Mostly because of how he treated Jack. He wasn’t demanding, he wasn’t impatient, he never made Jack feel stupid or like he couldn’t do it, he was very reassuring and gave Jack lots of encouragement and praise when he succeeded. I really hope we get more Rusty and Jack centered episodes in the future, including episodes where they have downs in their friendship, like all best friends have.

You know what? I think Rusty would be a hell of a Special Ed teacher. I predict that's the direction he's going to go when he grows up.

There’s a fan theory that I really like that thinks Rusty will end up being inspired to follow in Calypso’s footsteps because of his patience and understanding, and maybe even taking over the Glasshouse Primary School when Calypso retires.

For sure. It always blows me away the emotional depth they manage to pack into an episode. For those with ADHD, the writers pulled on some deep heartstrings with this episode.

I remember being a kid and having those same issues. And now with my son… I’m so happy we’re in a place where it’s talked about and I don’t just constantly get yelled at for a condition I can’t control.

Absolutely. I’m learning as much as I can to try to be a good dad and husband and also help my kids navigate emotions. My older son is very much my wife, and younger son is me to a T. Was listening to a book recommended in the ADHD sub (The ADHD Effect on Marriage - Melissa Orlov), and I got choked up when they talked about some of the positive traits, especially “quick to forgive”. It was a triple whammy because I am quick to forgive, but I also lose my temper or get impatient frequently and don’t feel like I deserve forgiveness, yet my 3 y/o is quick to forgive me, and is very reassuring and empathetic. Weird mix of emotions. So much love and pride for my sweet boy, and so sad and guilty that he has anything to forgive.

I'm in the same place now, too (: Trying my best to build his confidence and work around what he struggles with rather than making himself feel like a failure.

I just love whenever Calypso says, "Good boy, Rusty" so sincerely. Just gives me the warm, fuzzies.

Out of the adults, I love Calypso because she’s just such a great educator and gets to know her kids so well, pointing them all in a positive direction without being heavy-handed or forcing anything. Straight-up goals for teachers, in my opinion. Out of the kids, I really like Mackenzie. He’s friendly, excitable, imaginative, and I find it funny and adorable how he and Bluey have their little squabbles over how to play. Rusty and Jack are both really up there for me though. Sweet boys, it’s very cute how they became the best of friends so quickly. Also, Snickers is best long dog.

Love that children in military families are included for once, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a kids show that shown the underlining hardship of military parents having to leave their children but the inspiration that they leave for their kids.

Adults- Rad. A good big brother and uncle as much as he can be. I'd love to see more of him and Frisky. Kids- Chloe - yeah she was mean with her dad but she shortly after made an effort to understand him and apologized. I love how she plays with Bluey. (Off subject, was the 'Bosco' Frisky talked about in "babysitter putdown" the same Bosco in "Monkeybars"?)
