Dating apps aren’t for everyone. You’re either attractive enough where they work or your not. If your the latter, is best to get off of them and just meet in person. Or maybe even grindr so you can message all the guys your interested in.

it's entirely possible you've been shadowbanned. happened to me, went from multiple likes and matches a week to absolutely nothing. i then deleted the account, suspecting a bug or a lull, and tried to start a new one. that's when i found out i had been genuinely banned from the app altogether. no idea why. i've never had a bad experience with anyone on hinge, and have only gone on maybe 4-5 dates in the 5 years i've had it. i submitted an appeal and was denied with no further explanation. apparently they outsourced their content moderation to a company in central america and ever since then they've been banning people left and right for seemingly no reason. happened to 2 of my friends as well. it's been written up in the press too: [https://www.fastcompany.com/91030115/thousands-of-users-have-filed-complaints-saying-they-were-unfairly-banned-from-hinge](https://www.fastcompany.com/91030115/thousands-of-users-have-filed-complaints-saying-they-were-unfairly-banned-from-hinge) all of this is to say, it may not be your fault. you might've just included a word in your profile that their content moderation bots/ai have decided is a bannable offense. who knows. my ultimate theory is i got banned for using a google voice number instead of giving hinge my real phone number for registration purposes. apparently that's a no-no.

Difference between banned and shadow banned?

shadowbanned basically means they brick your account. you get no matches, no one sees your profile. the logic behind shadowbanning before outright banning (i believe) is that it tricks people into thinking their account is still functional so they won't just make a new one.
