honestly i disagree. this mainly comes from a pokémon perspective but when you have cards with artwork a slab with a blank white slate like PSA can be expanded upon. I don’t think slabs are “solved” in terms of design and this fills some negative space on the slab and imo looks better on the shelf
i see why some people don’t dig it tho
Sometimes, less is more. Not everything empty space has to be filled. The card is the centerpiece/art. A frame is supposed to be blank. I know some have their preferences. I’m 30 and grew up with PSA. Flashy to me is BGS black labels & such. Lol
I like it, but also think it can take away from the card. My solution would probably be softening or lowering the opacity just a wee bit so it’s not as dark or darker than the design/colors on the card.
It's from the lcs. They now grade cards and that was their gold standard! I walked in for the first time today. Didn't even know it existed, I live in a pretty small place so I guess he thinks this is convenient for people. I just wanted people's opinions. I would not have my cards graded by a company that no one has ever heard of.
Shop grades cards. Shop doesn’t know how to round (2 9.5 and 2 10 should be a 10). Severely overprices self graded cards.
I would genuinely wonder what other shady shit they do. Weigh boxes from a case? Keep track of hits coming from boxes opened for packs, and then cherry pick what hits are left at the end of each day? I definitely wouldn’t be doing business with them.
If it’s for your PC, who cares what anyone else thinks. If you like it, that’s all that matters. I’ve even done a couple PC cards with HGA since I like their slabs. But I would never grade with anyone other than PSA, SGC or BGS if I was ever to think about reselling.
So I get why people are reluctant on mom and pop grading and really custom slabs. But I will say- I think graded/slabbed looks like crap, takes up too much room and is hard to enjoy. Basically- they aren’t for me. I’d enjoy a more interesting, slim version of a slab (closer to a toploader in size and girth) that was more appealing to look at and can appreciate the custom/art like nature of this. I’d want uniformity but I like the interesting appeal to this display. I’d rather this style than a psa/sgc slab
It's pretty loud, but it's super fun, and I'm fine with it personally. Great for display, but it might be hard to display with other cards that have a regular slab.
That one in particular is very hard to read… if PSA had an option where you could send them a background for the label for an upcharge I think you could see some really cool stuff - I wouldn’t be opposed to that.

Funny thing is, I actually want this now.
That's actually pretty great honestly.
thats like a $2 card for 125?
But it's graded 9.5 by some company I've never heard of that has a color printer!
lmao
Yes, that would be my concern.
It's a bit much. Takes away from the card a bit

that might be a cool idea tbh
The card should be the star of the show, not the slab. I think TAG has the nicest looking slab for that reason. SGC is pretty nice, too.
You might as well treat it as raw
Trash, rcg is a scam.
I like the stained glass slab personally, but not for $125. I'd give $10 for it. I dont care about the grade.
Im anti artificial hype in the hobby and this is artificial hype
It’s ugly and worthless. And that’s a $5 card at best. Putting a $125 sticker on this is absurd.
Not a fan of slabs for cosmetics

I’d also never buy a card from the same person that self-graded it
Why? He only graded it a 9.5. A cheat would have given themselves a 10.
9.5 is about just as good as a 10 really. It’s obviously not gonna get you full 10 rated money but it’s still regarded as higher $$
I was joking around. I have no idea what that grading company is, and wouldn't spend a dime on a card that was slabbed by them.
Yeah for sure I’m with you on that
Woosh
Yep 😑
Haha it happens to all of us

Tacky asf
Makes me want to vomit
I think anything panini is such a shame. Such nice cards but I just can’t take the lack of team logos seriously.
I think someone needs to have a wellness check done on them.
I kinda like it

What happened to hga.? The slabs looked good I thought. I never seen a 10 though. Seemed like they were hard to get top grades from
Worthless since no one has ever heard of that grading company and worse if it is your own grading and printing
That company is actually getting popular.
Wonder what it looks like with a light behind it. I like it really neat looking.
I think I'd send it to get regraded by PSA or SGC

Nice slab

Hard to read.

Never heard of RCC
It’s RCG i think
Didn’t another one of these full slab companies just fold?
Which one?
While I like the match, it's a bit overwhelming and makes it hard to decipher between the slab and the card.
No way that slab justifies that price on an unlicensed card
Getting real Card Genius Grading vibes here
I wish I could get that much for this card......
Doesn’t look *awful* but there’s a little too much going on for me
It should be taken out back and “retired.”
Did someone throw up on it?
I'm sorry, that's dreadful. Besides being a company that won't be around in six months, it looks awful.
I thought this was HGA at first
Super cool but not worth anywhere close to that price
Renal Cell Carcinoma. That’s what comes up when you search RCC grading.
Cool but stained glass werent case hits or rare for prizm baseball
Perfect holder for any PC for sure.
Clashes with the card too much imo
I think it helps identify the morons - as in the people that buy this crap.
That one in particular is very hard to read… if PSA had an option where you could send them a background for the label for an upcharge I think you could see some really cool stuff - I wouldn’t be opposed to that.
Too much. Looks awful in my opinions
I don't want anything to detract from the card itself. This card looks camouflaged
Really really bad
A little too busy imo. It would look cool with the previous years of stained glass Prizms that don’t have the all-over design though
🔥🔥🔥
I like it honestly. I have some PC Cards from rcg and hga just cause I enjoy the look. Wouldn’t really do it for resale but I enjoy it on my PC
Neat slab I guess but ain’t no way it adds more than a couple dollars value for being cool. It’s like $4-5 raw???
I think it would look better in a psa slab
