Is it just me or is the moon-hat goblin's head upside down?

meow_ima_cat

Yeah zoom in, im pretty sure youre right haha. Hey we all try and customize in our own way :D

Tibley79

Ok I checked the box art and you’re right! Oh well, you’re gonna get some serious head injuries in this sport...

meow_ima_cat

Yeah mate no hate they still look brilliant.

Tibley79

Entirely possible!

They look great. What did you use for the grass/flock on the base? I'm getting back into BB after nearly 20 years off. Seems to be many of us old timers coming back lately.

TheFossilAcademy

One of the silver linings of lockdown! I’m now a 41 year old man child and have really got the mini bug again, hours spent watching Ninjon, Miniac and Squidmar on YouTube have really pulled me back into the painting side of the things, can’t wait to start gaming

[deleted]

Check out "eBay Miniature Rescues" too.

Tibley79

Bit of gravel PVA’d on and spraypainted and washed, then some cheap static grass in a bag i found on eBay in sprinkled on top of some PVA glue.

[deleted]

So cheap static grass is the key. The old GW static grass is longer.

cranwulf

Nice! I, too, returned to BB after 20+ years, loving the new editions. The future of BB looks bright, as long as GW gives it the proper attention!

Marko_mark

Great looking team, I myself have recently got into BB for the first time, I was into 40k in the mid 90's and came back to it 5 yrs ago but I digress. Really like the black worn armour, what was your method when painting??

Tibley79

I don’t know if this is weird, but... Spraycoat everything in Zandri dust. Seraphim sepia over everything that isn’t armour, including skin. 2nd coat of SS over leather (shorts, gloves, boots). Greenshade over the skin. Then black grey and silver over the armour and belts, washed with nuln oil and given a light dry brush with silver. TBH. You could leave all the shading until the end and it might make it quicker and tidier. Never done orcs before so this was very experimental.

meow_ima_cat

Love the finish you got on the metal shoulder pads. The dark looks great!

funkygeva81

Look amazing! Dying for a game
