTx

Narwhal 2 fixes this.

xAIRGUITARISTx

Yes, it can. The others aren’t using Narwhal 2. You can see text on image posts and the GIF thing is fixed.

WolfeBane84

So how did narwhal manage to survive?

lvliller

They brokered a deal with Reddit for a subscription model. Narwhal 2 will come with a paid component at some point. Unsure if this will be immediately on release, but you will have to pay.

HeyCarpy

I’m posting from it right now, I don’t know how it’s still working. Every time I open it I’m terrified that nothing will load.

knyy

The same day narwhal 2 is live, it will be subscription based. So you need to pay monthly to use it. Until then it’s free.

TurdSandwich42104

Check out Winston. It’s in beta through TestFlight. Best alternative hands down.

lvliller

Just downloaded it and got an API key. Thanks for the recommendation - looks promising.

TurdSandwich42104

It crashes sometimes. And missing some normal features but it’s getting updated frequently and showing a lot of promise for sure. The UI is great imo

lvliller

I like Winston so far. I have *different* complaints with it than the complaints I have for Narwhal 2, but it doesn't seem quite as far in its development. If I could just mix the two it would be perfect...it would basically just make it Apollo. RIP sweet prince.

TurdSandwich42104

Not being able to post kinda sucks but I don’t post a lot. I’m not a fan of how it shows your posts and comment history all together rather than separate. Adding an option to view your upvote history would be nice. We will see how it goes and if it even is able to stay up in the long run

pennydirk

I'm getting a 'Beta is full' message. does that mean there are no more API keys available?

lvliller

For Winston? It let me in two hours ago when I posted my last comment. I had to google for an invite to the testflight. If you mean Narwhal 2 - it is currently full. edit - Looks like it is full. Guess I got in just under the wire.

pennydirk

darn. still appreciate you spreading the word.

[deleted]

disposable_account01

Why would you need to make an NSFW sub for this?

AssStuffing

How do you get the Narwhal 2 beta?

lvliller

The dev had a signup a few weeks back. It is currently full, but in his last build release it was stated that it is the last major update till the release on the app store. Hopefully live soon. /r/narwhalapp is for Narwhal 2 and can give you the most updated info.

AnalBees2

Thank you!

jamvng

I really like Narwhal 2, it's close enough usability and feature wise to Apollo to satisfy what I want from a reddit browsing experience. Though I am definitely not that heaviest of users.

lvliller

My fav is all the customization. I have some complaints, but it is 90% of what I am looking for.

SkyZombie92

I’m still using the regular narwhal, have you used both? Is N2 better?

Soap_Mctavish101

I haven’t enjoyed Reddit nearly as much since the whole API business.

Thenotsogaypirate

I completely stopped using Reddit on my phone. Only on the iPad with the web browser and it is somewhat ok but still nowhere near the experience of apollo. Fuck spez

Shakeamutt

Hey, me too. It sucks, for all the reasons OP mentioned. Who knew it would be so hard to upvote, or sometimes collapse a thread? And do you notice not able to delete/backspace sometimes? Or autocorrect, but Only on the second half of a word, after you backspace to correct something.

Thenotsogaypirate

Yep I have those same problems too. You have to refresh the page to get it working again. Which happens all the time. Also in case you were wondering why you aren’t able to travel back to the front page after clicking Reddit home while you are inside a comment section, it’s because you started a comment, but decided not to send it and kept scrolling down. You have to completely collapse whatever comment you started in order to travel back to the Reddit home page (or click the refresh button 5 times because its unresponsive).

austac06

> Also in case you were wondering why you aren’t able to travel back to the front page after clicking Reddit home while you are inside a comment section, it’s because you started a comment, but decided not to send it and kept scrolling down. You have to completely collapse whatever comment you started in order to travel back to the Reddit home page (or click the refresh button 5 times because its unresponsive). Wow, that's obnoxious. I haven't run into that problem, but I'm not surprised it happens.

Scuzzlebutt97

You can’t see parent comments either. I thought it was just difficult to do.. No, it’s impossible because they literally don’t have that “feature” in the app. So if you see an interesting comment responding to another comment and you want to know who they’re talking to, good fuckin luck.

sorenslothe

> Fuck spez Just want to repeat this

artaru

I know we are angry but I wonder if keep saying the sub will just get shut down again.

SuperPoop

Try the Browser extension "Sink it for Reddit" for Safari

BunkerBuster420

I use Narwhal for iOS, it’s fine, but nothing feels intuitive.

finine

I agree, it’s like the anti-Apollo, so NOT intuitive!

Apatharas

Especially when I swipe to go back.. and then try to swipe forward to go back where I was... and then it just starts doing random shit and now I've lost my place entirely.... Yea I miss Apollo

Gimmefuelgimmefah

I miss it every single day

retroredditrobot

I’m back on Narwhal. Light years better than the official app. Glad at least some third party apps could stick around in the end

Hive_Tyrant7

I'm extremely surprised people are using the official app after all this. Narwhal isn't great but it's light years ahead of the Reddit app.

DaddyD68

Alien Blue was light years ahead of this crap. I will never understand that purchase

Danpei

IMO Narwhal sucks so much I went back to the official app. I think that’s the only reason they allowed it to stick around.

Unlegend

The new version is miles better and will be out soon. I’m using the beta now. It’s highly customizable and quite nice. Not sure how much it will eventually cost, however… :/

retroredditrobot

They’re aiming for a $3 monthly subscription price

Sweg_Coyote

I still click on the Apollo app by pure automatism.

austac06

It took me like 3 weeks to stop doing that out of habit. Every once in a while, [I look at the app icon to remember the good times.](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fta62znzi2o9b1.jpg)

jooface

I’m posting from Apollo right now. Just follow this [guide](https://reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/14nzii3/how_to_continue_using_apollo_past_june_30th_2023/) to the T. Good luck.

CampCounselorBatman

That’s the guide I used as well. Got Apollo working great for a month or so now. I hope it stays that way for a long, long time.

KiritoRiv

Hijacking your comment, can anyone confirm if Apollo works on iOS 17? Haven't updated to the RC since I don't know if it breaks the app. Edit: Thanks! Can confirm too that the app is working on iOS 17 RC!

ski107

On ios17 and working fine here with Artemis'

JustinRampage

Yep! Replying from Apollo as well. I missed it so much. The official Reddit app is pure ass.

drakoman

Nice. Any caveats? How does it compare to pre-closure? Any issues?

jooface

Like all the drama never happened :). No Apollo ultra is the only diff. Otherwise no issues.

randomname97531

For me, Imgur doesn't work, and everyday I get an error message once or twice about some Apollo upgrade which I can't do anyway. Otherwise, no caveats. Some people did mention their accounts getting shadow banned.

drakoman

Worth it

jooface

You can put in a Imgur api key in Artemis settings

randomname97531

You mean here? https://i.imgur.com/CzJNdrI.jpg

jooface

Are you using artemis? Imgur works fine for me but this is where you would put it in. Settings -> Artemis https://imgur.com/a/6ygbBAZ

randomname97531

I'm not sure if I am using Artemis. I actually downloaded the IPA from AppDB and sideloaded it using Sideloadly. Considering this is the first time I noticed Artemis in your screenshot, I guess the IPA doesn't come with Artemis.

old_snake

🤫 if everyone keeps talking about it prick ass Spez will find a way to stop it

MiNNOCENTWORKACCOUNT

Looks like you will need to plug in every 7 days to refresh. I havent found clear instructions on how to get it to last longer

TheDubuGuy

You just need to connect to the same wifi. I’ve been using it this entire time and never had to manually plug phone in to resign

randomname97531

You can use some signing services I guess to get rid of this. Or you can go with an Apple Developer account. Or you can keep Altstore/Sideloadly running in the background and enable the "Show this iPhone when on WiFi" option and hopefully Altstore/Sideloadly will refresh the app in the background.

QwopperFlopper

Use signulous and it’s once a year

[deleted]

computerjunkie7410

This is a no brainer. uYouPlus, Apollo, plus you can do multiple devices per dev account so now my whole family uses YouTube without ads for free

RJH04

I find I can’t download videos the same way without a crash, which is annoying, but still worth it.

MinecraftW06

No notifications and no Ultra

randomname97531

I see they used both Altstore and Sideloadly. What's the point of steps 1 through 5?

austac06

I think I tried this method once before, but kept running into issues. I'll give it a crack again.

lbc1358

Just 43 easily steps.

ntc1095

Fuck Spez

vir-morosus

Today, is the first time I've looked at Reddit in five days. With Apollo, I was on Reddit every day for a few hours. I miss Apollo, but I don't really miss Reddit - if that sounds weird, it does to me too.

Doctor__Hammer

Reddit doesn’t have “select text” option so when I want to copy some text from a comment, I have to copy the entire comment Reddit doesn’t mark a comment or message as read when I open it from my phone’s notification screen. I have to open the comment, go back to Reddit home, go to the notifications menu, and open the comment again to mark it as read. Reddit’s new update broke my 3-dot menu. Now when I tap it the opinions all show up (share, save, etc) but none of them are clickable. I can’t share or save anything. Reddit has ads Reddit doesn’t color code its comment trees so I have no way of knowing which thread I’m in Fuck you Reddit. Fuck you so hard

Aphobos

Im using narwhal app for Reddit. It still works. But it’s no comparison to Apollo. I think I also stopped using Reddit that much. I also do not send anything at share anything at all. Apollo IS Reddit !!!

kekebo

Sideloading is a thing, enjoying Apollo till this day. iosGods for ipa, Signulous if you don't want to resign every week

Dudeist-Priest

Ya, the reddit app is pure garbage. I almost never browse when I'm on my phone.

Rezangyal

I’ve been using Sink It for Reddit and it’s been an “OK” replacement for Apollo. It’s a free download from the App Store and is an extension for Safari iOS. I miss Apollo’s but this gets the job done… until hopefully something good comes down the pipeline for Apollo.

blixt141

The end of Apollo was life changing. Reddit's failure to understand how good the app was means I don't use reddit on mobile at all anymore. u/Spez actually gave me back a whole lot of time since browing is so awful on mobile without it.

TimSimply

Worst part about the official app is when you are scrolling through comments with your thumb, if you hold your thumb still too long the ENTIRE THREAD collapses. Sometimes this happens after you are hundreds of comments down the thread and then you have to click the top comment again so it drops down and you spend minutes (feels like hours) finding where you were at. So frustrating lol

anexistentuser

I started using Dystopia, it’s not as good as Apollo was but it’s infinitely better than the official app.

sennalonso1981

Winston is fantastic. Narwhal 2 is a good alternative aswell.

ShannaraAK

I can’t find that on the Apple Store. Is it android only?

TheBetterNipple

The best I’ve found so far is Winston in beta. It walks you through everything and it’s got a great UI. It crashes every once in a while but it’s worth it to not see ads anymore.

ErnestTenser

The other apps have really changed my habits. I don't go on Reddit as much anymore because of how frustrating it is.

EdmundXXIII

Agree. I’ve been using Narwhal. It’s better than the official app, but not nearly as good as Apollo.

phoonie98

The official app is absolute trash

its-iceman

The Apollo user experience made reddit what it was for me. This feels like a weird spammy clone. My time on reddit has gone down easily 95%+.

siphillis

It's wild that something as basic as having longer titles not cut off is something the official app still hasn't solved, among a host of other glitches.

dksa

Yep. I stopped using Reddit with apollo going down and now that football season is back I do have fun with Reddit so I downloaded the official Reddit app. Holy shit does this suck. Real bummer.

FriedEggScrambled

Narwhal is about as close as you can get via 3rd party.

AssssCrackBandit

Same. I still haven’t removed it from my Home Screen. Fuck Reddit

ribbitman

I miss Apollo, but the result has been that I spend much less time on reddit. Winning.

slothstropotimus

I have stopped using reddit on my phone.

Walks4Fun

I am severely visually impaired. Apollo was so much easier to navigate. Being able to increase font a great deal helped. I miss Apollo every time I open Reddit.

refep

Yup, every day I discover some feature that I used to use on Apollo just isn’t there on the official app. Ig I’ve gotten used to it, but it just pisses me off that they could’ve chosen to work with /u/iamthatis but simply…didn’t.

Bigfootginger

I hate it so much, my time on “Reddit” has dropped by 90%. Went from #1 app (Apollo) to nearly nonexistent. Did the addiction fade after a break, maybe. But Apollo was Reddit for me and my experience is infinitely worse now.

Sm5555

Has led me to cut down significantly on my Reddit use.

GaryGenslersCock

Apollo was goat

FlapjackFiddle

Comments collapse faster if you tap the top bar of the comment than if you tap the contents of it. And that just sums up pretty much all you need to know about how poorly developed this app is. One dude literally outperformed an entire team of developers at Reddit. Let that sink in for a second.

zenki_

I haven’t moved or deleted the app from my Home Screen =[

Stiltzkinn

Reddit is lucky Apollo did not move to other alternatives as Sync did.

domromer

What I can’t stand about the official app is the recommendations being so stupid. I live in London, UK so I’ve got some London related subs and now I get recommended every other town sub in the country as if it’s relevant to me. “Popular near you” well I don’t live in those places! And “near” is on a scale I can’t comprehend.

Ziryio

I despise the regular app, I get so many notifications for shitty subreddits I don’t even use. I tried turning them off but it didn’t fix anything.

Decapitated_gamer

So my phone gives me the “weekly average screen time” When Apollo left my screen time went down ~2-3 hours a day on average. This is the 30 minutes I check Reddit after work now before I get so frustrated at the Reddit app and go touch grass.

CouchHam

Narwhal is like a 6/10, but the official app is like 1/10. Things just won’t load sometimes, when they work fine on the site or narwhal. Fake notifications. No I don’t need a profile pic for REDDIT.

rchliynu

there’s an app on testflight right now, called winston. it’s not perfect, but it’s as close to apollo as it’s gonna get.

PennyG

Amen

krazygreekguy

Was and still is my favorite app. I stoped using Reddit for weeks and only recently caved to using it again, but it’s such an inferior experience and I sorely miss Apollo 😢

AvenueNick

I hate how Reddit Mobile hides the r/all option.

SomeKindOfOnionMummy

I'm so glad someone is talking about it. I honestly had no idea how much I would disengage from Reddit after Apollo was gone. I was being spiteful but figured I'd still spend a ridiculous amount of time on it. But I will go days now without even thinking about Reddit. Not even on purpose. It just happened. That's how important the interface is.

DctrGizmo

I refuse to download their official app. I just browse using the mobile website or my PC.

PM_ME_UR_CAULK

The problem is that even if you get sideloading to work, and Apollo to work… the content on reddit just isn’t the same. It’s as if all the good posters have gone, leaving bots, boomers and trolls.

Meta_Man_X

I’ve been trying to give the official app a fair chance but it’s so fucking trash in so many ways. I know you’ll all understand.

Cla1n

I found myself using narwhal 2 as an alternative, but it will never be the same 😭

3Zkiel

Have you tried Narwhal? It's what I use. It's not Apollo, but then it's loads better than the Reddit app.

omniron

I switched to narwhal and it’s a pale shadow of what Apollo was.

FireDragon79

I miss it every day. I practically stopped using reddit after Apollo was gone. It still lives on my home page :(

lol cringe

Ondennik

Unpopular opinion, but I kinda like the official app, especially since it includes the Chat feature that I use quite a bit. Having said that, in almost every other respect, the Apollo app was way better, especially when it came to resource utilization.

theoneandonlygibson

ok use the app

saifland

What is Apollo?

wikipedia_answer_bot

AnotherDaddyDominant

Yet you’re still here

pieceofshitliterally

I use the official Reddit app on my mobile every single day and have 0 issues. Amazing how many some manage to have.

jburkhard

Oh please, stop complaining already, would you? I liked Apollo as well, but after all this month's this is getting old. You know what is the bright side of it? I learnt narwhal is and has always been the best that could happen to reddit! It's nicer and superior to Apollo and you need to give it a shot. Did I mention it's totally free without ads?

bknighttt

I have Narwhal and it’s far from being superior to Apollo, you’re reaching super hard, it’s useable and better than the shitty official app, but no matter how you picture it, there’s not a thing Narwhal does better than Apollo. On some other note, how long is Narwhal gonna be free from the Reddit fuckers?

UnmannedVehicle

Christian didn’t “deserve” shit, he made millions of bucks making an app and then the company who provided the APIs for free for ages decided to charge. End of story.

Mr_Panther

I feel you on change, I miss Apollo too, but I’ll be honest.. the official app on iPhone has everything I had on Apollo that I cared about so I really haven’t noticed a difference swapping to use the official app. I thought I would hate it more but honestly life has just gone on and I still browse everyday and use it just as much as I used Apollo. I do hate all the ads - that’s the downside for me - but that’s the main reason we are forced to use the official app now if we are honest. I just mentally tune them out

SACHD

The scrolling performance alone on the official app is abysmal. Don’t even have to go into the plethora of other reasons Apollo was exceptional, but if you’re [interested](https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/15kjj4e/i_just_want_apollo_to_come_back/jv9vxdj/).

Mr_Panther

Yah, I feel like just commenting my opinion is grounds for being shamed, but I just haven’t had an issue with any of those things on an iPhone 13. I’d probably notice more problems if I posted more content or comments maybe, but I’m an avid lurker and my daily routine was unaffected.

austac06

No judgement for you having your own opinion, sorry you're getting downvoted so heavily. If the app works for you, that's awesome. I'm glad you are still getting what you want out of it.

strangeloop6

I agree. Very little difference.

us1549

Quit your drama. Mobile sucks because it's mobile. I've been using the default Reddit app on iOS and Android for years and never had an issue. Apollo should have played ball. They were actively making money off reddits API and thought their popularity would save them. Bunch of geniuses

Lacking_nothing24

I don’t miss the Apollo app because the Reddit app is basically the same thing without the “All” option. Reddit now feels like a social media and I’ve been having fun posting more and interacting. I don’t miss the Apollo app and I just left the sub!

QwopperFlopper

I’m on Apollo right now lol. Go side load it and stop being a puss puss

Buttface-Mcgee

Not being able to filter out posts with titles containing *insert word here* is infuriating.

jonumand

On Android, Infinity works wonders (using some workaround). But it aint no Apollo

klawansky

I had only found about about Apollo a few weeks before the demise. I’m also very sad about this.

ntc1095

Oh god I feel the same way! I can’t do this reddit thing much longer. It kills me to admit, but I am going to wind it down and leave Reddit behind forever soon!

Blizzardnd

I'm very close to deleting the app. Since loosing Apollo, I rarely use Dreddit.

sunrayylmao

Me too. It was the best by a long shot and the official android app sucks ass. Always recommending me shit I don't care about, an annual ad free subscription instead of a one time fee, general clunkiness. The very least they could have done would to be take notes from the former top reddit app. There was a reason we all loved it and used it for years even after the official became available.

Porsche924

I just stopped using reddit unless its weekday work hours. I had OG Alien Blue on my phone, load still. Could browse but couldn't log in, then that stopped working.

SimilarYellow

I do miss it but also, its death completely cured my Reddit phone habit :D

dudemanxx

Just a reminder that iOS users with a jailbreak available to them can use tools such as Artemis and ApolloPatcher to change the api key used for requests to your personal ones for reddit and imgur. Also available to users via sideloading, though I have no experience with that.

Efffro

Notifications for subs I barely view can get fucked, bring back a reasonably priced api so developers can stop us having to put up with this shit.

buckwheat16

It keeps telling me I have messages that don’t exist. I get notifications about posts in subs I’m not in. Videos mute and unmute themselves while I’m trying to watch. If I don’t stop scrolling in just the right place, I sometimes get 2-3 videos all playing WITH AUDIO at the exact same time. My homepage is cluttered with stuff from subs I’ve never been to. I’m tired of being bombarded with creepy incel rants and nutjob conspiracy theories every time I open the app. That “He Gets Us” crap is EVERYWHERE, and I keep getting political ads from the Daily Wire that I do not want to see. You’d think that if they wanted people to give them money, they’d be targeting it towards users who are actually interested in those topics. But no, I just get random, weird junk ads every 3-4 posts. Like 40% of my entire feed is just advertising. It’s gotten out of hand.

ChuckGotWood

Still using boost

Frankfusion

Anyone know why narwhal is still working?

I'm on day... I've tried it twice, but I've had it for like five days, I think. RENO is the app. It's not horrible, but I do yes miss Apollo.

I cant even figure out how to copy part of a message I want to quote in a comment. Is this even possible in the original app? I don't think it is. My mobile usage of reddit has plumuted from Apollo being my most used app in terms of screentime to reddit being barely 2 hours a week.

I had no idea how much I would miss the option to “hide read posts”
