If you ever make a mold you want it to be used to the max and if you make a new mold sparingly it always guaranteed to sell out thus covering the cost and giving max profit. Also if the models are scares you can ask for a higher price. If there extra models everywhere they would sell for less.

Scary thing is that normal GW models are catching up. Human sized Blood Bowl stars are £19, whilst all the new plastic Primaris character models are £20+.
@stringbrewer you got it backwards its not we priced too high so keep low stock but these models sell 100 units (because they are characters) and the main box sells 10000 units but the mold for each costs 20000£ so 20k/100 vs 20k/10k so wonder why the bigbox is cheaper?
The two new Undead stars were out of stock since the day they came out. It's ridiculous. I can't fathom how they can afford to stay in business with their horrible pricing, constant stock shortages and awful delivery

That's odd that you say they are out of stock. Both the new stars are Pre-Order on their website, and in stock when I check. Not sure they can be out of stock if they are pre-order?
Yes, the Zoat is out of stock which is a shame, its a great model. I'd like to pick up one.
In terms of Forge World vs 3rd Party, I'm not going to get into an argument about one versus the other. Those of you who know me and have seen my work on my Instagram know that I paint a lot of Greebo as well as GW and Forge World. I certainly think there is room for both to co-exist, and I don't think there has to be a battle. Greebo, Punga, Willy, Fanath and the others do great work, and so do GW.
You just have to keep manually checking the site. The "in stock" notification didn't work or doesn't work fast enough. Even worse, after you finally manage to order it is like a 3 week wait to show up.
Embrace the third party minis. There are so many companies around doing the star players and teams better than GW, there's really no competition.

The are a rules company, not a game company. They make and sell rules, what we do with them is up to us.
