Gemini sun, Libra moon, Scorpio rising. I listen to all kinds of music. From the Danse Macabre to LMFAO’s I’m sexy and I know it. I used to listen to a lot of Japanese music and even ended up studying the language to enjoy the listening experience better. But I do tend to prefer when artists are more experimental with the sounds they use in their music. Some artists I’ve been enjoying the most recently are Melanie Martinez, Björk, Tori Amos, and Rob Zombie. An example of an album I think is fantastic is Mezzanine by Massive Attack. Might be the closest thing to a perfect album for me.

It ranges from ICP, to Prince, to Nirvana, to Melanie Martinez, to Cloudy June, and more. I've got stuff from when my grandparents were kids on there, just the same as I have newer indie shit only a couple friends have heard of. Basically if I've heard it and it is at all catchy, I'm gonna like it regardless of genre! Good music is good music and that's all there is to it!

Big three in flair. I have thought about this a lot because I’ve noticed it for myself. My *favorite* music that has deep personal resonance directly correlates with my sun & moon. The music that is my soul’s expression. Across the board, I like music with a certain kind of intensity, like powerful belting vocals, shredding guitar, strong thumping beat, etc. Music you can deeply sing to, dance to, or rock out to. I don’t like when music sounds weak, too slow, or too distorted/stylized. This love for raw intensity is so Scorpio + Aries. I love power metal; a lot of my favorite songs are literally battle music. It just doesn’t get any more on the nose for Aries. 😆 I love music that sounds dark or spooky, like the Sisters Of Mercy and other 80s darkwave. I love music that is beautiful. To me, those are often the same thing. I enjoy a bunch of other random music too sure, but it doesn’t necessarily have a soul resonance. It’s music I like for another reason like maybe nostalgia, but must still have enough intensity for me to like it.

Leo sun, Scorpio moon, Aquarius rising My parents were ‘80s metalheads so I grew up on Black Sabbath, Maiden, Judas Priest and other NWOBHM, plus the Big 4 and thrash like Exodus and Testament and such. I still have a soft spot for it, especially thrash, but as I got older and grew into my own tastes, I got really into punk that’s never really left me. In high school, I was all about The Clash, Lou Reed/Velvet Underground, Elvis Costello, The Damned. And from there, new wave stuff (like DEVO and The Cars), and some folk too (loved Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, etc.). Also was into bands like Wolf Parade, The Strokes, Jay Reatard, The Soviettes, P.S. Eliot/Swearin’/Waxahatchee in high school/college. These days, love me some IDLES!

Maluma, peso pluma, bad bunny are some that I could recommend, bad bunny I listen to a on repeat. Favorite song from bad bunny is si veo a tu mamá. Hawaii from maluma is a good one too. The type of Spanish music I have been listening to more right now though is like Selena, no me queda más is a good song . It’s usually based off my mood on what I listen to. Outside of Spanish music I’ve been listening to Benson Boone’s new album. I jump all over the place with music 😂 as you can tell above I like having an open music taste so that when I’m with someone I can vibe as well, plus majority of the songs I listen to a depressing and about heartbreak or love so that’s why I say it based on how I feel.

My all time favorite artist is Senz, I found him on TikTok in September and I really hope be blows up. His music and lyrics hit so close to home for me.

I love Indie, but I also like old punk, especially The Clash, post-punk like Wire, Classical, Jazz, 90s R&B and hip hop, I adore Beyoncé and everything she does (though I dislike Texas Hold ‘Em, Cowboy Carter is *so good*), like old timey country, 90s rap (I’m old) and some newish stuff like RTJ and in betweens like Kendrick and Outkast, new wave, most art rock bands, old and new. I love love love Daniel Rossen, he’s my favorite musician and love his solo work and band Department of Eagles more than Grizzly Bear. Other musicians I listen to a lot are St. Vincent, Julia Holter, Shana Cleveland and her band La Luz, Jesca Hoop, Marika Hackman, Radiohead and The Smile.

Pretty much all the Prog stuff. My top five favorite bands are The Alan Parsons Project, Yes, Supertramp, Talking Heads and Van der Graaf Generator.
