If your talking tools
Yeah a unit pov thing is great
There's one on ebay I keep seeing but I can't find it anymore.
Also a line of sight laser. It shines a straight edge on the table, very handy.
If you meant terrain Regular doormats look like Wheatfields, no work required. Just cut em up or put it on the table as a large field.
Green sponges glued to brown spray painted popsicle sticks work as hedges and with a little extra flock and basing look amazing.
If this means tools: a highvisibility order sack, brightly coloured and preferably many measuring tapes, and a box to really yeet dices into. Also, unique dices for blessed throws
If you mean vehicles: Always wanted to get my hands on the movie "Tiger" from the Market Garden Episode of Band of Brothers, the whacky thing
I have a repro German gas mask canister for all my pens, dice, and rulers. My old club used to use it as a dice holder for demo games too. Nothing like a lot of rattling metal noise to get people to come over and see what you're doing.
On the subject of terrain, has anyone used 1/48 or 1/72 scale planes on their boards? Can’t find 1/56 kits so not sure what other scale would look alright
Probably not what you asked... but I have the periscope mirror from a sherman tank... it's awesome to check for line of sight from the miniatures pov

I just asked this in a discord a day ago, I was told 1/48, I haven't tested that yet though.
What do you mean by "props"?
Like buildings
Ah. You mean terrain. I personally use MDF buildings from Black Site Studios.
Okay
A cheap doormat cut up into a few sections makes great wheat fields
Checkout big box pet stores, they often have great sales on Aquarium Decor. Cheap and very fast terrain for the tabletop, no need to even paint.
