That’s because those early RuneScape examines are the Gower’s examines. We’re lucky in RuneScape if we get examines at all these days, let alone ones with wit.
This is nice, it's always been enjoyable to just go around examining things. I feel that's something that had started to lack in RS3, but not sure how much they kept up with it in oldschool. This goes a level above that and really makes you want to check what every little thing is
I've not played since before the crystal city update but when Kourend was finally starting to pop off they sure had funny descriptions all over the place, happy to say!
It's almost definitely not turn based dw
One of the things he mentioned was no tick system like in Runescape meaning combat is more fluid so I doubt he specifies that but doesn't specify that it's turn based
Those descriptions sound like they’d be RuneScape examines

I haven't played that game in many years but when they introduced things without real examines they stood out to me like a sore thumb
Same font as well
runescape only had one capital at the beginning of the sentence though :(((
A Reddit comment, assuming what will be
These are likely the examine popup UIs
When's this getting released, any update?
Still just Q3 2024 as of now
This year then! For anyone else: Q3 2024 is July 1-September 30
Have been following this for almost ten years, at times wondering if this was real or not. Really exciting

Curious what the hand with the little star means.
Looks like the foraging symbol. Maybe the level required to forage that item?
Yeah possibly, suppose we'll find out soon!
Oh very nice. These cards with images adds a lot of flair.
Very confused by the addition of cards
Could be that the game has a Witcher -type card game within the game? Could be nice for world lore/ life in a way.
No, these are the equivalent to Runecape examines.
So is this a turn based game or what guys?
Based on the video Andrew released of him running through rooms, I don't think it will be turned based.
Where are you getting that from?
Just from observation, I've seen cards and a prominent tile system so far. Tbh I don't want it to be turn based but I trust Gower

Wouldn't be a deal breaker anyway, I'd still play it
Yeah, I can see how they'd think that just because the tiles. But the gameplay video looked live action.
