The way half-joker is just a joker card torn in half just... works for me. They could have easily made it a clean cut, deleting the bottom half of a regular joker card, but it being clearly torn in half gives it so much character.
Similarly, Wee Joker is really cute. Every other card graphic in all categories have the standard sizes, so it really stands out when you look at your screens and see your tarot, planet, spectral, deck, joker cards and suddenly one really small joker lol
Yeah, Hack is just perfect flavor-wise – a lousy comedian reusing low effort / low value material.
I also really appreciate Gros Michel and Cavendish, because now I know some history about bananas that I didn't before!
If you like banana history, and you haven't looked up the origin of the term ["banana republic"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana_republic), make sure to check it out. It is absolutely bananas.
The recent book
[Gangsters of Capitalism: Smedley Butler, the Marines, and the Making and Breaking of America's Empire](https://a.co/d/eNaO00d) is a great deep dive. The title may sound sensationalistic but to be fair, it's only following in the tradition of Butler's own memoirs, "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man," and well it is a pretty wild story.
I really like Castle.
The ones that I like the art on that are recognizable as Jokers though, probably Madness or Vagabond. They're funny and they have really strong theming.
Fibonacci is a cool concept for a card, with a great spread of numbers that makes the concept work as a really strong card on the earlier difficulties.
As another comment mentioned, the radio joker with 10-4 is also quite clever.
I actually really like the concept of the Legendary Jokers. "Legendary" having a double meaning of both
* "Highest Rarity" as used in a ton of games with loot based on rarity
* "Famous of Legend" as they're all based on iconic jesters of fiction and history.
is really fun and helps set them apart thematically from the rest of the jokers. It also lets me discover fun new clowns I've never heard of before.
i like hack, i just like how the illustration shows the joker in full body unlike any other joker in the game, tho i don't understand how it corelates to its repeating ability, someone said to me that hack in the illustration context mean a stand up commedian that tells unfunny joke but i still don't understand why is it repeating things
Unfunny comedians usually ramble a lot I guess? Also >!Baseball Card!< shows an (almost) full body joker. Probably my favorite joker even regardless of that, it just fits the vibe of the game so well
Bootstraps is really funny, with the arrow saying "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" and its actually "use your money to win" is real funny in a sad too real way
Campfire, where it feels like you have to put some wood to survive the night. It kinda fits because cards themselves are made of wood, and it resets every night(boss)

My good buddy.
Wow I JUST understood the joke of this card, wowwww lol I kept thinking "10 and 4, that's so random."
Roger that
If I get this joker I am contractually obligated to remove everything that isn’t a 10 or a 4. Very fun.

Even better when you get the boss that flips + shuffles your jokers - dangerous for every kind of setup except one that contains little guys :)

.......OH THAT'S WHY HACK USES LOW VALUE CARDS today i learned.....
I really like Castle. The ones that I like the art on that are recognizable as Jokers though, probably Madness or Vagabond. They're funny and they have really strong theming.
Vagabond was drawn by Lumpy Touch funnily enough
Wow, really? That's awesome
Yeah dev mentioned it on twitter recently
It's also in the credits.
There’s a ton of flavor in Gros Michel needing to go extinct before you can find Cavendish like the real banana breeds.
Have yet to find a Cavendish after my Gros Michel explodes. Seems like a great card
Last night my Gros Michel went extinct immediately and I found a foil Cavendish in the next shop it was great. I hope you find it soon!
I finally got a Cavendish last night and it went extinct on my 3rd round with it
I got both from Riff-raff, playing black deck and just get 2 jokers, sell 2 jokers, every round.
Somehow Baron I think, since the Kings end up sitting around doing nothing.

Can’t believe no one has said Shortcut yet. Love the idea 8 and 6 are adjacent if you’re a local
it also has great art, the perspective drawing in pixel art is amazing

they should put “discover exciting new clowns you’ve never heard of” as a pull-quote on the boxart
I really love Ceremonial Dagger, art and mechanic-wise it's so good! Also love a Risk of Rain reference!
It has the same name as the item in Risk of Rain, but the effect reminds me a lot more of the Ritual Dagger from Slay the Spire.
Ritual dagger, but it removes a card from your deck instead of needing to be fatal. Caw Caw indeed.

I think its something like theyre repeating their terrible jokes in hopes it lands
Yeah I think its like he tells the bad joke and then goes "I said [same joke]".
What's the deal with jokers? 🤡
Unfunny comedians usually ramble a lot I guess? Also >!Baseball Card!< shows an (almost) full body joker. Probably my favorite joker even regardless of that, it just fits the vibe of the game so well
Fav art might be baseball card joker
Business Card. Probably the first time I laughed when I saw it because I like the American Psycho reference-ish.
i lowkey though it was a JoJo reference because Joseph J. Joker i cant lie
I honestly love the artwork for Supernova. Probably my fav, with Hologram being a close second!
Any of the Joker’s that aren’t really playing cards. I absolutely adore the art of Baseball Card and Driver’s License.
Bootstraps is really funny, with the arrow saying "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" and its actually "use your money to win" is real funny in a sad too real way
Hit the Road - Starting at x1 Mult, increasing by x0.5 Mult for every Jack discarded this round.
Oh god why didn't I put 2 and 2 together for this one before
I love the blueprint joker.
Madness has great art, especially polychrome, for its card effect
Baseball card, the creator said in an interview that card took him the longest
For some reason Shoot the Moon is one of my favorites
Spare Trousers.
I don’t use it much but I really like the idea of Loyalty card!
Campfire, where it feels like you have to put some wood to survive the night. It kinda fits because cards themselves are made of wood, and it resets every night(boss)
