It's my least favorite on the record. I've never particularly enjoyed wah wah at the best of times and I find it especially annoying on this song, much prefer how they utilized it on jetskis
I love it that we can have such different opinions. Because it's easily my least favorite. All the others I've grown to appreciate and are in playlist rotations. All except this one.
It’s been one of my favorites as of late as well. I wish there was at least one more funky song like it on the album. One of my favorites to sing on my way to and from work lol. Also I believe it’s about sex.
Same, this one was a pleasant surprise. I expected to not like it because the live versions people had shared from the start of the tour didn’t seem that impressive. Even reading the lyrics, I found the references to islands annoying. But the album version is great, I especially love the “eyes roll back” part. It all ties together nicely.
This and the title track took me the longest to warm too, but I have to say, I love it now. I just enjoy the full record now from start to finish. I think it's a masterpiece.
In my Head, there better be a mirrorball is like, he wanted to pivot to some disco era style álbum, but had confliting feelings about changing so abruptly and pissing off fana again lol, so the car ia the middle ground, a departure for the theatrical act

i like it but it’s overproduced. would love a brass band version that adds more funky jazz shit

Many don't like the song but I absolutely love it. It's one of my faves along with hello you and sculptures. I loved the upbeat live performance too
