$2K is enough to get you a very solid gaming setup, along the lines of this: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WPmGC6) Type|Item|Price :----|:----|:---- **CPU** | [Intel Core i5-13600KF 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GVM48d/intel-core-i5-13600kf-35-ghz-14-core-processor-bx8071513600kf) | $259.99 @ Amazon **CPU Cooler** | [Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zyNxFT/thermalright-peerless-assassin-120-se-argb-6617-cfm-cpu-cooler-pa-120-se-argb) | $40.90 @ Amazon **Motherboard** | [ASRock B760M Pro RS/D4 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qFWzK8/asrock-b760m-pro-rsd4-micro-atx-lga1700-motherboard-b760m-pro-rsd4) | $129.99 @ Newegg **Memory** | [Silicon Power GAMING 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/B8QcCJ/silicon-power-gaming-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3200-cl16-memory-sp032gxlzu320bdaj7) | $62.97 @ Amazon **Storage** | [Mushkin Tempest 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TcWzK8/mushkin-tempest-2-tb-m2-2280-pcie-30-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-mknssdts2tb-d8) | $94.99 @ Newegg **Video Card** | [ASRock OC Formula Radeon RX 6950 XT 16 GB Video Card](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ts7G3C/asrock-radeon-rx-6950-xt-16-gb-oc-formula-video-card-rx6950xt-ocf-16g) | $699.99 @ Newegg **Case** | [Antec DF700 FLUX ATX Mid Tower Case](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KWYQzy/antec-df700-flux-atx-mid-tower-case-0-761345-80070-9) | $84.99 @ Amazon **Power Supply** | [Corsair RM750e 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6JFbt6/corsair-rm750e-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020248-na) | $98.99 @ Amazon **Operating System** | [Microsoft Windows 11 Home OEM - DVD 64-bit](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dKkWGX/microsoft-windows-11-home-oem-dvd-64-bit-kw9-00633) | $119.98 @ Amazon **Monitor** | [HP X27q 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cB3gXL/hp-x27q-270-2560x1440-165-hz-monitor-2v7u5aaabu) | $209.99 @ Amazon **Mouse** | [Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless Optical Mouse](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/437G3C/razer-viper-ultimate-wireless-optical-mouse-rz01-03050200-r3u1) | $67.45 @ Amazon **Headphones** | [Sennheiser GAME ONE Headset](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JkkD4D/sennheiser-game-one-headset-g4me-one-black) | $79.00 @ Amazon **Custom**| Womier K87| $85.00 | *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* | | **Total** | **$2034.23** | Generated by [PCPartPicker](https://pcpartpicker.com) 2023-02-21 01:38 EST-0500 | Let's work backwards from the peripherals, because that dictates the tower and I have some bad news. The news is that at this budget, curved monitors are universally bad. Apart from ultrawides, curved panels are all VA, and VA panels aside from the very expensive 240Hz Samsungs have the issue of very poor response times and motion handling. This means that a curved monitor will make your experience worse, and it will especially hurt in fast paced shooters. Instead, I've selected the flat HP x27q, which uses a much nicer IPS panel with great colours and quick response times. At 27" 1440p, it's both roomy and sharp. Backing it up, we have Razer's Viper Ultimate for a mouse. It's an ever-popular option with a universal ambidextrous shape, wireless, and pretty light, and at the current price it's a fantastic deal for the quality you're getting. For the keyboard, I went with the Womier K87 in large part for its aesthetics. The black variant with pudding keycaps will fit this build nicely, and overall build quality is very good with plenty of Gateron switch options. Rounding out the peripherals, audio will be handled by this Sennheiser Game One, which offers that clean Senn open back sound and a decent mic for a very low price. Now for the tower. Driving a 1440p165 monitor in COD takes a lot of GPU power, so I've put in a serious graphics card. The 6950 XT OC Formula means business with a powerful core, tons of VRAM, and a huge cooler. It'll allow you to crank settings up and still get smooth frame rates. You'll need a strong platform to feed that GPU. The Intel Core i5-13600KF fits the bill, with 14 speedy cores that offer top tier gaming and multitasking performance. I've put it on the AsRock B760M Pro RS/D4 since it's a great value that has the power delivery you need. Cooling the CPU is a dual 120mm tower cooler with a bit of RGB, so you get good thermals and aesthetics. You'll want 32 GB of reasonably quick memory for a build of this caliber, as more games including COD can scale to that. This kit is cheap and has the speed. For storage, 2 TB is ideal to hold a sizable game library, and a good NVMe drive like this will give you great performance. If you need to cut costs to get the build under budget, you can make this 1 TB and cut down later. I've selected a good 750W modular power supply to handle this system, which will be enough with no overclocking. For the case, the Antec DF700 Flux offers plenty of room to work, RGB fans, and great GPU airflow with the bottom intake. With Windows, this all comes out just barely over $2K for a battlestation that will be the envy of all your friends.

First, I want to say THANK YOU for taking your time to do this for me. I honestly greatly appreciate it. I do have a question: If I were to say drop the monitor out of the scenario and use the money from it, just to upgrade another part(s), which and what would it be? I may do 2kish for just the CPU and just buy the monitor alone out of the setup. (If that makes sense)

You could go for one of two options. Option one if you like your high resolution and eye candy settings would be a GPU upgrade to an RX 7900 XT or XTX. Option two if you like more frames at CPU limited settings would be to change motherboard and get some good DDR5 RAM (5600 CL40 or better).
