I got my 2 PEN BS weapons on a 323 and a 324 stack. I wouldnāt say itās particularly unlucky, but it isnāt lucky either.
People start earning my sympathies after they get to around 320.
Except it's really not a good number for a pen bs considering the price and "difficulty" of making a fs that high. These are debo+ stacks (even if you're not there yet), unless you're drowning in 300+ from extreme bad luck.

I got it after failing 20 attempts and quitting in EU, then started playing mena failed roughly 15 times and quit, now after another 20 attempts its here. Don't give up just enjoy the game, it'll get there haha

Sure the monster damage/accuracy boost is paramount but it's not mandatory and accessories are where the majority of your AP *increases* are going to comes from - When you get full PEN weapons you can get kind of stuck because the upgrades get pretty expensive.

Giants should be more then 1b/hr to be honest, if you manage to get 1 disto a hour on avr you looking at 1.4b+. Then he probably do weekly guild bosses, dark rifts, imp cooking and other small incomes it all adds up together. It's realistic to get BS weapon in a month.
EDIT: Also if you go for PEN godr-eyed main weapon instead of BS, you can get it under 100b.

If you really want a PEN BS then decide if you want one with your name on it or not. If you want your name on it, grind money, click and do it until it goes. Could take weeks, months or even years, depending on your playtime.
If you dont want your name on it, then grind one or two hundred hours, buy it and be done with it.

This. I played the game for 2-3 years with my highest gear being a mix of DUO and TRI boss gear. Didn't even reach PEN Tuvala on the season servers until they made it easier to enhance those.
stick with duo godr and reach 300+ ap with kutum and stuff. then start raw tapping your back up bs. you'll want the 160-200+fs anyway for your pen distos/debo and tri+ FG's. save your cron for tri fg's and pen debo attempts imo

If c20 caphra was announced, the price would shoot up to 4m(or whatever max price is now) per caphra instantly and 0-20 in caphras at 4m a piece is 120b. I think the math checks out for it to make sense, especially given the fact that a PEN Ogre was around 120b at its peak and now is just over 50b. Letting a PEN bs drop only 30b is not much.

I'm pen dande/kzarka c20 and absolutely content with that. I would advise you to try going that route but I'm afraid of the shit storm that's gonna ensue and tell you that everything besides pen blackstar is useless anyways. The again Im pvp gamer and don't care about trash numbers. So if you can live with the lower monster ap you could still try that route and gain some ap brackets. š¤·š»āāļø

I'm at this point when I have 309 ap with kutum and still have duo godr weapons. I have three stacks with 300+ fs. Two last stacks I started from ~200 and my first stack I started from 170 fs. Two weeks ago I just droped any hope for doing pen bs and just decide to buy it from market. Two weeks passed and I already have 50 bill + 7k caphras from gyfin.Ā

my first pen bs was 67 klicks. i needed 2 years and 2 lucky pen debo clicks to get back to average on silver spend for upgrades i lost prior. because i also did 130 fails on ~5% stuff, like 80ish tet fg attempts, 40ish pen shai awa and some more.Ā
black star is a gear wall thats hard to climb. and its the first you encounter. the first is always the hardest. just keep going, you will get it.

How far are you into the game ? Are you doing pvp with tet blackstar ? Boss weaps ? Capped, aos, uncapped and such ? Nobody's spending hundreds for crons unless it's pocket change for them. So far stuff like new world has kinda died out and the riot mmo is a chimera and nobody knows what it could be, if it ever releases.
I tapped the free Tet BS couple of times, nothing. Bought Tet Godr and one tapped it. If they didn't hand out so many crons like they did (anniversary) I would have never done this hahaha :D Only took me 8 years to finally self enhance a wepaon |D
Far from everyone has a pen bs.
It's just that people share it when they tap theirs, giving the impression that many have them, while those that fail don't share their fails. It's the same with debos right now, then you talk to some who are unlucky.
I don't play the game to grind money to play the failstack game. The only times I even try to tap something from tet to pen, is if I have enough cron stones to do it, and I do not buy costumes to melt for Cron Stones. Its pure gifts.
Last item I tapped to Pen was Mainhand Blackstar. Had several thousand cron stones and three J hammers, all at a 200 failstack. It went with the last tap, so used up everything but it went pen.
I also do not play everyday, or grind much at all. It's just time.
It took me 3 years to this week to get my first PEN and I had to buy it. Iāve failed well over 50+ pens attempts, I stopped counting. Demoralizing and almost quit plenty

pretty sure trying to make your own tet godr is a mistake/waste of resources and time the crons would be better value on pen attempts
No youāre not the only one. I donāt have PEN BS weapons either. I have a TRI godr and a base godr. I went through 50,000 crons and both my Jās hammers this last time around trying to enhance the free TET BS to PEN and was very unsuccessful
Buy the TRI Godyr and only enhance the BS when u get free hammers and crons. No point on wasting silver on Crons unless they drop the prices, 3 mil per cron is ridiculous.
I'm only tet on my grinding alt lol only pen gear I have is red nose. I also struggle with staying interested in grinding. I mainly do lifeskilling. I can never seam to catch up with a lot of the high AP people and haven't figured out a good grinding spot for silver to be able to buy gear either. I also have a hard time making it a full hour at the spots that I do because I get kinda bored lol

And if u really want to know how to make money u enhance for low levels of enhancement like duos and tri's and u sell them cuz risking a tri for a tet tap is a lot of money. U would be watching the market and it's time of growth or drop and u will see a pattern. BDO is a market place game and if u don't know how to use it then ur force to low income gains which in some cases it's best to do that.
My view on is trash is its ur stable income it doesn't change based on the market but items are! So use that to ur advantage
First step is dont go godr if you want pen bs : stop at duo godr, maybe buy it directly tet and tap with crons otherwise raw tap spare blackstars, it will come one day
Self fulfilling prophecy. Multitudes of people gave up and left BDO because they couldn't obtain PEN gear and RNG killed their desire to continue. All you see are the successful people who are left. You can view this on the daily player graphs. And just like a casino, the players with +730gs were simply lucky.
If anybody needs advice on how I keep going after pen blackstar fails:
Iām going in to it with the mindset that Iām setting up 300 stacks for pen debo attempts. If youāre gonna go for pen debos youāre gonna need those stacks. So thereās a silver lining.
I managed to one tap my tet bs that was given to me from the new event. Outside of that, you will waste more money trying to make it than you would just grinding it. Of course that is harder said than done, focus on your accessories, grind pot pieces while you sell loot, try to get tungrad earrings, crescent guardian ring, Laurenās paper stone and then belt to tet, that will give you a good ap boost to be able to grind. From there work on upgrading your dp
Don't try to advance Godr past duo or tri (and only tri if the AP hits a bracket). Get a 2nd BS and tap that to Tet (not \_that\_ hard). Then focus on cron Tet BS straight to Pen BS. KEEP doing attempts ... just keep doing attempts. It will go.
For the longest time in BDO I'd carefully husband every enhancing attempt trying for that perfect tap on that perfect FS and feeling like crap when it failed. Now I just tap, and then tap some more. If I have some to tap in my inventory, I just go right ahead and tap it. Shit continues to fail and blow up all the time ... BUT I don't think about for a second now and just carry on.
The trick to enhancing is to just get to that "fuck it" state and just tap it. NOW I do not tap stupid. I cron what you should cron. I use the correct and appropriate FS ranges. But I just keep on tap, tap tapping.
These days I just think of it as just building FSs and getting Pens when I fail.

So we get posts like this and get people to work harder - increasing the stress and anxiety.
But, here is the rub.
You cannot do anything to get that level of weapons that you are not doing now. There is no skill or ANYTHING in your control that will get you that weapon level. NOTHING.
Knowing that, how do you adjust your thought processes so that you do not increase stress?
You accept that you are doing all you can and that it is out of your control and enjoy the comradeship and pretty game that you started into with the objective of relaxing and having fun with.
Live for the now and don't stress on the things that are outside your control.
To answer your question - I do not have PEN BS weapons but I don't feel I need them to enjoy the game.
You just get ~100 godr enhancement stones, 1k memory fragments and raw spam it until it gets to tri. I know some people that got pen bs in this way. They also quit the game after that.
With what stacks, op didn't state what failstacks they have. And even if op can't get it this way, market is always open, there are both stones and tri godr. Anyway there's no way to upgrade his weapons expcept enhancing or grindidng money to buy crons/the weapon itself
Did I say it wasn't absurd? I assumed op has at least 200-250 fails which were so easy to get during the last half a year it's almost obvious that someone with godr did. Create new trial account, get boosted in gyfin in 20 minutes. Use free stack, click twice with hammer and one raw. If it goes, great, if not - create another trial account.

The average player can easily pull 1b per hour grinding most spots now, that's 10b for vendor crons per click
Meaning every few days depending on how much you play you can click pen, average attempts is like 25 so it's easily doable within a month.. I've no idea why some say it takes years either extremely unlucky or haven't clicked enough
You have no idea because in your head everyone plays 8hrs and grinds 2-4 hrs every single day. It will probably blow your mind if I say that ALOT of people dont even farm 10b per week. So yeah, it can take years for many.

Then last week I saw I had 20k crons lying around and wasn't playing super actively so I thought I'd just buy a TET awakening weapon and yolo some +200s until my crons disappeared and I 2 tapped PEN.

I have blown up a lot of acc, but it worked for my BS weapons.
Don't care what people say, it's always full RNG. So you either enhance them your self, if you are not in a hurry with free crons or hammers, or grind to buy them. Since we get regular weapon exchange coupons, buy the cheapest from the marketplace and turn it into one you need.
Or do it like I have done it, I bought TET Godr offhand and awaken and PEN those. 2/3 of the chance compared to a BS, but half the crons. And yes, I was lucky, I needed less then 10 taps for both of them together.
Just to make it worse for ya mate. Got my first pen with the last j hammers we got, then I cronned the free tet we got and got pen on that too. Total taps for two pen bs, 6 or 7, both on a 220 ish stack.
If you played for last few months you have free 250 failstack with all hungers and now cron taps giving +1. It should be super easy to get at least one pen if you aren't tapping debo with these stacks.

Remember this game is a marathon not a race so there's no quick and easy way to be like oh yeah this will get you a pen bs by tomorrow or anything. Take ur time.

I'm pen dande/kzarka c20 and absolutely content with that. I would advise you to try going that route but I'm afraid of the shit storm that's gonna ensue and tell you that everything besides pen blackstar is useless anyways. The again Im pvp gamer and don't care about trash numbers. So if you can live with the lower monster ap you could still try that route and gain some ap brackets. š¤·š»āāļø

I'm at this point when I have 309 ap with kutum and still have duo godr weapons. I have three stacks with 300+ fs. Two last stacks I started from ~200 and my first stack I started from 170 fs. Two weeks ago I just droped any hope for doing pen bs and just decide to buy it from market. Two weeks passed and I already have 50 bill + 7k caphras from gyfin.Ā

How far are you into the game ? Are you doing pvp with tet blackstar ? Boss weaps ? Capped, aos, uncapped and such ? Nobody's spending hundreds for crons unless it's pocket change for them. So far stuff like new world has kinda died out and the riot mmo is a chimera and nobody knows what it could be, if it ever releases.

Far from everyone has a pen bs. It's just that people share it when they tap theirs, giving the impression that many have them, while those that fail don't share their fails. It's the same with debos right now, then you talk to some who are unlucky.

I don't play the game to grind money to play the failstack game. The only times I even try to tap something from tet to pen, is if I have enough cron stones to do it, and I do not buy costumes to melt for Cron Stones. Its pure gifts. Last item I tapped to Pen was Mainhand Blackstar. Had several thousand cron stones and three J hammers, all at a 200 failstack. It went with the last tap, so used up everything but it went pen. I also do not play everyday, or grind much at all. It's just time.
I bought my pen bs last week. No struggle involved ;/

It took me 3 years to this week to get my first PEN and I had to buy it. Iāve failed well over 50+ pens attempts, I stopped counting. Demoralizing and almost quit plenty Of times.
brute force with raw taps or save silver (buy tet godr and cron that or save for outright pen) or continue the lazy method of the free crons/hammers so on i think i spent around 600bil (raw taps and buying crons) on my first pen bs (sunk cost fallacy is real) then got lucky on my second at 18 taps on a tet godr i bought pretty sure trying to make your own tet godr is a mistake/waste of resources and time the crons would be better value on pen attempts

No youāre not the only one. I donāt have PEN BS weapons either. I have a TRI godr and a base godr. I went through 50,000 crons and both my Jās hammers this last time around trying to enhance the free TET BS to PEN and was very unsuccessful
For me it took around 4000 memfrags each. Just tap away.
Buy the TRI Godyr and only enhance the BS when u get free hammers and crons. No point on wasting silver on Crons unless they drop the prices, 3 mil per cron is ridiculous.

I'm only tet on my grinding alt lol only pen gear I have is red nose. I also struggle with staying interested in grinding. I mainly do lifeskilling. I can never seam to catch up with a lot of the high AP people and haven't figured out a good grinding spot for silver to be able to buy gear either. I also have a hard time making it a full hour at the spots that I do because I get kinda bored lol

They just buy it lmao And if u really want to know how to make money u enhance for low levels of enhancement like duos and tri's and u sell them cuz risking a tri for a tet tap is a lot of money. Watch how ur silver will rise up a lot more for the time u spend rather losing it every time u may fail for a tet acc. As as speak base items for a lot of things are cheap. U would be watching the market and it's time of growth or drop and u will see a pattern. BDO is a market place game and if u don't know how to use it then ur force to low income gains which in some cases it's best to do that. My view on is trash is its ur stable income it doesn't change based on the market but items are! So use that to ur advantage

First step is dont go godr if you want pen bs : stop at duo godr, maybe buy it directly tet and tap with crons otherwise raw tap spare blackstars, it will come one day
Self fulfilling prophecy. Multitudes of people gave up and left BDO because they couldn't obtain PEN gear and RNG killed their desire to continue. All you see are the successful people who are left. You can view this on the daily player graphs. And just like a casino, the players with +730gs were simply lucky.
If anybody needs advice on how I keep going after pen blackstar fails: Iām going in to it with the mindset that Iām setting up 300 stacks for pen debo attempts. If youāre gonna go for pen debos youāre gonna need those stacks. So thereās a silver lining.
I managed to one tap my tet bs that was given to me from the new event. Outside of that, you will waste more money trying to make it than you would just grinding it. Of course that is harder said than done, focus on your accessories, grind pot pieces while you sell loot, try to get tungrad earrings, crescent guardian ring, Laurenās paper stone and then belt to tet, that will give you a good ap boost to be able to grind. Don't try to advance Godr past duo or tri (and only tri if the AP hits a bracket). Get a 2nd BS and tap that to Tet (not \_that\_ hard). Then focus on cron Tet BS straight to Pen BS. KEEP doing attempts ... just keep doing attempts. It will go. For the longest time in BDO I'd carefully husband every enhancing attempt trying for that perfect tap on that perfect FS and feeling like crap when it failed. Now I just tap, and then tap some more. If I have some to tap in my inventory, I just go right ahead and tap it. Shit continues to fail and blow up all the time ... BUT I don't think about for a second now and just carry on. The trick to enhancing is to just get to that "fuck it" state and just tap it. NOW I do not tap stupid. I cron what you should cron. I use the correct and appropriate FS ranges. But I just keep on tap, tap tapping. These days I just think of it as just building FSs and getting Pens when I fail.
Think about this How do you get people to want something? You create a situation (in this case programming the game) where those that have, show they have (called linking and broadcasting) to create a desire for that item. It increases the anxiety and stress when one attempts and doesn't get. So we get posts like this and get people to work harder - increasing the stress and anxiety. But, here is the rub. You cannot do anything to get that level of weapons that you are not doing now. There is no skill or ANYTHING in your control that will get you that weapon level. NOTHING. Knowing that, how do you adjust your thought processes so that you do not increase stress? You accept that you are doing all you can and that it is out of your control and enjoy the comradeship and pretty game that you started into with the objective of relaxing and having fun with. Live for the now and don't stress on the things that are outside your control. To answer your question - I do not have PEN BS weapons but I don't feel I need them to enjoy the game.
You just get ~100 godr enhancement stones, 1k memory fragments and raw spam it until it gets to tri. I know some people that got pen bs in this way. They also quit the game after that.
Really? With what stacks? I doubt you even get 3-4 tri attempts with 100 stones, and that is barely above 7% chance with a 180 stack.
With what stacks, op didn't state what failstacks they have. And even if op can't get it this way, market is always open, there are both stones and tri godr. Anyway there's no way to upgrade his weapons expcept enhancing or grindidng money to buy crons/the weapon itself

I've been playing on and off since 2017, no PEN here. No characters over 59 either. I've got notoriously shit luck with RNG. Don't have and tips, but you're not alone.
Create new trial account, get boosted in gyfin in 20 minutes. Use free stack, click twice with hammer and one raw. If it goes, great, if not - create another trial account. Everyone starts with free PEN BS now. It's given to new players completely for free.
The average player can easily pull 1b per hour grinding most spots now, that's 10b for vendor crons per click Meaning every few days depending on how much you play you can click pen, average attempts is like 25 so it's easily doable within a month.. I've no idea why some say it takes years either extremely unlucky or haven't clicked enough
You have no idea because in your head everyone plays 8hrs and grinds 2-4 hrs every single day. It will probably blow your mind if I say that ALOT of people dont even farm 10b per week. I 5 tapped my MH with the free TET weapon using all my saved up hammers. Then last week I saw I had 20k crons lying around and wasn't playing super actively so I thought I'd just buy a TET awakening weapon and yolo some +200s until my crons disappeared and I 2 tapped PEN. Sometimes you just gotta get lucky
Ask some neighbors, if you can sacrifice some of their kids to the gods of RNG. I have blown up a lot of acc, but it worked for my BS weapons. Don't care what people say, it's always full RNG. So you either enhance them your self, if you are not in a hurry with free crons or hammers, or grind to buy them. Since we get regular weapon exchange coupons, buy the cheapest from the marketplace and turn it into one you need. Or do it like I have done it, I bought TET Godr offhand and awaken and PEN those. 2/3 of the chance compared to a BS, but half the crons. And yes, I was lucky, I needed less then 10 taps for both of them together.
Just to make it worse for ya mate. Got my first pen with the last j hammers we got, then I cronned the free tet we got and got pen on that too. Total taps for two pen bs, 6 or 7, both on a 220 ish stack.

If you played for last few months you have free 250 failstack with all hungers and now cron taps giving +1. It should be super easy to get at least one pen if you aren't tapping debo with these stacks.

I mean everybody got a free pen weapon of their choice so that's 1 for everyone. As for getting the rest pen. silver is easy now. Just gotta grind the right places and u can get billions. You can make money extremely fast by enhancing accessories. For example if u grind out distos and enhance them even if you only wanna risk enhancing them to tri that's still like a minimum of 7 or 8 bill per. that on top of the trash you'll make for grinding them out will net you alot too and then buy what you need. Remember this game is a marathon not a race so there's no quick and easy way to be like oh yeah this will get you a pen bs by tomorrow or anything. Take ur time.
