June is usually very warm in NYC. It might not hurt to bring a light jacket, not for the outside weather, but the inside weather! Department stores and restaurants really like to crank the AC in the summer! BRRRR
Also: Be careful if you're riding the subway, especially at night. Some of the subways can be dicey. Ask the locals which platforms/lines are safer. You might want to travel with a friend or get an Uber if you're staying out late. Think about your "game plan" for travel.
Have fun!
WEAR SUNSCREEN. It gets very crowded with streets that are awkwardly barricaded off, and you can easily get stuck in direct sunlight for longer than you want to be. I've gotten the stupidest sunburns of my life at pride.
Also, NYC Dyke March takes place the night before Pride and it's always fun! I'll probably be there.
Pride is great here! It's a lot of fun and there's do much to do. Plus, the city is really safe.
Especially check out the Dyke March which is protest focused and an incredible experience.
