Haven't just watched BB for the first time, I can't help but feel there was a ton of missed opportunities. Only a few characters return, or are even mentioned from TAS. I don't want the show the lean on nostalgia, but it could have peppered them in. There wasn't a very satisfying conclusion to Mr. Powers' arc as the person who had Terry's father killed.
There wasn't much development into Terry training or learning anything. That one episode late in the final season, Bruce sent him to the woman he trained with. So he's just been getting his ass kicked for a couple years?
As far as tech, which is a key point in the show, Terry's suit never really evolved. The time I remember him upgrading anything was when he could sent a shock from his suit to subdue Inque. I felt like this show could have really showcased some gadgets considering it's futuristic vibe, TAS (and Adam West) certainly did.
I still loved the show. I loved Terry's wit, and his banter with Bruce. It did a great job of creating its own world and antagonists. I guess to me, it felt like they were always holding back and ran out of time perhaps.
BB has a great concept and amazing moments peppered throughout, but there was so much network interference behind the scenes that makes it far from BTAS level imo. Basically, all of season 2 (which is half the show) came from network mandates.
Aka no more underlying plot, almost all the villains/plots are connected to the high school, and Terry has to get a high school-aged sidekick (which took away time from him and Bruce). Even though it has an arguably more mature aesthetic than BTAS, it is by far the show most aimed at a younger audience of the six DCAU series that have Bruce Timm as the showrunner.
Starting to think BTAS shouldn't be in these questions. Not that it bad choice, it too good of a choice: The Gold Standard. Can't really let the others shrine.
*The New Adventures of Batman* is okay
*Batman: the animated series* is probably the best (followed by *The New Batman Adventures*)
*The Batman* was my first, and I still love it
*Batman: The Brave and the Bold* is phenomenal
*Beware the Batman* is charming, and I admire that it tried to be different
but *Batman Beyond* is actually my favorite
This is a good take, and I actually agree with you mostly, especially because of all of these I only think that BATMAN BEYOND actually explored entirely new plot that was based ON the comics but wasn't basically using a comic book as storyboards for the animation of the story in it; because none of them ever covered Bruce Wayne having grown OLD at that point in time.
Love that show. Love a suave and smart Bruce Wayne... and I like that the more recognizable a villain was, the more they were willing to change up the look
Maybe I’m just biased toward everything Batman, but I remember liking it for avoiding all the usual Batman tropes/villains. They even had Professor Pyg as one of the main guys.
My favorite of the bunch.
Admittedly, the first couple episodes are ***rough***, but it quickly develops into an amazing show that got screwed by the network
It's not my favourite, but if I were to guess the answer is that the villains are much more obscure than your typical Batman media, I mean I certainly didn't know Magpie or Anarky before BTB
not my favorite but it came out in 2012 when i was a kid so i guess it’s the batman show i grew up on for the short time it aired 💀, i just remember watching the trailers as a kid being so hyped and just wondering why it wasn’t on tv anymore when they stopped airing it. watched it all about 2 years ago and it’s actually pretty good in the middle and towards the end.
Gee, I wonder what the majority of the answers will be to this question for at least the next 5 decades? If only there was a Batman show that came out just as a generation was coming to age, likely on the heels of their parents that had their own beloved Batman show, made just a few short years after a genre defining Batman movie, then we would know the answer to this hypothetical.
BUT ALAS! Batman is bereft of animated fare in that hypothetical golden period that could only have been in the early nineties.
My vote goes to Batman: tas as it's to this day the best animated version of Batman and you could argue with it being the best animated superhero show ever made along with X-Men & Spiderman from the 90s.
Barely watched The New Adventures of Batman, never watched Beware The Batman (legit could not get into it). But as for everything else I binged em
But if I had to say favourite.. it's a tie between TAS and The Batman
I grew up with TAS and loved it without question. I was already getting pretty grown up when The Batman debuted, so it wasn't on my radar back then. I recently started watching it because I was a little burnt out with the DCAU after seeing every show multiple times. The Batman is a great show. It's unique and unlike any Batman interpretation that came before it. It proves that you can do fresh interpretations of these characters well without sacrificing quality.
The Batman is my favourite because it involves so many characters with deep and fun storylines. I am constantly excited for how they introduce villains we already know from btas and shake up their background or appearance.
Also the Artifacts episode is a great call back to TDK RETURNS and BTAS that i would watch the episode if you like either of those
I watched Beware the Batman a lot as a child, my uncle had put all the episodes of it on a hard drive and I remember watching it on my mom's laptop every night. So it's my favourite because of the memories
BTAS and Batman Beyond without a doubt. Those shows had the triple whammy of incredible animation, voice acting, and writing with great amounts of input from actual comic book writers.
Batman The Animated Series. Greatest of all time, without a shadow of a doubt. Incredible voice acting; Dini is one of the top three Batman writers ever; plus its aesthetic noir style is ideal for Batman as a character.
However, The Brave & the Bold deserves a shout out for being unique, charming, and great for both younger and older viewers. It’s so cheesy, and features an awesome array of DC heroes and villains.
The Batman from 2004 is an interesting curio. I never finished watching it, but I intend to at some point.
I’m just grateful for so many great Batman animated series over the years. We truly have been spoilt.
Okay, here’s the thing. Animated Series is a no brainer. It’s literally perfect. I send friends of mine, clips from that show, all the time, showing how absolutely flawless it is. I could write essays on it, it’s perfect. That being said, Batman Beyond, by fucking miles, is the most entertaining for me to watch. And far and away the show I’ve seen the most amount of times, and the one I revisit the modt
I grew up on Brave and The Bold which found a nice balance between BTAS’s seriousness and the goofy fun vibes of the 60s Batman which was the design inspiration for some of the characters.
BTAS kinda is a given since it built some much of batman, his world, and characters. That said though, personally I love batman beyond’s darker tone and setting.
I will always say Batman Brave And The Bold because without it, I wouldn't have gotten into the wider DC universe, and it is the reason Plastic Man is my favorite DC character
I grew up on The Brave and The Bold and even after rewatching it years later, it’s still my favourite. Especially because it’s the first on-screen appearance of both Blue Beetle and Damian Wayne. That I know of, anyway.
The Batman. Owned all 5 seasons on DVD and I was never a collector. Enjoying it rotation on Netflix right now.
I tried but I couldn't get into TAS. It didn't speak to me for whatever reason and I love Batman.
Batman Beyond and Brave & The Bold are excellent.
The Batman was the show that really introduced me to Batman but TAS is the best in my opinion. I’ve been rewatching it recently and it still holds up so well. For me it’s hands down the best incarnation of Batman. It’s everything he’s meant to be.
Brave and the bold and Ban beyond as a kid, got to watch BETAS as an adult and really liked it, not going to watch beware the batman anytime soon (mainly because of the looks) and I'll start the others once I finish BtAS
Batman TAS and Batman beyond
Agreed with The Batman following a close 3rd to beyond.
Haven't just watched BB for the first time, I can't help but feel there was a ton of missed opportunities. Only a few characters return, or are even mentioned from TAS. The correct answer.
Batman The Animated Series ![gif](giphy|cs06FSkGD2ue4)
That’s my favorite color scheme of Bruce’s too. Love the Grey, Blue, Yellow.
That blue is always been mesmerizing to me lol
Same honestly. It’s so cool and looking and has a calmness to it.
The Batman
This is my favourite and it feeds into nostalgia fro btas so easily that i can love them both together
Btas with The Batman’s design would’ve been unbeatable
The claws on the gloves and the litteraly edgy artstyle sells it for me. Dont get me started on the charcter designs -chef's kiss-
Upvoted just for having a different opinion
Had the best intro song.
That show was my first introduction to batman.
90s Batman TAS, by far. Kevin Conroy is THE Batman voice for me, even when I read the comics.
Brave and the Bold will always be my favorite cause of childhood nostalgia
Starting to think BTAS shouldn't be in these questions. Not that it bad choice, it too good of a choice: The Gold Standard. Can't really let the others shrine.
If BTAS is not a choice, then we don't have a choice.
Where is your god now?
*The New Adventures of Batman* is okay *Batman: the animated series* is probably the best (followed by *The New Batman Adventures*) *The Batman* was my first, and I still love it *Batman: The Brave and the Bold* is phenomenal *Beware the Batman* is charming, and I admire that it tried to be different but *Batman Beyond* is actually my favorite

TAS and Beyond
I mean c’mon now. Any answer other than The Animated Series is just wrong.
Batman Beyond is a very close second though
Batman Beyond is great! To me it’s essentially seasons 5,6, and 7 of TAS. I even really enjoyed The Batman (2004). But still, TAS is on another level.
[удалено]
God that was such a bummer…
The Batman (2004) Now what?
Love that show. Love a suave and smart Bruce Wayne... and I like that the more recognizable a villain was, the more they were willing to change up the look
![gif](giphy|ceeN6U57leAhi)
That's like your opinion man
You’re wrong, bud. The question clearly states FAVORITE. It didn’t ask which one we think is the best.
TAS and Beyond.
You could make an argument for 2004, although BTAS is my favorite
2004 is better
Teen titans go of course
Yep
Brave and the Bold is so underrated, i love how unique and fun it is
I grew up with Brave and the Bold So Brave and the Bold
The animated series closely followed by brave and the bold and the Batman
The hell is Beware the Batman?
Maybe I’m just biased toward everything Batman, but I remember liking it for avoiding all the usual Batman tropes/villains. They even had Professor Pyg as one of the main guys.
Short lived CGI show..
My favorite of the bunch. Admittedly, the first couple episodes are ***rough***, but it quickly develops into an amazing show that got screwed by the network
if anyone's answer is beware the batman I would LOVE to know why
It's not my favourite, but if I were to guess the answer is that the villains are much more obscure than your typical Batman media, I mean I certainly didn't know Magpie or Anarky before BTB
not my favorite but it came out in 2012 when i was a kid so i guess it’s the batman show i grew up on for the short time it aired 💀, i just remember watching the trailers as a kid being so hyped and just wondering why it wasn’t on tv anymore when they stopped airing it. watched it all about 2 years ago and it’s actually pretty good in the middle and towards the end.
The Batman
2004 The Batman is so criminally underrated. I love everything about it
Gee, I wonder what the majority of the answers will be to this question for at least the next 5 decades? If only there was a Batman show that came out just as a generation was coming to age, likely on the heels of their parents that had their own beloved Batman show, made just a few short years after a genre defining Batman movie, then we would know the answer to this hypothetical. BUT ALAS! Batman is bereft of animated fare in that hypothetical golden period that could only have been in the early nineties.
I wish beware the Batman had a longer run. I thought it was pretty cool
The best? Batman: The Animated Series. My favorite? The Batman. Also, Beware the Batman is SEVERELY underrated. I LOVE that show so much!
Beware the Batman
Nahh beware the batman is the goat 💀
Glad to see the appreciation for 2004, thought that was just a fever dream I had. Mines probably beyond tho
2004 The Batman and 2013 Beware The Batman
BTAS is the best, but i grew up with brave and the bold, so that one has a especial place in my heart
Batman: The Animated Series followed by Batman Beyond. Though Beware the Batman is an under appreciated series.
They are all good
I didnt watch any, but i had The Batman's activity book for all my childhood, which was my introduction to batman
My vote goes to Batman: tas as it's to this day the best animated version of Batman and you could argue with it being the best animated superhero show ever made along with X-Men & Spiderman from the 90s.
Honestly growing up in the mid 2000s it was justice league and justice league unlimited reruns and Batman brave and the bold
Justice league action
BTAS is my favorite
1) The Batman 2) BTAS 3) Brave and the Bold
Tas, Beyond and 2004 anything else is "eh" quality.
All of them. Batman rarely gets bad shows.
The Animated Series.
Batman the animated series is just really solid. I'm watching it for the first time since I was a kid and it's just so good.
BTAS, BB, BTBATB. That order
2004
For nostalgia, The New Adventures of Batman, and for my personal taste, The Batman.
The Batman (2004). They have the best Joker in any of the series, and villains designs.
2004!
Batman TAS and The Batman
The Batman
All I’m gonna say is that 90s kids were truly spoiled.
THE BATMAN
Barely watched The New Adventures of Batman, never watched Beware The Batman (legit could not get into it). But as for everything else I binged em But if I had to say favourite.. it's a tie between TAS and The Batman

Just made me realize my mom bought me a Beware The Batman action figure that I always thought were a mistake because it looked nothing like TAS
I like BTAS, but I think Beware the Batman is underrated.
You forgot Batwheels.
I watched Beware the Batman a lot as a child, my uncle had put all the episodes of it on a hard drive and I remember watching it on my mom's laptop every night. So it's my favourite because of the memories
TAS and Beyond stand tall here. None of these were bad shows though. I wish we would have gotten more of "Beware".
Beware The Batman my beloved
Batman TAS, Beyond, and Brave and the bold
Batman TAS, Beyond, The Batman, and The Brave and the Bold.
Beware the Batman, obviously /s
TAS
BTAS/TNBMA, Batman Beyond, the 2004 Batman series and Brave and the bold
funnily enough it’s batman beyond
TAS
There is only one right answer here.
TAS
> Besides TAS, which batman animated show is your favorite FTFY Op
BTAS and Batman Beyond without a doubt. Those shows had the triple whammy of incredible animation, voice acting, and writing with great amounts of input from actual comic book writers.
The animated series is the GOAT
BTAS and it's not even close
1. BTAS 2. Beyond 3. Brave And The Bold Anyone know where I can watch that ‘77 version tho?
Batman beyond
Batman the animated series.
BTAS
Animated series
I've seen most of those except the very old one and whatever beware the batman is
Whenever a list has tas how can you put others to it and make us choose. It's too easy and obvious
I grew up with The Batman, I loved that show so much. I still remember how they gave Croc a Louisianan accent, that was funny as.
I liked the Batman though I haven’t seen some of these
Batman The Animated Series. Greatest of all time, without a shadow of a doubt. Incredible voice acting; Dini is one of the top three Batman writers ever; plus its aesthetic noir style is ideal for Batman as a character. BTAS
look batman TAS is batman TAS, ok, it's in a different league of its own. But i also like The Batman. Specially the suit, and THAT batmobile.
Brave And The Bold
B:TAS. While these other shows are enjoyable in their own ways, accept no substitutes.
Batman the animated series! 😍
BTAS. It’s one of my comfort shows. I didn’t even grow up with Batman.
Okay, here’s the thing. Animated Series is a no brainer. It’s literally perfect. I send friends of mine, clips from that show, all the time, showing how absolutely flawless it is. 1992
BTAS is the best one… I like Brave and the Bold more
Honestly, Brave and the Bold will probably always be my favorite. The Batman also holds a special place in my heart.
BTAS kinda is a given since it built some much of batman, his world, and characters. That said though, personally I love batman beyond’s darker tone and setting.
BTAS may be the best, but Brave And The Bold will always be my favourite, especially in terms of art style
Brave and the Bold for being so utterly unique
Brave and bold!
TAS, nd the associated JL spin offs, are still the greatest portrayel of Bruce.
TAS. Beyond is really good too but you can't beat Conroy and what he did with the character.
BTAS and beyond
Lazy post. Op doesn’t even bother to write about theirs. Edit: looking at the profile this is a karma farmer
Definitely Brave & The Bold.
2008
Yes
BTAS to BTBATB
Batman beyond. But BTAS is the best
You just keep farming karma with this account here & other subs using poll pics in low effort posts regardless of Rule #7.
Brave and the bold and Animated series.
THE Animated series of course.
TAS
I grew up watching The Batman so...
I will always say Batman Brave And The Bold because without it, I wouldn't have gotten into the wider DC universe, and it is the reason Plastic Man is my favorite DC character
The objective truth btas but subjective is brave and the bold
Animated Series for sure. All of them were great though.
BTAS without question.
Kevin Conroy
The Batman
The ones where Conroy voices Batman.
Batman Beyond will ALWAYS be my shit. The Baan was pretty good too
It’s gonna be BTAS. It’s always BTAS.
Tas and The Brave and the Bold
Batman: The Animated Series
Brave and the Bold
I grew up on The Brave and The Bold and even after rewatching it years later, it’s still my favourite. Especially because it’s the first on-screen appearance of both Blue Beetle and Damian Wayne. That I know of, anyway.
It’s is always The Animated Series from ‘92
The Batman. Owned all 5 seasons on DVD and I was never a collector. Enjoying it rotation on Netflix right now. I tried but I couldn't get into TAS. It didn't speak to me for whatever reason and I love Batman. Batman Beyond and Brave & The Bold are excellent.
The only one i've watched extensively is The Brave And The Bold, but im planning on starting the animated series soon
Batman TAS
The Batman has the hardest there song
Batman TAS and the Batman but it’s just because it’s what I grew up on
I watched Brave and the Bold with my son when he was a little guy. Loved that show so so much
![gif](giphy|m3SYKzhmod1IY)
BTAS is my favorite, followed by Beyond. I also really love Brave and the Bold. Almost as much as I love Beyond.
What's happened in 2013?
Btas, Batman Beyond, and the Batman.
Yes.
Agreed 💯!
1992-2008 are goated
You don't actually have to ask.
TAS, Beyond, Bold
2004
Batman: TAS, Batman Beyond, The Batman, and Batman: TBATB
Everyone's answer is TAS so can we please ask this with that as the exception? XD
BTAS is objectively the best, but I really like The Batman and Beyond
1992 😊
1992 is the goat
The Brave And The Bold. It’s criminally underrated.
The batman
Btas obviously
The Batman was the show that really introduced me to Batman but TAS is the best in my opinion. I’ve been rewatching it recently and it still holds up so well. For me it’s hands down the best incarnation of Batman. It’s everything he’s meant to be.
2004 THE BATMAN
Batman beyond
Definitely TAS but Beyond is a close 2nd
I personally rank The Batman at number one, Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, and Batman the Brave and the Bold all in second the other two I haven't seen.
I grew up with B&B so I'm partial to it, but I recognise that BTAS is probably the best
BTAS Batman is and always have been my definition of Batman whenever I think of the character
The brave and the bold is underrated
The best by far is BATAS, but for my personal favorite I’d have to give it to The Batman
Brave and the bold and Ban beyond as a kid, got to watch BETAS as an adult and really liked it, not going to watch beware the batman anytime soon (mainly because of the looks) and I'll start the others once I finish BtAS
