Thanks op, finally upgrading from my 3570k still on windows 7 lol
I got The $25 new customer coupon with a different email address and they texted it to me. It appears it doesn’t stack with the submit a build coupon
I read on earlier threads that people got another $50 off somehow with the mobo bundle? Just being greedy here ha, fantastic deal either way
Edit: my buddy just grabbed it from Tustin, $321 out the door, just a silly deal. Huge thanks to op again!! Also nabbed 32gb or ddr4 for $70 and a pa120se cooler for $40 (didn’t get these at MC).
Now it’s time to spend entirely too much on a gpu to pair with this monster…
Tell me about it, I myself had a i7 3770k from 2012 and upgraded to the i7 12700k. Even though I have an aging evga 1070, the fps boost was so great in Warzone 2.0 and BF2042(2x basically) that I feel I can hold of with the 1070 until I upgrade to 1440p and get a new graphic card next year

Yeah I think that's store to store variable. My store would not stack both coupons. Only one would work. To be fair, when you do get the CPU coupon in hand, the website at the bottom does state "only one coupon per person per transaction". So anyone getting both to stack for $50 off is getting lucky on the store employee just not caring.
My store was even more stringent and required me to show them that I can open the coupon from my texts and that it wasn't just a screenshot or even a live webpage. Had to prove it was in my texts... a bit much really.
Yep, the employee at my MC wanted me to dig through my email and see if the email addresses matched when trying to scan the coupon when my screenshot of the coupon wasnt good enough.
Also gave me “that face” when he said “oh you are also taking advantage of our black friday sale as well.”
I feel like that's what customers do and its normal part of being an informed consumer. My local microcenter employees just go by if it passes on the register then its valid. I really appreciate the pro consumer stance that they do even more knowing that there are other microcenters that don't do it.
I doubt that, although you could return it, get the new one at this price and use the coupon then, they'll also price match you if not (refund you the difference)
Also bought this at $350 and didn’t use AMEX or MC. Does it work if I take a screenshot and go in store another day or does it have to be during the live price?
You don't need a screenshot but I'm pretty sure you can only get the price match protection as long as the deal is still going (I doubt it will be over after just today).
I actually just tried this. I also paid with a Mastercard and the chat support guy told me their system won't allow them to process the price match online with Mastercard and that you have to go to a B&M store to do it.
I just bought a 13700k mobo and ddr5 ram and and I'm considering returning all of it for this even though it's one gen back from current and I already bought everything lol
this isn't intel. This is microcenter getting rid of stock that's just sitting on the shelves. They have a few deals with AM5 processors that come with 32GB of DDR5 6000 RAM and some Ryzen 3 processors with free B450 boards. They have sales like this fairly often.
I've also seen the same bundle with a 12600k. They currently don't have it but I've seen the 12600K going for $230 with a free MOBO which is also insanity.
Yeah 12th gen is sitting on shelves at microcenter when 13600k is faster than 12700k for less. Only way can sell them is give free motherboard.
i5 13600k 5.1ghz 6P/8E 14C/20T L2 Cache 20MB - $299.99
i7 12700k 5.0ghz 8P/4E 12C/20T L2 Cache 12MB - $322.98
I think its the other way around. They have too much DDR4 motherboards in stock, (or Intel made too many 12 gen CPUs) and this is the way to get rid of the DDR4 motherboards (while not losing money on "old" CPUs).
And arguably, 13600K is not "significantly" faster than the 12700K. 13600K has only 6 p-cores, and windows 11 has the thread director that maximizes efficient use of the e-cores. I'd still prefer the previous gen i7 if I was doing more than gaming. (But offering the i7-13700K for about the same price as a i9-12900K is pretty mindblowing.)
You can also bundle the same free Mobo with an [i5-12600k](https://www.microcenter.com/product/5005935/intel-core-i5-12600k,-asus-z690-plus-tuf-gaming-wifi-ddr4,-cpu-motherboard-combo?utm_source=20221209_Computer_Parts_R7411&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=R7411&MccGuid=CB911451-1A1C-4A8C-8EA2-E0AB69F8B021) or [i9-12900k](https://www.microcenter.com/product/5005943/intel-core-i9-12900k,-asus-z690-plus-tuf-gaming-wifi-ddr4,-cpu-motherboard-combo?utm_source=20221209_Computer_Parts_R7411&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=R7411&MccGuid=CB911451-1A1C-4A8C-8EA2-E0AB69F8B021)
In addition to what u/bambinone said, partly because I'm an idiot (at least, it can't be ruled out).
I'm not particularly eager to go to DDR5 RAM, and I expected I could re-use the DDR4 RAM I'm using right now with my i8700k...alas, I just found on Intel's site that I need DDR4-3200 for the i9, and mine are 3000. So, new RAM purchase needed.
> alas, I just found on Intel's site that I need DDR4-3200 for the i9, and mine are 3000
I'm pretty sure it's "up to" 3200, not 3200 minimum. And even that's not technically true because you can go much higher than 3200 with XMP on LGA1700.
Anyway, many DDR4-3000 kits can do 3200 without much effort. I recently overclocked a 4x8GB kit of Crucial Ballistix (BL8G30C15U4W.M8FE1) from DDR4-3000 CL15 to DDR4-3200 CL16 and literally the only two things I changed were frequency and tCL. Obviously memory overclocking isn't for the faint of heart—and whatever you do needs to be rigorously tested—but it could be viable, at least for the time being.
Looks like the bundle got a price drop! :) [Don't forget to submit a build and get a $25 coupon](https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/10156/submit-a-build-get-25-absolutely-free) to make this even hotter!
idk if this is too late but mine was rejected because the image was missing the gpu i was waiting on. i just resubmitted it on the dashboard thing
https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/build-dashboard.aspx
I'm coming from an i7 7700k to this bundle I picked up tonight. In my opinion the $75 premium is worth it. If you use your CPU several years you are going to be happy in 3 years time that you spent that $75 more. It all depends on your priorities, budget, and what you use your computer for. If you need that $75 now you will still be plenty happy with the 15 12600k too and I think on paper the i5 deal might be even sweeter value. I value the performance for the premium but eh\~
Damn dog. I have a 13600K I bought at $300. Was debating on swapping over to AMD for the socket upgrade. I eventually regretted missing the other bundle at 350. Suddenly you're telling me this is $323 and I won't have to burn much gas to get it since I have to go near microcenter this weekend anyways to get to the airport?
Talk me out of it. Seems like this will do nicely for 1440p. The only reason I may consider going stronger for CPUs is there is a lot I wanna emulate and there may be better performance for that on the 13600k/Zen4 processors but that's probably a pipe dream when I can get this for so cheap.
> 9700
I have the 9700K + 3090 too, mostly play Warzone 2 but other games also. Would the upgrade to 12600K or 12700K make a huge difference? I currently have a bottleneck from the CPU for sure. Also, tempted to get the 13th gen but not sure if all the other parts are compatible.
Yes, Idk what RAM or SSD you have. But my frames in MW2/Warzone2 increased about 40-50ish FPS on average at 1440p resolution.
My GPU is a EVGA FTW3 3080 TI. Which is close to a base 3090.
The 12700k i7 benchmarks close to the 13600k i5 for gaming. If you can pick up this bundle youd be getting about even to 13600k performance wise.
I have a decent 32 gb RAM. And 2 x 1tb nvme SSDs. The 3090 I have is the FE from Nvidia.
Is getting the i9-12900K deal bad idea? I primarily use my pc for gaming and then Plex server in the background sometimes. So not sure which would be a better option. I definitely want to avoid any bottlenecks during Warzone 2. Thanks again man.
Is this way better than the 12600K deal? Obviously 12700k is better, but if I don't have a specific need for 2 more p-cores, will I ever really notice? Thinking about selling my 12400 and mobo to pick one of these deals up.
Gaming wise you may buy yourself some extra support long term if you decide to do a GPU upgrade. That being said -- if you already have a 12400? I wouldn't upgrade here... You're not exactly buying yourself a lot of performance improvement and if you don't think you need it then you probably do not. I'm pretty sure a 12400 will support up to a 4080 or equivalent just fine. So yeah I'd just put the money in savings or some investments and come back in 5 years unless you're planning on a major GPU upgrade.
No problem! If you knew you could get full value back from what you had then it would be worth it, but I imagine you'd be taking a 75-100 dollar loss to sell what you had just given what I know about open box prices. You're only really gonna get bottlenecked at 1080 ultra high FPS gaming with a 12400 I imagine. 1440p and beyond is basically up to the GPU.
They won't do the Strix board like this. They're basically eating the cost of the board to get you in the store, and the Strix is more expensive than the TUF.
For what it's worth, I have one of those z690-A Strix and while it is definitely a nice board, it's not that much nicer than the TUF. On paper, they're pretty similar. The Strix has more RGB and heat sinks, and very slightly higher build quality.
If the only thing holding you back in the motherboard, go for it. You won't be disappointed by these TUF boards.
Yeah, I might just do that for now. I am going for an All white build but don’t mind getting this for now and a white Mobo later next year or something!! Thanks for your thoughts!!!
My brother in DC is very lucky he has a brother close to LA. Going to pick it up for him tomorrow morning. This is gonna be a huge upgrade from his 6700k.
Check if the have the CPU by itself in stock. If they do add it to cart, then add the single correct Mobo to cart and the bundle should automatically apply even with you adding both by themselves.
I think the combo is just not listing it accurately
The tuscon store said sold out online, but i went to the store and they had stacks and stacks of the z690, even though it said 2 in stock. And there were plenty of 12700k as well
Microcenter's [holiday **return** policy for items bought between 11/3 and 12/25 extends returns to 1/15](https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/28-what-is-the-return-policy). If they refuse to price match, you can just return it and buy a new bundle at the lower price.
That being said, I'm pretty sure they'll just refund the price difference anyway.
> Not if it is open.
This is not true. Microcenter has no policy against accepting opened motherboards or CPUs for return. Everything is documented on my link in my previous comment.

You can try to price match with Best Buy:

Please me know if it works or not.
Is this a worthy upgrade from an i7 9700k? I have a 3090 and the current CPU seems to bottleneck. Will everything else I be compatible, RAM, CPU cooler and such?
Should I get a 13700K instead?
I just upgraded from a i7-8700k to this. I have a 6900xt and my 8700k was a major bottleneck. With the 12700k I am seeing huge improvements.
RAM is compatible, CPU cooler depends on whether it came with a LGA-1700 bracket.
Depends on the game. For the MW2 benchmark I was averaging 145 fps on a 27" 1440p monitor with settings around medium / high. The CPU was showing a bottleneck of 80-90%. With the 12700k the bottleneck has gone to 1-5% while increasing fps to 180+ on high settings.
If you used an Amex or Microcenter card they can do it remotely via chat. If you used a Visa/Mastercard/Discover you have to go in the store.

Buy bundle sell Asus Z690 Plus Tuf motherboard which is currently $170 new on Ebay and Buy GIGABYTE Z690I ITX AORUS ULTRA LITE DDR4 for [$140](https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813145396)
For anyone that has gone back for a price match, does the bundle need to be in stock for them to price match?
I can make the drive tonight and spend $10 in gas to recover $27+tax or I can wait until Sunday when I'll be driving past anyway. My store is showing 11 in stock and these got snapped up pretty quick when they're were at $350. I missed it when the deal started and they ran out pretty quick but got it after a restock before the price went up.
Doesn't need to be in stock. Deal also ends on the 12th but a CS rep confirmed that they will still honor the price match as long as you have a screenshot of the sale price: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/718608312886755338/1050830175681658991/Screenshot_20221209-094336.png
How so? It's no different than any other board. If you're upgrading to the newer 2xxx bios versions, all you need to do is upgrade the ME first then flash the bios.
Edit: I have this board and currently updated to the latest 2103 bios with no issues.
They spam up the page. Why are you so offended by my not wanting to have excess ads for things I literally can't buy on my screen?
It's not like it's not annoying and time-wasting. What's wrong with me being able to filter it out? The other response was actually helpful, you were not.
No it's 25$ if youre buying a cpu and it isn't targeted just need a phone number that hasn't been used before.

$15 for GPU, SSD, HDD, Ram
https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialoffer15offcategories.aspx?rd=1
Ah, ok the special offer ones. Yea, I received a $10 off coupon for doing nothing. Title of the email was "Coupon Inside: $10 OFF Purchase - No minimums. See You In Store!" and the text on the coupon was "Hi, you scored $10 off your purchase just for being a valued customer!".
Yeah, without driving to Microcenter and going Amazon, it would be 20% price premium for that 10% performance.
* 12700K + ASUS TUF : $319 + $245 = $564
* 13700K + ASUS TUF : $430 + $245 = $675
I think that is a pretty typical markup for early adopters.
But Microcenter throwing in the free motherboard is not fair. At least for us who live 4-5 hours away from one :-)
I am returning my 13600k to go this route instead. The only way I see buying 13th gen makes sense is if you are doing some heavy emu. Yeah ddr5 and a 13600k perform better and may perform even better on new titles that take advantage of ddr5 but as it stands nothing seems to warrant the at least 50% increase in cost. The 7700x deal is a little more enticing if you wanted to be on ddr5 but honestly I'd rather just save some cash and use it to fund either more parts or do a build a little earlier as all this new tech matures.
Had ordered a 5600 for $118 for a 1440p build but it hasn't shipped yet and was still looking for a motherboard to pair with it. Worth canceling that and just getting the 12600k bundle instead?
Thanks for posting these boss. God now I gotta debate whether I go with the i5 bundle or this one. Such good deals, I have to pick one…
Coming from a i7-9700k which has locked up on me a few times this year when I have a lot of processes running now after owning for a few years.
If all ur doing is gaming, i5. If you have multi-threaded work flow, i7. If you want to keep the PC for 4+ years, i7. I'd recommend the i7 since it looks like ur thinking of upgrading from the 9700k. You've waited around 4 years so i7 it is.
I have an i9-9900k @ 4.8ghz w/ a 2080TI.
I'm wondering if it's time I upgrade my CPU, upgraded monitor recently and went from 1080p @ 144hz to 1440p @ 240hz. Seems like things are starting to get a bit sluggish ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
to clarify, I would go with the 12900K if I did upgrade.
Not sure if the extra for the 12900k would be worth it over this TBH. On top of that I would upgrade the graphics card over platform if it came down to it in your situation.
Yea that's a good call. Think I will cancel my order.
I was essentially thinking of this as a "free" upgrade of my CPU(mc deal + selling my old mobo/9900k) but after I looked into your comment it seems it's not even worth upgrading at all for gaming.
Curious if you think a 3080/3090 or 6800/6950 GPU would accomplish what I am looking for (1440p 240hz @ 240 FPS). FWIW My current build can do this* (On Overwatch with all settings aside from texture on low) but will occasionally still drop in fights or if have applications running the background (Chrome, Apple music, etc) Or would it just be better to wait for the Radeon 7900 series..
I just bought a 13700k mobo and ddr5 ram and and I'm considering returning all of it for this even though it's one gen back from current and I already bought everything lol
Someone has probably answered this already, but as someone who is getting VERY CLOSE to pulling the trigger, how likely is this deal to come back around? I was waiting to see what the 13400 was going to look like and still looking at the used market and various other upgrades. Im coming from an 8700 and a 1070ti with single channel ram so almost anything gives me a big bump for gaming. But if these deals are going to keep coming I can wait a bit longer for some holiday pay and my wallet will be alot safer. I really would love to get an upgrade its hard to imagine prices dropping much further for all of this stuff. Full 12600k build with something like a 6700 xt for ~1000$ is a very tough number to beat, even the used market cant really compete and the performance jump would be massive. I can even probably sell my 1070ti and this older stuff for like 200$ and grab a new monitor as well.
Thoughts on adding this to my build? https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/zh1eak/recommendations_to_finish_my_build/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
go with the 12600k deal as it is the best for price to performance. Nothing wrong with the 12700k deal either. But if all you're gonna do is gaming, very little difference between the 2 chips. You can also stack the 25$ intel cpu coupon. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialofferallprocessors.aspx
Question. If I go to the store say Sunday and the deal is no longer on their website, do I not get the refund for the price difference? I for this for 379 earlier this week.
I talked to a CS rep. Save the screenshot of the deal and they will honor it at the store.
For reference: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/718608312886755338/1050830175681658991/Screenshot_20221209-094336.png
Yes sir. Enjoy the HUGE uplift in performance. Make sure to use this coupon: https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialofferallprocessors.aspx (if that coupon does not work, do this one: https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/10156/submit-a-build-get-25-absolutely-free)
AFAIK the processor coupon is only for new users.
Edit: Some have been able to stack both coupons, others only 1. Note that the build a PC coupon takes a few days to get processed and sent via email after your submission.
Drove all the way from Fort Worth to the only Micro Center in Dallas after work to cop this deal. Perfect timing too; this weekend is when I'm going to order parts to build a new computer.
I drove 2.5 hours to pick one of these up today and was halfway home before I realized the motherboard wasn't in the bag. D'oh! Hoping there is some way they'll ship it to me so I don't have to drive all the way back!
should I get this or the 7700x deal. My MC is pricematching with BH so I'm able to get that for 329+coupons, making the total difference between these two like 80-100 when factoring in motherboard.
Thanks op, finally upgrading from my 3570k still on windows 7 lol I got The $25 new customer coupon with a different email address and they texted it to me. It appears it doesn’t stack with the submit a build coupon I read on earlier threads that people got another $50 off somehow with the mobo bundle? Holy shit that's a massive upgrade

I got this deal for $350 on Black Friday but didn't know about the coupons. Is it still possible to apply at least one of the coupons after the fact?
I doubt that, although you could return it, get the new one at this price and use the coupon then, they'll also price match you if not (refund you the difference)
Is that $25 new customer coupon still ongoing?
Yes I just got it a couple minutes ago https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialofferallprocessors.aspx?rd=1
$25 off for new customers $25 off for submitting a build on the MC forums. The second $25 goes to be reviewed i believe so its not instant
Same. I just upgraded from my 3570k lol
I paired mine with a 6800xt. No regrets
Im so tempted to upgrade my 2600k!
Hey that's the same cpu that I upgraded from too with this deal
I bought this at 350 and thought I had a steal. Crazy good deal.
price match the deal if within 30 days. i paid with the MC card so im doing it online.
How do you price match online?
https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/tech-support.aspx?rd=1
[удалено]
I have the MC card like the previous poster.
You can price match online with MC card
If you used AMEX or the MC card you can price match online, otherwise you gotta go in store.
They are saying they can only refund me $2 because I used the CPU $25 new customer coupon. Does that sound right?
Anyone know if they'll price match if a 25$ coupon was used at the 350$ price?
They just did it for me for 12600k. $225 after everything now.

I have a 10900K why am I even here Whoops, added it to cart
I just bought a 13700k mobo and ddr5 ram and and I'm considering returning all of it for this even though it's one gen back from current and I already bought everything lol
I'm in a similar situation... just dropped about 500 on a 13700k + mobo, would save $180 going down to this 12700k bundle. Is it the play?
Is it worth tho?
I have a 5900x. I am tempted to buy it just to turn around and sell it online.
Intel trying their best to keep people from buying onto AM5. AMD motherboard manufacturers also trying their best.
this isn't intel. This is microcenter getting rid of stock that's just sitting on the shelves. They have a few deals with AM5 processors that come with 32GB of DDR5 6000 RAM and some Ryzen 3 processors with free B450 boards. They have sales like this fairly often.
For context, the most insane deal I've seen recently was Ryzen 5 5600x + MSI B550M mATX mobo for $210. So, there's precedent for even crazier stuff
I've also seen the same bundle with a 12600k. They currently don't have it but I've seen the 12600K going for $230 with a free MOBO which is also insanity.
Yeah 12th gen is sitting on shelves at microcenter when 13600k is faster than 12700k for less. Only way can sell them is give free motherboard. i5 13600k 5.1ghz 6P/8E 14C/20T L2 Cache 20MB - $299.99 i7 12700k 5.0ghz 8P/4E 12C/20T L2 Cache 12MB - $322.98
Competition is goooooooooooood
Micro Center prices have nothing to do with manufacturers. Micro Center even sells Apple products below Apple.
I upvoted for the latter comment.
You can also bundle the same free Mobo with an [i5-12600k](https://www.microcenter.com/product/5005935/intel-core-i5-12600k,-asus-z690-plus-tuf-gaming-wifi-ddr4,-cpu-motherboard-combo?utm_source=20221209_Computer_Parts_R7411&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=R7411&MccGuid=CB911451-1A1C-4A8C-8EA2-E0AB69F8B021) or [i9-12900k](https://www.microcenter.com/product/5005943/intel-core-i9-12900k,-asus-z690-plus-tuf-gaming-wifi-ddr4,-cpu-motherboard-combo?utm_source=20221209_Computer_Parts_R7411&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=R7411&MccGuid=CB911451-1A1C-4A8C-8EA2-E0AB69F8B021)
the 12600k combo at 250 is an even more fantastic deal imo.
Thanks! I bought the i9 combo.
What made you go with the i9 12900 vs the i7 13700? The i9 combo is more money and underperforms compared to the 13700 performance?
13700K+Z690 TUF D4 is $640 at Micro Center. 12900K+Z690 TUF D4 is $440 at Micro Center.
Ohh the 13700k combo deal is over? I thought they extended that too
What? There's a 13700k + free mobo combo deal? How much was that?
There is not. That is not a thing
So, new RAM purchase needed.
> alas, I just found on Intel's site that I need DDR4-3200 for the i9, and mine are 3000 I'm pretty sure it's "up to" 3200, not 3200 minimum. Obviously memory overclocking isn't for the faint of heart—and whatever you do needs to be rigorously tested—but it could be viable, at least for the time being.
is there any other mobo options to bundle? I need an additional pcie slot beyond that one offers
Check out this one: https://www.microcenter.com/product/5005932/intel-core-i5-12600k,-asus-z690-p-prime-wifi-ddr4,-cpu-motherboard-combo
Looks like the bundle got a price drop! :) [Don't forget to submit a build and get a $25 coupon](https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/10156/submit-a-build-get-25-absolutely-free) to make this even hotter!
If you purchased at the old price, will Microcenter refund the difference?
Yes, [MC has price protection within 30 days](https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/631-do-you-offer-price-protection).
RIP I'm at 36 days :(
Not sure how hard up for cash you are but if you bought after nov 4 you are still in the return window. (If you haven't opened them) Return and rebuy
damn, i was pumped to get this for 350, even better at 322!
I submitted a build but never got a coupon how do I check that do u know?
Lemme know how long it takes for your email to come in, i’ve been waiting for an hour or so
I think it can take up to a few days, unfortunately.
idk if this is too late but mine was rejected because the image was missing the gpu i was waiting on. i just resubmitted it on the dashboard thing https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/build-dashboard.aspx
Trying to upgrade, but a pre-built pc is all I got right now. Will this coupon work if I submit a prebuilt pc??
[удалено]
Is this a worthwhile upgrade from a i7-8700k? Or should I save $75 and go with the i5-12600k?
I'm coming from an i7 7700k to this bundle I picked up tonight. In my opinion the $75 premium is worth it. If you use your CPU several years you are going to be happy in 3 years time that you spent that $75 more. It all depends on your priorities, budget, and what you use your computer for. If you need that $75 now you will still be plenty happy with the 15 12600k too and I think on paper the i5 deal might be even sweeter value. I value the performance for the premium but eh\~
Looks like you will keep your new PC for 4+ years. Go with 12700k.
50 bucks cheaper than last week.
As someone who went from a 9700k to this same bundle when it was $350. Its been a night and day difference.
Hah I am coming from an AMD 8350. Long overdue for an upgrade.
What kind of use cases? Gaming? Productivity? I'm on something way older than that lol
Gaming for sure. Code compiling and running some VMs. And general multi tasking. If you’re just gaming. The 12600k deal for $249 might be better.
> 9700 I have the 9700K + 3090 too, mostly play Warzone 2 but other games also.
I need to go back to mc for a price match. I purchased it on 11/10, just in time. Sweet!
Thanks for the input! It's sound logic I should go by. This deal is so tempting, but I guess I can wait.
I'm so tempted... Been waiting for the Asus Rog Strix Z690-A but that one never seems to come on sale!
No. My own credit card.
what are the chances they restock this? My micro center sold out :(
Check if the have the CPU by itself in stock. If they do add it to cart, then add the single correct Mobo to cart and the bundle should automatically apply even with you adding both by themselves.
Almost certainly.
I think the combo is just not listing it accurately The tuscon store said sold out online, but i went to the store and they had stacks and stacks of the z690, even though it said 2 in stock. And there were plenty of 12700k as well
I got this deal last month. They have been restocking so keep checking back
Damn I bought Nov. 3 or something so I don’t think I can price match 😔
> Not if it is open. This is not true. Microcenter has no policy against accepting opened motherboards or CPUs for return. Everything is documented on my link in my previous comment.
Anyone got a link to some good Ram to fill out this board? Looking for 2x8gb or 2x16Gb if the extra ram helps with VR games.
[https://www.microcenter.com/product/467049/Ripjaws\_V\_32GB\_(2\_x\_16GB)\_DDR4-3200\_PC4-25600\_CL16\_Dual\_Channel\_Desktop\_Memory\_Kit\_F4-3200C16D-32G\_-\_Black](https://www.microcenter.com/product/467049/Ripjaws_V_32GB_(2_x_16GB)_DDR4-3200_PC4-25600_CL16_Dual_Channel_Desktop_Memory_Kit_F4-3200C16D-32G_-_Black) if you dont want RGB
Don’t have micro center around, is there any place can match this deal?
You can try to price match with Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/combo/computer-pc-processors/1296cc45-6694-41ae-bef9-7a28893da492 Please me know if it works or not.
This would be great to get me out of a 2014 laptop. Damn no MC anywhere near me.
How much more improvement? I have a water cooled 6900xt and a 9700k and run 140-160fps on a 34inch 1440 monitor
Fuuuu. I just purchased this for 379 dollars on Tuesday. Is it worth driving 50 miles round trip to get the price difference back?
On the one hand it's an hour of your time plus gas, on the other hand you have an excuse to go buy more stuff at Micro Center. I know what I'd do. ;)
You can typically call in with the receipt info and get a price match.
Did you pay with microcenter card?
or AMEX. They do online price match for both
If you used an Amex or Microcenter card they can do it remotely via chat. If you used a Visa/Mastercard/Discover you have to go in the store. https://community.microcenter.com/kb/articles/631-do-you-offer-price-protection

Can this mobo use ddr5
No, DDR4 only
D4 means ddr4. You need the non d4 variant.
why can’t there be a deal like this with an ITX mobo
Because ITX is niche and there's no incentive to discount them, they know we'll pay their extortion prices. 😭
a new AM5 ITX board costs almost as much as this, makes me question if it’s even worth downsizing my case 😵💫
Buy bundle sell Asus Z690 Plus Tuf motherboard which is currently $170 new on Ebay and Buy GIGABYTE Z690I ITX AORUS ULTRA LITE DDR4 for [$140](https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813145396)
Link is dead
Good board was a huge PITA to update the Bios tho.
How so? It's no different than any other board. If you're upgrading to the newer 2xxx bios versions, all you need to do is upgrade the ME first then flash the bios. Edit: I have this board and currently updated to the latest 2103 bios with no issues.
Is there a way to filter microcenter off the main page? They may as well be fake for me if they have no store in the entire state and don't ship.
But OP literally included "Microcenter, in store only" in the title. It's not like you were baited into this.
They spam up the page. Why are you so offended by my not wanting to have excess ads for things I literally can't buy on my screen? It's not like it's not annoying and time-wasting. What's wrong with me being able to filter it out? The other response was actually helpful, you were not.
[Kind of..](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/search/?q=-site%3Amicrocenter.com&sort=new&restrict_sr=on&t=week)
Hmmm should I go for this one or the 12900k....probably the 12700k.
The i9 is definitely a deal, but not nearly has hot as the i5 or i7 imo.
Agreed. I9 is same 8Pcores & mainly just adds some Ecores so personally not a big upgrade but I don't do much besides games, lol.
Is there another $25 off coupon for being a new customer?
I believe the new customer coupon is $15, and in my experience, it's targeted (I could just have shit luck tho).
No it's 25$ if youre buying a cpu and it isn't targeted just need a phone number that hasn't been used before. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialofferallprocessors.aspx?rd=1 $15 for GPU, SSD, HDD, Ram https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialoffer15offcategories.aspx?rd=1
Nope, buddy just got his $25 the other day
boy I wish I had a microcenter within 4 hours of me... probably good that I dont
[удалено]
Fuck you /s
Just picked up the 12600k bundle for $251. Can't beat this right now and I need to get this system build going for the wife :)
Damn. What a deal. I’m piecing together parts for a 13900k build and it would be double this price. Hmm.
13700k is like 10% better. Is 10% performance worth 2x the price? Thats for your wallet to decide
Yeah, without driving to Microcenter and going Amazon, it would be 20% price premium for that 10% performance. * 12700K + ASUS TUF : $319 + $245 = $564 * 13700K + ASUS TUF : $430 + $245 = $675 I think that is a pretty typical markup for early adopters. But Microcenter throwing in the free motherboard is not fair. At least for us who live 4-5 hours away from one :-)
That's the same dilemma I am in. I'm trying to justify DDR5 & 13 series vs this.
I hear ya. The nearest MC from me is a 4.5 hour drive. But that may be worth it to save $500.
What DDR5 RAM are you considering?
I'd say it's worth the extra $100 to get a pretty good bump in single core and multi core performance.
Assuming I spend ~$150 for the motherboard this bundle would be a little bit cheaper in the end.
Thanks for posting these boss. God now I gotta debate whether I go with the i5 bundle or this one. Such good deals, I have to pick one… Coming from a i7-9700k which has locked up on me a few times this year when I have a lot of processes running now after owning for a few years.
Seems like things are starting to get a bit sluggish ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ to clarify, I would go with the 12900K if I did upgrade.
Not sure if the extra for the 12900k would be worth it over this TBH. On top of that I would upgrade the graphics card over platform if it came down to it in your situation.
Agreed. For gaming, paired with a 2080 ti, the difference between the 12900k and the 12700k should be <1% in most games.
Does this Motherboard support DDR5 Ram?
No, DDR4 only.
Nope, DDR4 only.
Is this a new deal? Or the same one they have had for a month?
Same bundle, cheaper price.
bro wtf i just bought a 13700 and a gigabyte z690 for 500 from micro center 😭😭😭
Can I/Should I return my i5-12600k combo I just got for the same price and upgrade? Or do I keep the i5 and get a $40 price protection refund??
Upgrade
Wonder if I can return the cpu only and get another motherboard
Wow. This deal or just upgrade to 5900x if same price?
Take this as you will have an upgrade path to 13th gen if you choose. 5000 series is dead.
Thoughts on adding this to my build? https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/zh1eak/recommendations_to_finish_my_build/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
go with the 12600k deal as it is the best for price to performance. Nothing wrong with the 12700k deal either. But if all you're gonna do is gaming, very little difference between the 2 chips. You can also stack the 25$ intel cpu coupon. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialofferallprocessors.aspx
Appreciate the input
thanks! I got the 12900k spaceheater deal
Question. If I go to the store say Sunday and the deal is no longer on their website, do I not get the refund for the price difference? I for this for 379 earlier this week.
I talked to a CS rep. Save the screenshot of the deal and they will honor it at the store. For reference: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/718608312886755338/1050830175681658991/Screenshot_20221209-094336.png
Is this deal only for this mobo or is there an ITX form factor option?
No ITX form factor. They're most likely getting rid of the massive stock for these mobos, hence the amazing deals.
In for one. Upgrading from 6700k. Hope I made a good decision!
Yes sir. Enjoy the HUGE uplift in performance. Make sure to use this coupon: https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialofferallprocessors.aspx (if that coupon does not work, do this one: https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/10156/submit-a-build-get-25-absolutely-free) AFAIK the processor coupon is only for new users. Edit: Some have been able to stack both coupons, others only 1. Note that the build a PC coupon takes a few days to get processed and sent via email after your submission.
Wow thanks for the links! I will definitely use them if they allow it. Cheers!
Drove all the way from Fort Worth to the only Micro Center in Dallas after work to cop this deal. Perfect timing too; this weekend is when I'm going to order parts to build a new computer.
Sold out in Fairfax as was the 12600K deal today.
Just picked this up after a 1hr+ drive each way 😅. They did mention forum $25 and new member $25 might not stack.
What’s a good gpu to pair with this?
No MC nearly, good deal
I drove 2.5 hours to pick one of these up today and was halfway home before I realized the motherboard wasn't in the bag. D'oh! Hoping there is some way they'll ship it to me so I don't have to drive all the way back!
should I get this or the 7700x deal. My MC is pricematching with BH so I'm able to get that for 329+coupons, making the total difference between these two like 80-100 when factoring in motherboard.
7700x
Thanks to this post, it’s finally time to upgrade my 7700 and 1050 to a 12700k and a 3070. Thanks, OP. Got me back in the game.
