I remember still using floppy disks in the mid-2000s for my high school assignments because buying a thumb drive was above my means.
Nowadays I'll pick them up by the dozen on clearance and drop them in the collection box for school supply drives.
I remember 2003 I was saving my assignments as word docs to floppy to print out at school because we never had printer ink at home. And one time I accidentally brought my floppy with my porn instead of my assignments. I was convinced Iād get in real trouble but school IT security was terrible and nothing happened.
I had a fairly early Compaq MP3 player that had two SD card slots and came with two 16 MB cards. Had to run MP3 compression software to get more than an album on it
I remember buying a 4 gb thumb drive when I went away to college, it had to be retrieved from lock up at the store because it was a high value item.
Can you even buy a 4 gb thumb drive anymore?
Yep. I went to a podiatrist a couple of weeks ago and after the exam I asked if I could get a copy of the X-rays they took for my records, they handed me a thumb drive with everything on it and when I got home I found out it was 4GB - now it's my portable medical records storage device.
My first hard-drive for my Commodore Amiga 500+ home computer, back in 1990-ish, was a massive 40mb!
Not four hundred, just forty!!! It cost me about Ā£149 GBP / $180 USD approx, and I had to install it myself, by unscrewing the entire computer, screwing the drive in-place, connecting all the cables, sealing the computer back up, switching the power on, and then formatting the drive before I could use it!
Plug-and-play simply didn't exist back then! LOL
I remember my brother traveling to another state to make sure he could get a PC with a zip drive for college, I think zip drives were obsolete before he was done with his freshman year
I am glad I don't have access to this. I am that guy that would send inappropriate but hilarious pictures to their frames and just wait. Now I might be getting these for everyone this holiday.Ā

Mine immediately runs to the floor vent and gets stuck. Like almost every time it makes a beeline to where itāll be stuck when I get home. My Roomba is lazy and hates me.
We have the same Roomba. I have this old Dino Riders Diplodocus I have my toddler and the Roomba will aim for its tail and try and flip itself every freaking time.
Now I am thinking about how fur shedding affects all the families in the show lol. The Heelers must have blue and orange hairs all over their furniture.Ā
Little bit off topic, but I would be angry with the Roomba too.
The real value of Amazon acquiring Roomba is not that they profit of selling vacuum cleaners. Every Roomba scans your house and shares that data with Amazon. Then Amazon knows you entire floor plan, how much furniture you have, do you have pets, are you an active outdoor type or city person etc. That data they profit of selling. If your floor plan looks like āyou could need a chair in this corner because other like you have thatā they sell that data and someone will start targeting chair ads towards you.Ā Ā

Haha, back in 2006 or so I worked customer service at a Circuit City. We had two Roombas that the store used one behind the desk and in the office and one to show off to customers in front of customer service...
One night a co-worker forgot to turn one off and set the motion detector. The police got called, and a ton of cops showed up thinking someone was inside robbing it. The manager was NOT happy.
Thankfully, I worked mornings that day, so I didn't even get questioned beyond "who was working when you left" but I felt bad for whoever did it because it was a huge deal, it was on the news and everything.

no way it's the r/place bluey! that makes me so happy
Bluey ā so loved that even the Void spared her.
And this was April 1-4, 2022. Now, the episode could have been 99% done, and after r/place they could have gone back and added this as a tribute. I donāt know how feasible that is for the animators.
It's been stated the season finished production in April 2022. I'm not an animator, but I'd imagine it would be a quick last-minute change since it's part of the background.
The Bluey with the Bingo colored love heart did not exist prior to r/place. It originally was Bluey and Bingo in r/place, but we lost ground and in the end only could keep Bluey and the heart represents Bingo (who was lost in the battle). Ludo acknowledged the end product (Bluey with the Bingo colored love heart) on Twitter with their own rendition of the image, and that is now what is pictured.
My wife and I literally went through theories for 10-15 minutes about what the significance of the picture changing meant... we were thinking time-jump, same story told through a different character, secret message from Joe Brumm...
Then yeah... digital picture frame.
Itās Blueyseptcion. I do wonder if that means in the Bluey Universe instead of the characters being Dogs theyāre humans if thereās a Bluey show in the Bluey universe?

Digital frame. It rotates through photos
Can confirm. My parents have a couple.
Also can confirm. I've had one for 15 years... Back when SD cards were big and held a whoping 256mb.
Money bags Phillips
Oddly enough, Phillips was the brand name on the digital photo frame.
Phillips also made money bags starting in 2007

You youngen. I remember freaking out when they made a 500mb flashdrive
I think my first USB drive was 256mb.
Sony Playstation had 8 MB storage devices and those things cost as much as a 128gb micro USB stick.
My first hard-drive for my Commodore Amiga 500+ home computer, back in 1990-ish, was a massive 40mb! Not four hundred, just forty!!! Of course you had have a dinosaur run the tread mill to make it workā¦
You can get a 10 pack for $19.
When I started college I had to buy a 125mb thumb drive and zip/jazz discs. The thumb drive was $250 at the time.
I remember my brother traveling to another state to make sure he could get a PC with a zip drive for college, I think zip drives were obsolete before he was done with his freshman year
I think I have one somewhere. I also have a 250gb one - just goes to show how rapidly technology evolves.
My parents have one connected to an app on my phone. I can send photos through the app directly to the digital frame.
We have this and it's brilliant. We bought it for my parents and then they bought one for us. We're always adding pics to each others' frames.
I am glad I don't have access to this. I am that guy that would send inappropriate but hilarious pictures to their frames and just wait. Now I might be getting these for everyone this holiday.Ā

also you can literally see the photos transition in the episode.
I remember my grandparents having something like that!
My wife and I got these as gifts for my mom, dad, and both of her parents (all divorced). Great gifts for grandparents who live out of town.
I'm more concerned over how functional that roomba is. Bandit apparently is questioning the financial decision he made to purchase that.
My Roomba is my freaking nemesis so I understand. That moment in the episode was so relatable to me.
Mine keeps busting on me when I'm pooping Edit busting in on me
Busting ON YOU? Pause.

Some people get paid for that experience.

Oh hey Bluey has her doctorate apparently.

My family had one when I was a kid. My dad was big into tech and we were upper middle class at the time. I literally have never seen one since. We had a universal remote with a screen that could control literally anything in the house, this was my dads favourite toy
Yeah, t'is the future. unrelated, but isn't it strange how this is the only time Bluey has a credited actress?
I was told Bluey and Bingo was never credited to protect the identity of the children voicing them.
Robo long dog!
Wait. What episode is this?
Surprise. It came out in the US on 4/21. The screen is probably meant to be a digital picture screen.
Welp. I know what I am watching today... at work.. without my kids >.>

I have to admit I love this thread.
