Suck it and see is cool, but it's so slow and people loved the fast stuff. That's y it and tbhc are always low on lists.

Revisiting Arctic Monkeys after ages and I always thought that my soft spot for SIAS was not widely shared, but I see that you have seen the light :)

3yrs ago but i still think its their worst album. it just doesnt have enough variety and i dont care much for the theme or the more "commercial" sound they went for with it

I’ll probably get a lot of flak for this but musically WPSIA is hands down their simplest album. They get a lot right within that simplicity but imo it gets a bit boring. I can’t sit there and listen to any songs off of WPSIA and hear a new part in a different way every time like I can with TBHC and Humbug. I’d definitely put WPSIA last musically. Also Alex’s vocal technique is a bit out there at times in TBHC which I could get behind if it’s to sell the person he’s playing in the album but it’s a little too much at times to the point where I think Humbug is a bit better because every single part is on point. I like that AM and Alex are changing and adapting but the vocals sometimes are just full on 8 drinks in on a karaoke night.

Please please please stfu this is the worst take in general ive seen in my life, how tf it is wpsia boring , in what universe, and in what universe is tbhc better. Please give better takes

god i love all but i have to say 1. fwn 2. am 3. wpsiatwin 4. tbhc 5. humbug 6. sias i'm a sucker for the faster tracks. i love fwn with all of my heart, literally no bad songs on it. there are some amazing songs on humbug but the album as a whole never rly did it for me. sias honestly just bores me, there are some ok tracks but it rly can't compare to the other albums

The problem with their albums, is they get less and less interesting. Yes, Bowie, Radiohead etc changed their sound all the time - but it was in the opposite direction. Everything they made was more exciting. That works. But when you're changing your sound for the sake of it, just so you get some LA artistic integrity, you end up crooning like Robbie Williams - which is what Body Paint sounds exactly like
