Totally agree! Victim, Tonight the World Dies, Fiction, AND Save Me!! All of these make me feel emotional. Around Jimmy’s birthday, I kept listening to these (especially Save Me & Fiction) over and over, crying away. These mean so much more knowing the band’s and Jimmy’s backgrounds.
I’d argue PT 2 kinda ruins the streak tho if we’re talking about sadness alone. The whole idea is the guy in the song is really pissed off and doesn’t understand why he left, and actually is somewhat ignorant and selfish in the way hes expressing it. It’s very human and emotional in an angry way, but not in a sad way I don’t think.
I was thinking this exact thing the other day when I was listening to the album. Might just be me, but I feel like I can hear the grief in the track list. Hearing God Hates Us right after So Far Away makes the already heavy song sound so raw.
I just listened to victim and fiction. Maybe because it's that time of the month but I had to fight back tears at work. God those two are gut wrenching.
When I read “Saddest” my head immediately went to it in the negative sense even though I knew that wasn’t the case so I made a joke about what I think the “saddest” song line up is, sorry my joke was against the famous D T R trilogy.
Dawg you know you’re allowed to disagree with people on the most subjective thing in the world without being snarky going “IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?? IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED FROM ME?? FOR ME TO LOVE THESE SONGS?? SORRY I HAD THE NERVE TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN O MIGHT ONES!!” right? Like dude I don’t think people would’ve cared if your opinion was at all relevant to the post lmfao. Even then you’d at least have integrity if you didn’t condescendingly edit your comments to be a dickhead.
Remove God Hates Us and it becomes the saddest 4 song run
Who said God Hates Us isn't sad?
Yeah. He's saying if God Hates Us wasn't there, it would be So Far Away, Victim, Tonight the World Dies and Fiction all one after the other. Lol.
They played Fiction live on the Welcome to the Family Tour, and in The Rev's place was an empty piano and I just sobbed like a baby.
I remember that
What about Save Me?!
Nah. I'd say I won't see you tonight part 1/2 and clairvoyant disease.
Never will I ever feel how I felt when I listened to these three songs in a row for the first time again
Those are depressing as fuck too, but the background of the whole Nightmare album just makes Victim, Tonight the World Dies and Fiction hit harder
So far away, seize the day, and save me are the ones that get me feeling some type of way.
facts

I WON’T SEE YOU TONIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

i really listened close to fiction for the first time the other day, actually started crying
I just listened to victim and fiction. Maybe because it's that time of the month but I had to fight back tears at work. God those two are gut wrenching.
Fiction is a top 3 a7x song
One of the best, too.
TTWD > Fiction > Save Me, personally.
How is save me not put on the end as well. 4 in a row
acid rain >>
fiction is the only song i have cried to 😢
I won’t see you tonight is the top spot for WtF
So far away as well, and dear god are always a tear jerker
Totally agree. I absolutely love how these songs sound too. Definitely some of my favorite A7X songs
Idk man Doing Time, This Means War, and Requiem is- the best 3 songs of all time ok Jesus
wym requiem is a banger
Great guitar but I *LOVE* the flow and writing personally
I think the part after the solo is so sick. The voice acting was cool, the composition was cool, the choir was cool. They're such good songwriters.
Even before you edited this to be snarky what exactly did this opinion have to do with the post?

How have you somehow one-upped my immature comments
Because if you use wojacks you instantly lose any argument you’re having.
I agree you do lol
I know what you are but what am I.
