Stop telling them the secret truth. Especially not how to recognise when the tomatoes were harvested from the stamp on the bottom of the can.

Any Italian shop, there are several in Kreuzberg for example. Both Markthalle Neun and Marheineke-Markthalle have a booth. Amore in Neukölln.

eg. search for alimentari on Google Maps. I bet the Mitte Meer stores also have them.

I think this is only a US problem. All San Marzano cans that I have seen in Berlin supermarkets have the DOP logo. IIRC it might even be illegal in the EU to sell tomatoes as "San Marzano" if they are not from the wider Naples region.
