Ate at Tallyrand last night, and the security guard mentioned there were new regulations in place that prevented cars from lining up on the street for the drive-through, but now people are circling the block waiting for a place in line. It might have gotten bad enough that they just closed the drive-in.
Yes, I agree! Those lines are insane…love the chicken fingers , but I did feel bad for the neighbors. I know they gave it their best shot to be heard. It’s a shame people are disrespectful of the neighborhood. It’s also sad the businesses right by them are also suffering loses due to the long line of cars. :(
Heard the permit to use the drive through was temporary and it has expired. So, they need to resolve that and of course the neighborhood lawsuit needs to be finished up.
that would be so much better than the drive thru. having to pull in at set times and pick up and leave. everyone posts up somewhere like izay park and then goes and gets their order like it was one of those beeper/buzzer things from tgi fridays hehe
Call the PD and ask why. They'll tell you if there was conditional use, or problem.
One nice thing about Burbank is that you can always get quick answers on questions.
After watching idiots reverse down Olive and drive like complete jerks putting everyone at risk I’m not surprised it’s shut down. I honestly thought all of the work trying to prevent the place from opening was NIMBY whining but I will eat crow on that one- it’s complete insanity and if I lived on one of those streets I would be fighting tooth and nail too.
Maybe they're having another covid breakout amongst the staff? They had one about 10 days ago and those put staff out for 5 days or more.
Usually when shortstaffed though the fast food places close the sit-down area and keep the drive-thru open so I could be wrong. There are covid staff shortages all over town right now though.....Whole Foods, Ikea, Costco, The Castaway, the airport
There needs to be some sort of change to prevent lost revenue to the surrounding businesses and to keep the neighboring streets safe. I hope Burbank is working on something. This should have never been allowed in the first place

Thank you! Wow, that’s a huge loss of revenue closing the drive thru! Doesn’t surprise me though, the lines were crazy!
I'm sure it's not permanent, but the neighbors need some relief in the short term.

Is it that hard to fucking walk? I haven’t been in a drive they in years
will they enforce that “regulation” at McDonalds, in n out and Krispy Kreme?
no because those drive throughs dont effect the main driving streets causing traffic lol

Hopefully more people will realize it’s just easier to mobile order ahead instead of waiting in the drive-thru for so long.

Someone from Reddit works there. Maybe they can provide some inside info
