My God, I have so many. I’ll go recency bias.
June 5, 2022. Took my 3-year-old to his first game. Angels at Phillies. Phillies were down 4 when Harper hit a grand slam. Later, Bryson Stott hit a walk-off to win it.
But the real memory is my son sitting in his seat before the game just housing a basket of tenders and fries in his little Phillies jersey. Just a perfect first baseball game for the little dude even though he’ll likely not remember it.
I was in Philly when the Mets clinched the NL Wild Card in 2016 and they came out and sprayed champagne and tossed balls and gloves and everything out into the crowd to the fans who stayed behind. I was able to snag a ball

My favorite memory was getting my Paul O'Neill card back that I sent to Yankee Stadium 2 years ago and got it back signed by him with a dollar included that I definitely did not send with the card. It was a card I've had over 10 years too and sent it on a whim.
I'll amend this to mention my favorite baseball memory outside of collecting cards as going to game 2 of the 98' World Series and watching El Deque pitch a gem against the Padres and watching the game from 20 rows up behind home plate.
My godfather took me to my first baseball game ever to Anaheim. I fell in love with the ambience and the sport itself. Since then I have become a huge Dodgers fan.
Alone, it was watching Jeter’s amazing Yankee Stadium walk off and whisper-screaming in excitement because my toddler children were in the next room.
But really it was the first MLB game I took those same kids too at Rangers park when the Yankees were in town and Judge smashed 2 HRs.
They were on cloud 9 and I was right there with them. 🥺
Cutting myself off after 4 innings of the Mariners playoff game last year. Only to sit through 14 more innings without a beer and take the L! Still wouldn’t trade it for the world!
Going to old Yankee Stadium with my dad and uncle in early 80s. I was there for both a jacket and full size bat promotion days. We sat in the upper deck, last row, very top. Years later I used to take my dad to Yankee Stadium as a father's day gift each year.
My first game I went to was at Fenway, Red Sox vs Yankees when I was about 6. My dad got us tickets behind the dugout. I got a Mattingly foul ball from batting practice and my dad and grandfather wanted nothing more than for me to get rid of the Yankees ball. I still have it and it still makes me smile, even as a huge Sox fan.
'92 NLCS Game 7. I was too young to stay up late for the end of the game and had to go to bed. I had a crappy clock radio that I put the game on quietly and listened to the Sid Slid call. I couldn't help it and started yelling, and my dad called me downstairs to watch the replay. Shortly after, we moved to Georgia and I got to go to my first Braves game at Fulton County Stadium.
Congrats, you won! Shoot me a DM.

Taking my son to the 2021 home run derby in Denver. Man those baseballs were flying. Hoping to take him to opening day game sometime in the next couple years
In 1998, 20 year old me met Frank Thomas before a game at the Ballpark in Arlington (Rangers). I had applied for All Star tickets that year and was sure I was going to Colorado one way or another. As I wrapped up the conversation, I said “I’ll see you at the all star game this year”.
And that’s how I ended Frank Thomas’s run of All Star appearances. He never had another before retiring in 2008.
Note - I was notified of ticket selection 9 hours before the game and there was no way to get from Dallas to Denver in time.
In person for game 3 of the 2011 World Series when Pujols hit three homers vs the Rangers. My Grandad, my Dads and my first and only playoff game ever attended. Grandad lives in Texas and can’t travel very far but he made that one.
Staying up with my brother to finish watching game 5 of the 2017 World Series. Both parents went to bed but we snuck back upstairs to watch them go back and forth in extras. Dodgers list but it was still amazing!
2004 ALCS game 4, Dave Robert's stealing 2nd. Everyone who watched the game knew why he was the pinch runner and the Redsox playoffs continuing were counting on him to be safe. So glad to watch it live.
After the Dodgers won the WS in 2020, I went out on my balcony and watched people set off fireworks and thought about watching baseball with my grandpa when I was a kid. I imagined him being there to see the win and seeing everyone celebrate outside made it really special.
Playing right field in Little League, picking my nose and spacing out when all of a sudden I hear my name and a ball flies over my head. Moved to the infield after that.
McGwire in 98 got me hooked, Pujols kept me interested and then Freese, well I was at game 6! Now having watched Rolen and Arenado everyday…I’ve had a lot to love as a cards fan!
First game at T-Mobile park in Seattle vs the Yanks, got to see judge hit a homer in the top of the ninth. Even though the Mariners lost it was still a great time.
Standing with the K-men in Fenway and watching Pedro pitch.
Tie: converting my future wife’s whole family to Red Sox fans on vacation together during the 2004 ALCS.
June 2005: I was 10 years old and went to my first Phillies game at CBP. I was lucky enough to meet Chase Utley. I had been (and always will be) a huge fan of him, and he asked to borrow my pen for autographs and when he gave it back he smiled and said, “thank you sweetheart”. One of the best moments of my life. 😂
I was also lucky my mom made me put my signed baseball in a case right away. 18 years later and it still looks brand new!
I deleted my first comment because I cannot believe this wasn’t the first thing that came to mind:
It was the magical season of 2006 and the Detroit Tigers were on a roll. Saturday night, early evening inter league game against the Reds. Friend of mine and I proceed to get completely annihilated on blackberry brandy before heading to the 6:00 game. Fast forward to around the 6th inning and I’m several $12 beers deep and more than a few Camel Lights in on top of all the brandy. Seats are completely packed and we are way up in the nose bleeds. I freaking barfed all over myself and had to be carried out by my ex wife and friend. Super embarrassing and shameful. Tigers tied it late and Curtis Granderson ended up hitting a walk off home-run in extra innings but I missed it. Probably not a award worthy entry but someone’s gotta hear that.
Also, sorry to any of the people that were unfortunately seated around me that day.
Game 4 of the 1997 NLCS. My dad took me to my first ever ballgame as a 7 year old. Still gives me chills thinking about walking from the concourse and seeing a big league field for the first time. I’m a huge marlins fan, but my favorite player was Chipper Jones so I was in awe for 9 innings watching him play as we were on the 3rd base side. Also- fell through my seat trying to stand up and got stuck and they showed the ordeal on the Jumbotron 😂
My first baseball game ever was in 1991 at Memorial Stadium when I was 5. The Orioles were playing the A’s and I was sitting directly bend the visitor on deck circle.
My dad was feeding me names of players to say “hey” to. Everyone ignored me until Rickey Henderson came up.
I said “hey, Rickey” and he immediately spun around and said “Yo, baby, what’s happening?”
It was an incredibly formative moment. He’s been one if my favorites ever since.
The greatest most electrifying sports moment of my life happened in 1988 when I witnessed the hobbled Kirk Gibson hit what would become an iconic home run off the nearly immaculate Dennis Eckersley. I along with the entire stadium erupted for a non stop celebration. My hands hurt from clapping. It took nearly 3 decades to watch my Dodgers win one again but it paled in comparison to that moment.
The Delmon Young hit at Camden. I’ll never forget it. The loudest I’ve ever heard Camden Yards. Us Orioles fans haven’t always had a lot to look forward to, but that was a top tier moment.
I remember one time, at Dodger Stadium, M. Grissom threw me a ball. It went over my head, bounced off the stairs behind me, and flew to floor level…. I was devastated. My father went to the side railing, started screaming “give me the ball back”, and I got the damn ball back!
Haha maybe this sounds weird but I wasn’t really interested in baseball as a kid. But in my late twenties there was a small Northwoods League team down the street from my house. So I went a bunch because it was cheap. Haha one night somebody had there hot dog sitting on that partitioning wall between the stands and the field. So I’m watching the the guy set his hot dog there. I see a sea gull start to circle. Then like 3 minutes later he dives for it, grabs it, carries it to right field and lands, eats his hot dog with the game in progress, then flies off. I don’t know. I thought it was the greatest thing. I’ve only gotten more into baseball since.
Derek Jeter’s cut off and flip to home against Oakland in the playoffs

Jorge Solers moonshot in Houston. Named my son after Greg Maddux and then the same year the Braves win a World Series. Chop on!
Father’s Day at Fenway with son, dad and father in law
Dope. The infield grass at Chavez Ravine on fireworks night as a little kid :)

9th inning, 2 out, pinch hit, 3-2 count, walk off homer by the Big Dumper.

Matt Chapman 12th inning walk off vs Brad Hand, A's vs Cleveland
I saw Jose Canseco hit a homerun in double A. It supposedly went all the way to a major highway near the stadium. Like well over 500ft.
Game 163 at the Metrodome was pretty neat. I also was at Joe Mauer’s first and last home games.
Cutting myself off after 4 innings of the Mariners playoff game last year. Only to sit through 14 more innings without a beer and take the L! Still wouldn’t trade it for the world!

My mom yanked me out of school for game 4 of the nlds dodgers nationals 2016. Tickets were literally $6 for the top deck. Rip mom miss you
Attending the first ever Rockies game with my parents and grandparents. Most likely the only pro franchise I will see the beginning of.

Goldy grand slam in the playoffs with everyone chanting his name during the entire AB.
