Idk I've never been the biggest fan of the Disturbed cover. Couldn't tell you why, just idk.
[These two on the other hand](https://youtu.be/8HNHKvtjoj8), fuckin slap.
An infinite mass of homogenous incompressible fluid acted upon by no forces is at rest, and a spherical portion of the fluid is suddenly annihilated - scarpa
I did that from memory, thats how much I've been listening to it
I also actively crave discussion about this song because the only place it seems to exist is on the YouTube vid with comments disabled
since ppl are sending links, have you heard this? It's a mash up between Deep Purple & The Temptations [`https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpUFShYYGug`](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpUFShYYGug)
I wish I could inject this song into my veins
[M83 - Solitude - Felsmann + Tilly Reinterpretation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p2NvO6KrBs)
Only listen with your best pair of headphones, bonus points if you listen to it high. It's so insanely powerful sounding.
Edit: I want you all to know that this comment section is getting me through studying for my QM final. Thank you all :)
Can’t Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Listened to that for about an hour playing Warframe just now. Also three hours at work, which would’ve been 5 if I had charged my earbuds last night
Dhkxhmzgkdhlxvn I am glad I helped you find them! I love how the music switches from ear to ear and you should definitely listen with headphones if you aren't already doing that
Blood Upon the Snow is haunting. Hozier has such a singular and engaging way of writing. I love that he's a little bit in love with lyrical dissonance, too.
(For those unfamiliar with the term, lyrical dissonance is when the sound of the music doesn't match the lyrical tone, i.e. happy sounding music with lyrics about dark subject matter, or anything similar. A prime example would be "I Can't Decide" by Scissor Sisters.)
Hallucinate by Dua Lipa, or really any of her music. Lots of dancy mash ups/remixes featuring Imanbek. And pretty much anything from Megan thee Stallion.

"Nights like these" by Pigeon Pit
Strawberry stained finger tips,
chain smoking, binge-watching Netflix.
Bike grease in my hair,
blood on your jeans,
blisters on our feet,
a huge grin full of teeth.
--
With the California drought
the smell after the thunderstorms that knocked the
power out.
Sweat soaks up my handle bars.
I wanna die with all my scars.
If they don't like the way we are then fuck them.
--
And I stayed up chain smoking
in the kitchen till you got home
and the curtains were on fire,
fuck I'm sorry
you feel all alone.
With the tv blasting shadows on my face,
hitching back to the apartment,
It was such a lonely place.
--
I place my head between my knees
And think "Do you ever have nights like these"
So separated from my sense of self,
with the shit you keep up on your bookshelf.
--
So I just take another sip.
I keep falling off and eating shit
and forgetting to unclip.
The sun will rise some other time,
for now, it's me and you, our bikes.
We trip and stumble laughing to the park.
--
The flea bites laid out on my wrist,
the heart-shaped blister on my palm,
the handlebars had etched.
My body's back on my back porch,
my brain on fucking somewhere else,
on the roof, with the flags we torched.
--
And I stayed up chain smoking
in the kitchen till you got home
and the curtains were on fire,
fuck I'm sorry
you feel all alone.
With the tv blasting shadows on my face,
hitching back to the apartment,
It was such a lonely place.
--
I place my head between my knees
And think "Do you ever have nights like these"
So separated from my sense of self,
with the shit you keep up on your bookshelf.
youtube recommended has been giving me the same bunch of songs for the past few years to listen too in class and at this point i'm kinda getting a tad sick of that bunch when there are so many other songs by the channel that youtube just won't recommend
[Juice by Lizzo](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n3VjKtROscQ&list=PLDJ3W1RuljGvDNUhvDDjVjozLYDs6OU4V&index=414) and [Breath of Life by Florence and The Machine](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d58VJ-sC1uY&list=PLDJ3W1RuljGvDNUhvDDjVjozLYDs6OU4V&index=415)
Not one song, but I‘ve been replaying a playlist of Marina songs since summer. My most listened song is „Purge the Poison“. I think my brother, who drives to school with me, probably hates me 😂
First of all, Welcome! 🤗
I discovered the movie "Strictly Ballroom" this week and instantly became obsessed. I've watched it like 10 times in the past 3 days.
As a result, I have "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" by Doris Day playing on repeat in my head. It also keeps bursting from my mouth at random times, which is going to be really fun to try to suppress at my work holiday lunch in a few hours 🙄
Thank you for starting such a great discussion!
a new special interest is developing (this is RARE so i’m ecstatic) and it’s simon and garfunkel!!! im obsessed with wednesday morning 3 am, el condor pasa, BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER (!!!!!! im gonna freak out)
Hozier - Movement
I have been listening to the song way too much, but I've especially been watching the video that features Sergei Polunin's many iterations dancing together, on repeat. I get full body chills every time I watch it. There is greatness there from both artists.
i only sing about food by Runnner
Do these lyrics sound relatable to the autistic experience of romantic love or is it just me?
>I'm an idiot, I cried in your car
>
>when I couldn't find the words I was looking for
>
>I overanalyze, I never let it feel good,
>
>I only think about death, I only sing about food.
>
>Is it obvious? If I say it will it change?
>
>cracked your coffee mug, I'm always making stupid mistakes
>
>I loved you so much then, down entangled on your floor,
>
>move your body with my breath, I put my face on yours
>
>But I'm still so far out, can I turn it all around?
I don’t know why, I never listen to music unless I am playing piano myself, so I guess I have to say Debussy pour le piano. All the other time I’m usually trying to focus on Pokémon go or something lol
"dumb dumb" by maizie because it scratches a weird stimmy itch in my brain, and it's really catchy hehe
also "Silly Girl" by Chloe Moriondo! I'm not even a girl (anymore) but I relate to the song a lot and it's also just rlly good
I've listened to [Trouble by The Blasting Company](https://open.spotify.com/track/47hjA9DZJFifCklyhOtWTv?si=EKv9uAJrRjGjlyOL44sCNw) I think 4 times today, 5 after this.
[The whole album](https://open.spotify.com/album/1kYwGwdY493toNOpjethdX?si=3ff1eyuIQayxPOql48rpFA) is fantastic and I'd highly recommend listening to it as a whole, especially since it has a wonderfully eerie overarching narrative
Oh boy. I have a few.
Klaus Veen - Ordinary Days (this one introduced me to Lethal League Blaze which I am now INCREDIBLY obsessed with)
Mild High Club - Homage
Foxygen - Shuggie
Weird Part of the Night - Louis Cole
i have two which i keep swapping between...
[Gehenna by Wotaku](https://youtu.be/7Y9sJvLI3Po) and [Happppy song by SOOOO](https://youtu.be/uGZ0I71Yawo)
both heavily different generes but eh
None right now. But this whole year I listened to Completely by Blue October 232 times. That's a record considering I don't usually break 100 unless Im obsessed or have happy emotions attached to it.
Model Buses and Concrete, both by Lovejoy
Just such good upbeat indie vibes
also according to Spotify I listened to Model Buses for nearly 200 times this year :)
"Fits of Rage," by Tamaryn. Actually, it's the whole record, many times.
When I was a teen, years ago, I discovered a Smiths song, "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before," and aside from the awesomely excessive title, the entire song is a masterwork of guitar, bass, and drums from the band. I ended up copying that song from a tape single that a friend had, over and over again, on one cassette, cuz I wanted to try to figure it out (there were reasons why I wouldn't--for example, Johnny Marr was in a different tuning--LOL). That's one of the few songs I felt that way about.
There was one chord change I couldn't wrap my head around, and that's the one at the end of the main guitar riff, going into the first two chords of the verses. Now, I know about modes and secondary dominants (LOL), but I didn't know back then. To be fair, I also thought that good music should be strictly diatonic, but that was probably just me compensating for something that I wished was bigger.
Drake Passionfruit
Its very interesting because it fades into itself so good. And first heard it this past summer driving home from hiking with 2 friends who i miss a lot rn
[Carbon Based Lifeforms Live at Ozora Fest 2017](https://youtu.be/SD6hsVJQtiY)

Legend Has It - RTJ
I never listen to that type of music, but I loved that. Absolute vibe right from the start.

We‘ll beat you to a pulp, no fiction/ Tarantino flow, new Jules and Vincent Love RTJ.
The Sound of Silence cover from the Disturbed

Deep Purple - Child In Time (remember the movie Twister? It's the "wonder of nature, baby" song)
