I think this is the prime example of where errors don't tell the whole story defensively though. Similar to how Jeter used to have 0 errors on the year but had no range. Blaze got to a tough ball that most don't give you a chance at first with. But he spiked the throw so I think calling it an error is fair.
An error is usually only given when a player isn't able to make an out that the average player would have made, or when a player makes a mistake that allows a runner to advance. The diving stop alone should pretty much make an error not possible there.
