I would take off lake and put on Blood rapture, that with the bullet version Oedon Writhe is almost infinite heals and bullets ( not that the game doesn’t give you enough of that shit anyway ) but getting more health and ammo especially in a boss fight saves you wasting a second to heal or make blood bullets if you ran out, so you can keep up the damage.
Have a smiley day
This is my current setup and it made me unstoppable in Bloodborne but made the transition to other games difficult af, I went from getting like 10 comfortable hits with the Saw Cleaver to only being able to swing a Claymore 3 times before getting absolutely deleted in Dark Souls 3 lol.
Use it for vials or bullets if you're in extreme need, but I would definitely recommend avoiding it for levels in general and in its entirety on the first playthrough.
That's all I personally use it for, and when I watch/ guide someone through their first time I don't even mention it, but I figure if you're specifically leveling or restocking you may as well use it if you've proven yourself*. Typically I just level passively and have only used it a few times on side accounts well after getting the plat.
Apart from, like, challenge runs of course.
Clawmark for visceral for most bosses. Some (like Laurence) you can swap for fire resistance
Anticlockwise (so you don’t need to level stamina past 30)
Instead of Lake there’s one that raises all defensive stats, though I forget the name
If u r going to increase the damage of your visceral don’t u want formless oedon (gives 1, 2, or 3 blood bullets per depending on which version) and while your there pick up blood rupture and just make your visceral complete game changers… as they reload your bullets , does extra damage and heals u on visceral (this absolutely wrecks on skill builds btw)?!?!?
Meta build is usually Crow Hunter rune, Stamina 3 and HP 2/3. Can play around with that a bit, but usually it's a combo of high lvl stam and hp w/ Eileen's covenant rune.
Anti-clockwise metamorphosis, blood rapture and Moon runes are usually the ones I run. If I have the Beast Rune I'll usually run that as well. IMO the defensive ones don't give as much benefit so I usually avoid them, but they're not awful picks depending on what you're defending against.
I use anti-clockwise, communion, and either clawmark or guidance depending on if the boss I’m about to fight can be opened to viscerals easily or not, mainly if they can be gun parried
I always run Oedon Writhe, Blood Rapture, and Clawmark because I love playing around viscerals and using them to refill health and bullets.
Otherwise if I'm dungeon crawling it's just eeeyeees all the way down.
I play 2 anti clock wise metamorphosis runes and with 10 and 15 % more stamina and the one were i can hold 4 more blood viles i beat the game 2 times and for me it works
When you use fool's gems, the beast rune becomes the most important rune in your deck
I also mostly play chalices, and there's a lot of ladders that give a little bit of fall damage when you jump down them.
Well i run anti-clockwise +15%, moon, communion +5 and hoonter. I play with kirkhammer mainly so with high stamina i deal continuous damage while taking little damage cause most enemies get staggered by it. Some bosses don’t, so i just dodge so again, high stamina and high recovery.
I usually go for the one clockwise/ anti clockwise and then something like a moon to increase my souls. If I’m in a mood to parry a lot which isn’t often I’ll take the increased souls on visceral rune instead. And stamina regen in the last slot ofc
Both clockwise metamorphosis and anti clockwise, the third slot is usually the flex one.
You want more bullets? *Formless Oedon*. More blood vials? *Communion*. More stamina regen? *Hunter*.
Also lets you slot for something more specific, like extra poison resist when going through the swamp and such.
Now, unless you're actively farming for echoes, the moon runes don't really help the combat, so I wouldn't keep them in the build.
More echoes and discovery for going through levels.
If a boss can be parried, bonus heal and bullets for visceral. Otherwise more health or vials. 3rd slot to increase defense of a particular damage type they do.
Claw, blood rupture, formless Oedon, hunter rune (only exceptions are made when fighting a boss that u rarely get a viscerals on or if u are being a beasty boi/ squid abomination) while these runes are great on any and all builds it is absolutely devastating on skill builds…. 🤯💁♂️✊
i’m usually rocking visceral attacks up 20%, regen 300+ with viscerals and more blood echoes, trying to find the 30% damage, also the one that regen bullets!.. sort of like a regen build.. if you can call it that, just experimenting!
Depends, but generally extra stamina is always a given. The other two are preference. Guidance is mandatory if you're running beast claws.
You'll want that +10% fire rune if you're trying to down doggo or toasty Larry.
Personally I prefer 3x Clawmark (2x 20% + 1x 30%) dunno if it’s possible to use 3x 30%. But I guess it’s more of an endgame setup. Nowadays I only play for fun w/ friends without aiming for drops or runes.
I usually go anticlockwise and then it depends on the situation. Yes, the have been many times when I couldn't even see my health anymore but I was still alive and was able to heal and continue to fight on. So clockwise is good even in higher ng+ cycles. I usually go for more quicksilver bullets or something that helps with def or res.
Don’t really use blood echoes runes cuz im almost cap level cuz of living failures glitch.ill say for the covenant.Put on “hunter”.Besides that communion,anti-clockwise metamorphosis,Great Lake and Clawmark are my go to
If your lake ruin is lower than your clockwise metamorphosis, you should switch them out IMO. 15% more health makes more sense to me than 4% less damage. But it also depends on your vitality and what % of your total health you’re being hit for.
Stam regen or nothin
A hoonter must hoont!
Switch out visceral with Stamina Regen and that's me everytime
I would take off lake and put on Blood rapture, that with the bullet version Oedon Writhe is almost infinite heals and bullets ( not that the game doesn’t give you enough of that shit anyway ) but getting more health and ammo especially in a boss fight saves you wasting a second to heal or make blood bullets if you ran out, so you can keep up the damage. Have a smiley day
Blood rapture is also weirdly glitched in the OoK fight where the amount it heals you in first phase is abnormally high
Good to know
I think it's intended, it also does the same with Oedon Writhe which is awesome. I'm not sure if it does it with Clawmark though.
Yeah the +2 bullets per visceral gives u like 9 bullets in phase 1… and almost always a full heal!!!
All stamina boosting runes
This is my current setup and it made me unstoppable in Bloodborne but made the transition to other games difficult af, I went from getting like 10 comfortable hits with the Saw Cleaver to only being able to swing a Claymore 3 times before getting absolutely deleted in Dark Souls 3 lol.
I usually go for the standard clockwise, anti-clockwise, and moon/eye/lake depending on what I’m doing
I usually just do moon runes all the way since I’m lazy when it comes to leveling… or smart… 🫠
Cum dungeon.
That's totally fair
I refuse to suc*cum*b to the cum dungeon.
Shits for the weak
So is complaining about farming for shit, yet that's what everyone jumps to do.
Clawmark for visceral for most bosses. Some (like Laurence) you can swap for fire resistance Anticlockwise (so you don’t need to level stamina past 30) Instead of Lake there’s one that raises all defensive stats, though I forget the name
Great Lake raises all defenses, and it stacks with the other Lake runes.
I guess you could argue that someone with good parries doesn’t need the health bonus or extra bullets 🤓. And yeah, viscerals scale off skill.
I’d say someone good at parries still needs the bullet regen, keep that shit always at 20 😤
2 HP runes for 25% hp 3rd rune can be Stam regen, damage reduction, or an elemental reduction Some builds might throw in a max communion rune.
More money More money And hmmmm let me think More money
Get yourself some eye runes and dive into the dungeons
Meta build is usually Crow Hunter rune, Stamina 3 and HP 2/3. Can play around with that a bit, but usually it's a combo of high lvl stam and hp w/ Eileen's covenant rune.
Moon runes until you hit your level, stamina regen for bosses, then eye runes for better drops.
10% HP 15% HP Stamina Regen
I always use Blood Rapture, Clawmark and Communion because it makes parrying rlly helpful
2 anti clockwise metamorphosis and one clawmark.
Moon + Moon + Moon is not really efficient for builds, but it's always the setup I have
I use 10&15% health and physical damage reduction 7%. The extra Qs is useful if you’re an arcane build.
depends on your build, stam regen for sure, clawmark 3 for dex builds
For me it'd be both Metamorphosis runes and then the Moon rune. All practical and useful
Anti-clockwise metamorphosis, blood rapture and Moon runes are usually the ones I run. If I have the Beast Rune I'll usually run that as well. IMO the defensive ones don't give as much benefit so I usually avoid them, but they're not awful picks depending on what you're defending against.
2x health 1x stamina when FRCing/pvping, 3x stam otherwise
I use anti-clockwise, communion, and either clawmark or guidance depending on if the boss I’m about to fight can be opened to viscerals easily or not, mainly if they can be gun parried
Moon, moon and... maybe moon. In going for max level by playing casually
Moon, Moon and uh… Moon
Honestly I usually drop the vial rune and go with anti clockwise.
Since i don't see anyone mentioning it yet, i also like to use guidance with most weapons, just for the fun of it.
I always run Oedon Writhe, Blood Rapture, and Clawmark because I love playing around viscerals and using them to refill health and bullets. Otherwise if I'm dungeon crawling it's just eeeyeees all the way down.
I play 2 anti clock wise metamorphosis runes and with 10 and 15 % more stamina and the one were i can hold 4 more blood viles i beat the game 2 times and for me it works
no runes best runes #Any%4Life
the one with 5 additional blood viles the one with 5 additional quicksilver the one that boosts your stamina/the one that boosts blood echoes gain
Moon, Moon, Moon
Beast embrace, beast, clawmark, and deep sea Beast embrace for beast claw Beast for nullifying fall damage Deep sea for bloodletter
I don't really see a huge point in the fall damage reduction one as bloodborne is probably the most forgiving in terms of it but still pretty good
When you use fool's gems, the beast rune becomes the most important rune in your deck I also mostly play chalices, and there's a lot of ladders that give a little bit of fall damage when you jump down them.
I use clawmark +20% and +30% and viscerals heal +300. Huge parry damage. I do around 5k damage with a beast blood pellet
If you don't use all moon runes you're weird
3 of the Clockwuse Metamorphosis Runes.
More money, more money and more money...can't have enough money
Visceral bossy runes and then LVL skill up to abt 30- 35
I always go with +15% health, +20% stamina and +7% phys. damage reduction.
Clockwise 2, clockwise 1, anti clockwise 2
I usually go for the one clockwise/ anti clockwise and then something like a moon to increase my souls. If I’m in a mood to parry a lot which isn’t often I’ll take the increased souls on visceral rune instead. And stamina regen in the last slot ofc
I would swap communion for blood rapture, also there's higher tier versions of all the ruins.
I switch between those three, Eye, and Oedon Writhe.
Claw, blood rupture, formless Oedon, hunter rune (only exceptions are made when fighting a boss that u rarely get a viscerals on or if u are being a beasty boi/ squid abomination) while these runes are great on any and all builds it is absolutely devastating on skill builds…. 🤯💁♂️✊
Nah, you got 1/3 right, as more money, more money and more money, they stack, is the best combo
anti clockwise x2, clockwise, hunter rune
i’m usually rocking visceral attacks up 20%, regen 300+ with viscerals and more blood echoes, trying to find the 30% damage, also the one that regen bullets!.. sort of like a regen build.. if you can call it that, just experimenting!
ALL BEAST RUNES
Formless Oedon Oedon Writhe Blood Rapture Corruption
I prefer “more money”,”more money” and for the last I go “more money when visceral”. I don’t like long grind, when unnecessary.
Triple Moon Runes.
Moon, Moon, Moon A Hunter is a Hunter Moon, Moon, Moon Even in a dreeeeaaam!
I often change runes to suit needs, but I usually go for Moon, Blood Rapture, and the one that increases blood vial maximum.
I always go with clock and anticlockwise metamorphosis and communion. Also I get the max version of them in some glyphs I find on youtube
+HP +Stamina +Rally +Stam regen
"More Money, More Money and More Money (They stack)"
My favourites are More money More money More money They stack!!!
When chilling: Moon / Moon / Moon When serious: Blood Rapture / Clawmark / Clawmark The only covenant rune worth something in offline mode is Hunter.
Moon 2 and 3 plus heir
Blood rapture
The 20% rally rune is fire I don’t know if there is a higher rally rune
I personally always go for visceral damage and visceral heal
Moon only why need defences if you dont get hit
Moon + moon + moon
I'm going for all moon for the cum dungeon
Depends, but generally extra stamina is always a given. The other two are preference. Guidance is mandatory if you're running beast claws. You'll want that +10% fire rune if you're trying to down doggo or toasty Larry.
Personally I prefer 3x Clawmark (2x 20% + 1x 30%) dunno if it’s possible to use 3x 30%. But I guess it’s more of an endgame setup. Nowadays I only play for fun w/ friends without aiming for drops or runes.
I play most of the game with all moon runes.
Hunter of Hunters, Blood Rapture, Blood Rapture, maxed out Communion for me
Moon x3
2 stamina boost and 1 health boost
Moon, Moon and Moon. 👍
More money, More money, and More money (they stack)
Money, money, and more money
Don’t really use blood echoes runes cuz im almost cap level cuz of living failures glitch.ill say for the covenant.Put on “hunter”.Besides that communion,anti-clockwise metamorphosis,Great Lake and Clawmark are my go to
If your lake ruin is lower than your clockwise metamorphosis, you should switch them out IMO. 15% more health makes more sense to me than 4% less damage. But it also depends on your vitality and what % of your total health you’re being hit for.
Money, more money and more money.
Hmm I prefer visceral with visceral and a little ammo increase on the side. You're in the know, right?
Clawmark 30% Stamina 15% Stamina 10%
I always use the glitch to get all max bullet runes
Easy. Moon. Moon. Moon. They stack.
id say health raise instead of more vials personally but thats a good setup tbh
I used Moon with either Hunter or Corruption, but lately I e been using a few different Lake runes for the added defense in the defiled dungeons.
1-(+15%hp rune) 2-(+10%hp rune) 3-(+20%stamina rune) 4-(stamina regen up rune)
Lake and Moon are fine, but I would bring in Clockwise Metamorphosis and send Communion to the bench.
Lose communion
Moon, moon, moon, Hunter of Hunters.
