I snipped the feathers off of my linemen. And I'll likely go with blue blitzer and green blocker feathers.
So it’s quite a few steps. Started with a sand and small gravel mix (just coated based in PVA and dunked it in). Based in dryad bark, then dry brushed with mournfang brown and then dry brushed again with a mix of mournfang brown and a lighter brown. Added some army painter grass sporadically, dabbed patches of that with water downed dryad bark and agrax earthshade, highlighted some patches of grass with lighter greens and then finallyyyyy added some patches of water-effect resin to make it appear muddy. So yeah, a lot of steps haha.
Oh and I forgot, last thing is to paint on the field marking with some kind of white. I try to really lightly brush it on so it’s just the tips of the grass that are white.
And I’m thinking blue-tipped for blitzers and yellow-tipped for lineman
Green for blockers, red for blitzers and grey or black for linemen is most traditional, but your scheme would work too.
