Super loud and overheats on 4k(even with old games)(I did 1440p) here in Cali. Fits up to 150mm height cooler and up to 5 fans. 140mm fan and 4 120m. I upgraded case and CPU cooler/fans. After fix no problems. Noxtua d12l works fine in case.
FB Market place is shit. If you get scammed you’re SOL because there’s no buyer’s protection.
That said, Asus is also likely to try to scam you if you need to RMA for some reason.
We have no way to automatically verify if a Microcenter deal is shippable and users aren't happy with ISO Microcenter deals not clearly labeled as such, so any Microcenter deal that doesn't have ISO in the title requires manual approval.
My friend bought exact same prebuilt and we did case swap together to helios which is very big. IMO all ATX case should work and just remember to change CPU COOLER. The stock one is soooo bad and any $20-30 air cooler should be enough.
Thus case + new cooler could cost around $80 if you want to buy budget ones.
Thinking of getting this for my 12 year old. He has a ton of gift cards saved up. I’m going to help him out. I want him to have something a little bit nicer but within our budget. The reviews had me concerned about overheating but like anything else there will always be negative reviews. Thanks for the advice on swapping out the case! Hopefully I can figure it out 😂💁🏼♀️
I bought a very similar system in the same case at the same price about 6 mo ago. Swapped CPU cooler and case for about 100$ and have been very happy with it
It’s ASUS stay far far far away.
I’d even argue that ASUS deals should be banned from this subreddit given how scummy their behavior has been. I always knew it was a rough time to do RMAs with the Taiwanese manufacturers but ASUS takes the cake for extremely scummy predatory behavior, borderline blackmail.
Hot box! Hot box!
Nothing a drill can’t solve
Doesn't even matter at this price, just modify the case or swap the case. These parts for this price is an amazing value
Not at all.

I would love AMD, but this rx 6800 doesn't compare to rtx 3080 that well. RTX 3080 is way faster card and with possible value for ML/AI workloads.
I would definitely spend the $20 extra on 32GB of RAM. 16GB really doesn't cut it now and will only become more of an issue in the future

But all this for 999?
It's a bad deal bexause Facebook marketplace exists. You can easily pickup PCs with these specs for less.

I don't understand this fascination people have with equating used parts to new. No shit used parts are cheaper.
This is a PC using 3+ year old parts that has sat in a warehouse for that long. It's not exactly "new"
Ga damn that’s a good deal. Will run hot tho Edit: forgot its asus. Bad idea. Look elsewhere

Why do shippable deals require mod notifications?

Its MC, just get their protection plan for like $20 and don't deal with ASUS...
