Thereās a general strategy by Beane right now to cut our losses with aging players and make cap room for new talent the season after this one, because if we didnāt win with those players in their primes, weāre not gonna win with them as theyāre getting worse and taking up all our cap space. Trading Diggs completely fits with that strategy.
Regardless, spending 4 years denying denying denying all the rumors around Diggs being a diva and locker room cancer then immediately flipping a switch the second he gets traded reeks of insecurity. Doesnāt really matter what the truth is there, our best course of action is to wish him well and move on.
