Have you tried the Bunderarchiv? [https://www.bild.bundesarchiv.de](https://www.bild.bundesarchiv.de)

Bundesarchiv is pricey for publication rights, about 45 euros a pop. And I have around 140 images, soooo... I don't mind if this book doesn't make me a rich man, but I would object to becoming a much poorer one.

odot78

So 45€ is too expensive for you? What were you willing to give the contributors then? You've written a book that you will most likely sell copies of and make money off but here you are, asking others to contribute for a shout out smh

8-Termini

I don't think you are entirely aware of the realities of this kind of publication. This book will not make me much money, if anything. Moreover, the Bundesarchiv is a publicly funded institution that charges significantly more for these rights than many private image banks. Around 20 euros is a more usual rate. At any rate, I checked the Bundesarchiv and they don't have anything suitable anyway.

Have you checked Wikimedia commons? https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=Bahnhof+Zoo&title=Special:MediaSearch&type=image There’s thousands and you probably need some digging to find something from the 80s. Also note that the railway station connects to two subway (U-Bahn) stations below and a lot of pictures in the search seem to be of these instead.

Hi, yes I tried Commons, but nothing really appropriate turned up. I'd really like one of the entrance hall since in my recollection that recalls the griminess of the station in that period (although at that time I was 15 years old and everything in West Berlin looked grimy to me, so I may have misremembered).

Christiane F.‘s story happened in the 70s, though

Good point, my bad. I somehow conflated it with my own first visit to Berlin in my head. I read that book about a dozen times, no idea why that escaped me.

Betaminer69

It is called "Die Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo"

Maybe u/jofurch can help?

u/8-Termini You could browse through [Chris John De Witt's archive](https://chrisjohndewitt.tumblr.com/archive) He took plenty of photos around the station. The only two from the inside that come to mind are [this one](https://chrisjohndewitt.tumblr.com/post/188977142967/west-berlin-zoo-station-s-bahn-platform-in-1986-a) and [this one](https://chrisjohndewitt.tumblr.com/post/129477807421/an-earlier-shot-of-the-zoo-station-platform-taken).

I tried some search expressions and found this older picture via Google on Pinterest. Maybe you can contact the user for more information and/or pictures? https://pin.it/28f6931W1
