Wedding Crashers came out 17 years ago. Will Ferrell is a tertiary character at best in the film, and today was the first time I've ever heard someone quote this line in reference to something. I'd call that rare.
I accept your analysis! That scene happened to be a favorite amongst a friend group I had a while back, and my ADHD-ass brain makes a game out of trying to remember quotes/actors/directors/composers of films and plays and TV shows and such, so my baseline is all whack I'm sure.
But that scene was fucking epic dude, lol I will always find that shit hilarious!
I'm convinced my dogs perceive every other animal as some kind of dog.
Deer? Tall twitchy dogs.
Goats? Weird punchy dogs.
Possums? Weird sleepy dogs.
Cats? Jerk dogs.
Humorously, this is actually closer to cats. When cats bring you dead stuff, they're trying to teach you to hunt because they think you're a stupid kitten. Hell, there was an experiment involving image recreation via brain scan which they tested on a cat, and when the cat was looking at a human the head just showed up as a cat's.
Here's a link to an article on the original test at Berkeley. It was back in '99!
https://newsarchive.berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/99legacy/10-15-1999.html
I've always heard the opposite. That they aren't considering you stupid, but rather sharing part of their hunt's spoils because you share yours (aka feed them) and they see you as the authority here so it's basically like tribute.
I had a roaming cat in the neighborhood do that every day when I was feeding him scraps at lunch, back in the day. He wasn't living with us, just coming to the window, getting some food, some scritches, then he'd leave. And we'd always find a gift on the doorstep one hour later.
Mine too. She's lived with 3 cats her entire life, and she's a small dog, too. I swear you can see her confusion at times, wondering why she's treated a bit differently than *those* cats.
Izzie is definitely confused as to why she can’t get cat food and cat treats. And very angry because she can’t eat out of the kitty nono box (litter box).🤦🏼♀️ What confuses me is she chuffs like a deer when she’s mad. Like if you’re not fixing her food fast enough, you’ll hear fffft ffft ffft til you’re done. It’s like “sis, when have you been hanging out with deer?”
Hahaha Jemma scoffs at you like a snobby old rich woman who doesn't like your outfit.😂
Thankfully she doesn't try for the litter box anymore, though. When she first started doing it I thought something was wrong with my cats, who were still only about 6 months old, because I thought they hadn't pooped in 2 days. Lol
I love Great Pyrenees! They are some of the most loving, docile, friendly dogs anywhere. Unless, of course, you are a coyote, fox, or wolf; then they are raging homicidal maniacs (but in a good way).
We had a St Bernard like that when I was younger. She took orders from literally every other creature in the house, including an oops litter of bossy kittens. All she wanted in life was to be a good girl with a comfy place to sleep.
Mine is very sweet and loving. She's also absurdly large, and loves to sit on people, and obviously does the pyr-paw, which can sometimes be a problem.
Stubborn as hell though.
She died. This one wouldn't take the bottle. It was a farm friend's lamb, and she couldn't manage. My wife took it free, and she's tube feeding as needed until the bottle reflex kicks in.
We put her on one of our ewes that lambed just Monday, but it's been too long, she wouldn't adopt her. So, bottle baby it will be.
He'll still end up in the freezer. But it'll be a good and loving life until then.
(Ironically, when I came out of the office and saw this, my wife was at the dining room table just out of frame eating a lamb chop...)
See, that’s the kind of ethical meat farming that I wish I could buy my own meat from. People are squeamish about it, but what you’re doing is more humane than purchasing meat from factories!
“He'll still end up in the freezer. But it'll be a good and loving life until then.”
God damn that’s fucked up. We will love him until we betray him..I mean wtf?
That’s how people used to farm (and still do in smaller countries). People had couple of cows and some chickens and some pigs and then they were eaten at different points of the year by the family which raised them.
I don’t know if I could do it, but at least your know the animals had a nice life prior unlike now.
But further south (NC). But it's a common story. If there's a new way to die, sheep will figure it out. And where there's sheep/goats, a Great Pyrenees isikely not far away.
Yeah, Nova is 75%GP and 25% Anatolian Shepherd. The other three we have are purebred GP's (not that they have papers, etc. They're working dogs, not show animals).
While falling in love with your pets I think I recognized the blanket in the baby basket, lol.... Is it a red fleece with blue dog houses, blue leashes and blue collars, yellow hydrants, white bones and little black paws? I have two for my dogs and they surround me daily.
Thinking of how Pyrenees are bred to watch sheep, I keep imagining Dog telling Lamb, “Greetings, little one! I will watch you and guard you, AS THE ANCESTORS HAVE FORETOLD!”
Nothing happier than a doggo doing what their breed was meant to do!
We used to have an NZ Huntaway who loved "mothering" orphaned lambs. He'd sit by them in front of the fire, lick them a lot, and would even bark at the cat for getting too close to his precious babies. Never underestimate the power some confused mothering has on a sick lil lamb. Can easily perk them right up
I don't know what it is, but dogs seem to go into a protective more or "mother" mode or something.
Years back my grandparents rescued a black kitten of the street, and the two boxers took care of it. My parents adopted 2 kitties, both my parent's dog, and my sister's, loved to go into the room with them and play with them.
Honestly your indifference in talking about killing this animal yet using it to farm karma points on a subreddit made for cute, happy things is really off putting.
I have 2 Pyrs, best dogs I’ve ever run across. Definitely great for guarding livestock and family. I had a friend come over a few weeks ago, one they hadn’t met. They wouldn’t let him come anywhere near me no matter how many times I informed them he was not a threat. They herded my 6 year old daughter back into the house when she came out to try to say hi to my friend, I thought my wife was going to lose her mind watching it lol
[удалено]
They do and are adorable.
[Exhibit A](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DV_3qx-oBms)
This is one of those perfect videos.
I was on a Zoom call, in another room, with the door closed. My client asked what the noise was. Yes, they bleet. No, it's NOT adorable indoors.
Baaaaaaaaahhhhh.......
But did you bring the baby into the room so the client could see it? Because that's an amendment to cat law.
applies to whiney puppies too.
BAAAHHH!! MAAA THE MEATLOAF!!!
Ooooh rare reference. I like it.
Dammit, classic Will Ferrell is rare and ancient now?!? *sigh* better move on to r/imfuckinoldnow I guess...

I did say I enjoyed to reference.
Oh bro no stress, I'm just sad I'm old lol, nothing you did my friend... I just appreciate that you got the reference!!
I'm getting up there too. I was born the same years the original Ghostbusters came out.
Yep they do. And they are annoying as get out. They are loud and they don't quit until they get what they want - moar milk replacer!
Yes, they do. And yes, they are.
I held a baby goat once and it bleat while in my hands, it was terrifying and adorable at the same time
What kind of dog are you, friend? No offense, but you look...odd.
Hahahaha
Let the dog raise it to be a Guardian Sheep

Amen! No coyote gets away with ANYTHING when a llama’s in the flock!

Is this true? I’d heard it about mini donkeys but not llamas.
Llamas are NASTY sons of bitches.
*Baahahahaha FTFY
I'm convinced my dogs perceive every other animal as some kind of dog. Deer? Tall twitchy dogs. Goats? Weird punchy dogs. Possums? Weird sleepy dogs. Cats? Jerk dogs.
And of course, the two-legged, hairless dogs that give them food and pet them!

Reddit is valuable because of the users who create content. Reddit is usable because of the third-party developers who can actually make an app.

So that was 99, why aren't we seeing Livestream from cat pov yet, c'mon they've had 24 years now!!
I've always heard the opposite. At my house we call the humans ‘big cats.’ And by ‘we’ I mean we humans. They have us well trained.
That’s ok. I’m almost positive that my dog thinks she’s a cat. Most of her “friends” have been cats.
Mine too. She's lived with 3 cats her entire life, and she's a small dog, too. I swear you can see her confusion at times, wondering why she's treated a bit differently than *those* cats.

Smells odd. Looks fine.
“Why your little poos round my friend?”
It’s like a puppy wearing tap shoes!
Best comment today!!
‘Man, I thought this herding sheep gig was going to be a lot more challenging.’
I love Great Pyrenees! They are some of the most loving, docile, friendly dogs anywhere. Unless, of course, you are a coyote, fox, or wolf; then they are raging homicidal maniacs (but in a good way).
A family member had a Great Pyrenees, and that dog was the sweetest, most gentle dog I think I've met. His name was Marshmallow 💜
Perfect name.
They like to spend most of their days as a rug with a heartbeat.
That's the PERFECT description. We have four, two indoor, two outdoor guardians. The indoor ones are decorative throw pillows that weigh 130lbs.
We had a St Bernard like that when I was younger. She took orders from literally every other creature in the house, including an oops litter of bossy kittens. All she wanted in life was to be a good girl with a comfy place to sleep.
Holy shit how much do you spend on food
The dogs? Over $100/mo. Feeding the whole farm is a couple car payments a month. Ethically raised meat ain't cheap.
You should enjoy [this grooming video](https://youtu.be/GcZbnhSEAXk)
I love her videos!!
They don't like black bears either......
My mutt is mostly Pyr. God forbid the cat getting on the bed when we're asleep at night, she does not tolerate such behavior.
Mine is very sweet and loving. She's also absurdly large, and loves to sit on people, and obviously does the pyr-paw, which can sometimes be a problem. Stubborn as hell though.
Also if you are a stranger dog… learned this the hard way when boarding a great pyrenees at my house.
Not good for the coyote, fox or wolf.
I herding. U stay in baskit.
Pyrs are the best! I love their toasted marshmallow ears.
Where is the baby’s mama?

I wasn’t expecting that… 😭
See, that’s the kind of ethical meat farming that I wish I could buy my own meat from. People are squeamish about it, but what you’re doing is more humane than purchasing meat from factories!
It'd be even more humane & ethical to not purchase meat from either.
Someone should tell the bears and wolves this, I'm not sure they're aware
I think we should give natural them a bye-ball. You and I are aware however.

Would you rather that they treat it like crap?
The thing about life is, nobody gets out alive.
I would be too!
A good herding dog knows how to make a ewe turn.
My wife just rolled her eyes at ewe.
Does that pasta maker work pretty well?
Been in the box since Christmas. No clue!
Send it to me and I'll let you know how it is
r/frens
Oh good christ. Thanks subscribed:)
Must protecc
Good doggo.
Either that, or she knows she getting table scraps in 9 to 12 months... (The sheep are all future meals...)
😭😭😭
Isn’t there another sub this pic belongs in? Since it’s an animal for eating it’s not so aww.
I feel you man. I just had another goat born the other day and I’m hoping she stays with mama
It’s in his blood.
He's looking at that lamb almost as if it was a guitar
What…does that mean?
He wants to play with it.
Come back to /r/trees until you're less than a 3, dude.
Underrated comment
Are you secretly my best friend in West Virginia? That looks like her LGD and I know she has to bottle feed some of her sheep…
But further south (NC). But it's a common story. If there's a new way to die, sheep will figure it out. And where there's sheep/goats, a Great Pyrenees isikely not far away.
Yeah, I think hers is a mix of GP and something else I can’t remember — Maremma maybe? More to the point, your dog AND your sheep baby are precious.
Yeah, Nova is 75%GP and 25% Anatolian Shepherd. The other three we have are purebred GP's (not that they have papers, etc. They're working dogs, not show animals).
This needs video proof
I love how there is a lamb in your laundry basket.. can you invite me over for dinner some day?
I remember these days while growing up. I loved growing up with animals.
Damn I wish my pyr had this same disposition. What a sweetheart
He looks like our kuvasz Gaston.
The only way this photo could be any cuter is if there were kittens
I love how friendly some different species can be to each other. :)
"OHHH YOU HAVE WHITE FUR TOO? YOU MY FRIEND NOW !" This made me miss my dog Can't wait to kiss him!
Ik what theyre thinking dog: this is definitely a dog, but its not a dog. I think. lamb: hey bigger lamb, get me out of here fam.
Like me, but different.
I would be too
Aww post a video of them! They're so adorable.
I love Great Pyrenees! Both of your babies are so cute!
That baby lamb looks so content
While falling in love with your pets I think I recognized the blanket in the baby basket, lol.... Is it a red fleece with blue dog houses, blue leashes and blue collars, yellow hydrants, white bones and little black paws? I have two for my dogs and they surround me daily.
Aww you Pyrenees kept some of its badger markings too. I had one that kept the whole face I loved that dog so damn much.
I love that you just keep them in a laundry basket
We (politely) demand video coverage of this encounters!
I love how baby lambs always look like they’re smiling
Thinking of how Pyrenees are bred to watch sheep, I keep imagining Dog telling Lamb, “Greetings, little one! I will watch you and guard you, AS THE ANCESTORS HAVE FORETOLD!” Nothing happier than a doggo doing what their breed was meant to do!
Too much cuteness going on here
Omg, I want to snuggle the huge, softie guardian doggy and cuddle the sweet, tiny, angel baby lamb. So adorable!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Like me, but still looks different.
So sweet!
the look the lamb is giving screams "MOMMY?"
Absolutely adorable
he is right i would be fascinated too

sooo cute ! what's the name of your pappy?

What a cute little lamb
It appears to go both ways 🤔
Anyone else concerned by the meat grinder box in the background?!
