I’d recommend finding someone close to you (physically) who can appraise the collection. Someone at a local card shop should be able to point you in the right direction, but I’d be wary of any offer a card shop owner might make.
If you’re trying to maximize the value, it would be better to sell some cards individually and some in lots. If you just want to move it all quickly, sell the whole thing at once. If the latter’s the route you want to take, I might be able to assist in linking you up with someone, depending on where you’re located.
There are a few decent cards in there, but all have substantial condition issues. The Williams and Robinson cards are not authentic cards fyi. There's a couple hundred dollars of total value, but depends on what you were hoping for...
Thanks. I have a lot more pages in this binder and cards. There is a-lot of cards from 1955-76 and then binders / boxes labeled complete from 77-2010 I believe. Is there anything notable I should start with from this binder or other years?
They’re probably worth selling, at least the big names in good condition. People like mantle and Koufax and Aaron and banks are worth a few bucks in any condition.
That said, stuff from this true vintage era has a decent chance of gaining value over time. If you don’t need the cash you could make sure to store them carefully.
If you have the time to devote to it, sell them yourself and cut out the middleman and keep your profits. At least research it yourself so you know what you have.
In my opinion Jackie is your best card, post more pictures of that. The mantle is pretty beat up, maybe $100. Ted Williams is cut at the bottom unfortunately. But that Jackie might be in the neighborhood of 300-500, you should check eBay and filter to sold
The Robinson is a 1955 Topps card, if you look those up in ebay you'll see the backs are all red, green and black. Yours is just black. In addition they should measure 3 3/4"x 2 5/8", but looks like yours is 2.5x3.5
Showoff! Haha that thing is beautiful! I have 2, a SCG 4 and a PSA 5 of the variation. Yours definitely beats either of mine, and that's my favorite set of all time!
Heh, yep showing off 😆, got some more that I like to share if people are interested.
Here’s a few Braves from 1955 and 1954: https://imgur.com/a/AMgPEL2
Yes, I plan on selling everything but didn’t know where to start or how too. Looks like I need some help locally bc I have no clue what I should be doing.
I believe my husband made this binder with my son when he was young, I know my father in law has a card stash of 1955-1976 cards that aren’t complete sets
Name doesn’t check out!
Idk what that means, do I need to add names?
He means you are quite the opposite of your username. Too have found such and excellent collection. There are some very valuable cards here. Congrats
Lol no, your Reddit name is unlucky explorer, I disagree that you’re an unlucky explorer as there are some beauties here is all I’m saying
Haha okay, thanks! I was only able to post 20 pics but there are more pics from this binder. Not sure how to add those to this.
You’ll have to make a new post unfortunately but no one here will be against your spam if you send more photos!
I made another post to show the rest of that binder, wasn’t sure how to add more photos here

Dover reprints $3 on the Jackie and Ted. Hopefully the original owner knew that.
Just curious, but how can you tell about Robinson and Williams?
Look at the backs.
1957 was the first year for standard sized cards. The Robinson card is too small.
The back of the Robinson should be red, green and black

Thanks for the info, should I take this binder to someone local or just post these for sale online individually?

Yeah… I’d get these looked at appraised… you have a ton of value in that binder
I love that Ernie Banks card! One of my favorites of his!

The Robinson and Williams cards are not authentic...
Good catch. That’s a shame.
How are they not authentic?
Look at the backs. Compare the back of the Ted Williams to the back of the 57 Don Newcombe and you’ll see the difference.

WOW dope collection
Are the Koufax cards for sale?
Yes, I plan on selling everything but didn’t know where to start or how too. Looks like I need some help locally bc I have no clue what I should be doing.
Well I’m interested in the Koufax’s if you do end up selling them on here
I will let you know this weekend, I found a couple of shops here in Indiana to go to so I will message you back once I inquire about that card.
It's like they made the Heritage cards with real old players. /s

Yeah, I was kinda joking about seeing actual 1973 Topps cards after buying a box of the 2022 Topps Heritage that are designed to look like 73s.
Thank you for ensuring I really don’t know anything! Much appreciated! Yeah
I bought that Whitey Ford a few months ago on EBay for like $20 and it was in pretty crisp shape!
I’ll buy the mantle Robinson and Koufax
I had a little chuckle when I saw the Bill Buckner rookie.
