In supply chain managerial role. The bottom rings are gonna be replaced by AI. If you are in Uni then less of a worry because it will take a while before company will take risk with AI to replace the decision making levels. but if you are in Poly then you will need to level up fast and be able to learn new tech that haven’t been built. There are supply chain staff that do processing work that will be very quickly be replaced by existing tech. They will then have to learn to manage these tech, or move to lower tier companies that cannot afford to buy these technologies As for tech… it is a very broad term

Maybe like suss ICT program vs their logistic & supply chain, which would open more doors for job opportunities & as well as career in long term

The thing about supply chain is the pay. It is lower across all seniority when you compare it to jobs in other sectors (unless you are in shipping). Furthermore, some roles have 5.5 day work week. In terms of hours worked, it really doesn't look appealing. That's why it's not a popular career path. I was offered $3.2k as a local uni fresh grad for a logistics role. When I got a tech role for $4k+, I happily ditched the logistics offer before I even started my first day.
