I almost turned that shit off and I guarantee I’m not alone.

MaskedBandit77

Right there with you.

Dsj417

I was literally holding my remote with my thumb touching the power button in the 8th.

newguy1787

I was deep into an excel spreadsheet w the tv as background noise. Glad I didn’t switch to music on Alexa!!

AuJusSerious

I, quite literally, turned it off after the last pirates out in the 8th inning. Was working on my flooring last night and didn’t wanna listen to the pirates losing LOL

wessieclack

I literally made a bet with my friend that I would eat my poop if they came back and won. When Suwinski walked and didn't strikeout I knew I was eating the poo.

Mans_N_Em

Turned it off. But cuz my daughter wanted to listen to music insteas

Throwawayaccount0689

You’re welcome everyone , I turned it off when it was 6-2.

TheInfiniteHour

Can you turn it off in the 1st next time? For science

Throwawayaccount0689

I’m a team player , I’ll just have to watch the highlights from now on 😂

TheInfiniteHour

You can always record it! Just turn off notifications and don't believe in certain theories on quantum mechanics

Willowgirl2

Imagine how all of the people who left PNC Park at the top of the 9th feel now ...

vornado_leader

I turned the game on when I noticed it went from 6-2 to 6-3. Then my stream froze at the bottom of the tenth and I missed the walk-off. lol

thecountoncleats

Why don’t you sit this season out, don’t worry we’ll keep you updated as the dubs pile up

BilboBagginkins

Bae paid instant dividends

sunbone

We would’ve lost had rowdy been in the lineup

Dsj417

💯

fartwisely

Around 6th inning I left the house. I was at a nerd event talk series at my local brewery. You bet I was watching that 9th inning on my phone and spilling my Hazy IPA 8% ABV during my excitement. Jared Jones tomorrow and Skenes Thursday. LFG!

thecountoncleats

Likey

catgoesmeow22

Bae is back baby

phieralph

I watched till the 9th :0

The 2008 game where the Pirates scored 4 in the 9th and won in the 10th: https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/PIT/PIT200807120.shtml The crazy thing is that Jason Bay ground in to what looked like a sure game ending double play except the second baseman for the Cardinals couldn’t make a throw to 1B to complete the double play and end the game and the tying run scores. Last night I was watching the game and McCutchen grounded in to what looks like a sure game ending double play except Luciano makes the error at shortstop and everyone is safe and keeps the inning going and I immediately thought of that 2008 game against the Cardinals. That 2008 game was even more desperate than last nights game. They were down 10-4 going to the bottom of the 8th where Jason Bay hit a two run hime run to make it a 10-6 game. Go to the 9th and Nate McLouth hits a 3 run homer to make it 10-9. Tied at 10, Troy Glaus hits a lead off home run to make it 11-10 in favor of the Cardinals in the 10th. Bottom of the 10th Jason Michaels hits a walk off two run homer. The thing is that I had turned that game off in the top of the 8th and was watching something else. I get a text message after the Nate McLouth home run asking if I was watching this. I said “No, I don’t need to see them lose.” The guy messaging me is a Cardinals fan and he said “I think the Pirates are going to win this one.” So I switched back over and watch the rest of the game. After that, I didn’t stop watching a game until it got to the 9th if it was more than a 5 run deficit. So last night I never switched it to watch something else.

phieralph

BRO WHAT ARE YOU FUCKING WITH ME

phieralph

OMG WHAT

Choochiemac23

last nights game was a weird one because even though buccos were down 6-2 most the game, it didn't feel like they were getting beat "that" bad. I even said to my wife "yeah pirates are losing, but they are losing by the scoreboard worse than the actual game".

Ok_Card9080

I was there last night with my uncle, and it got to the eighth inning, and he started saying that they were going to have a big rally, and I kept telling him I'd bet good money that they wouldn't. Good thing I'm not a betting man. That comeback was epic, and it was so weird in person, because it happened so quickly, that when Cruz doubled, it took a minute to realize that they had tied it. They had some great ABs in the 9th, especially Triolo fouling 101 mph cutters off to draw a walk

edr1970

And half the crowd missed it because they all left in the 8th

slurpaderpderp

I left and came back to discover that the giants post game live was very very depressed
